The Women of Tenacity Series Heart of Clay (Book 1) - Will love be enough to overcome deception and betrayal? Country Boy vs. City Girl (Book 2) - A confirmed city girl finds herself falling for a wanna-be country boy. Sparks fly as a battle of stubborn will ensues. Not His Type (Book 3) - Sometimes what we think we want couldn't be further from the truth... ˃˃˃ Watering Jenna’s flowers, Josh heard a scream from inside the house. Tossing down the hose, he ran inside as fast as humanly possible. As he plowed into the kitchen, he took in Jake’s red face turned toward the wall and Jenna, her face even redder, clutching a dishtowel to her chest as she slowly backed out of the kitchen. Her outfit, at least what he could see around the dishtowel, made his eyes widen in astonishment.
Glad he wore a shirt that snapped up the front, Josh quickly yanked it loose, slipped it around Jenna, and swept her into his arms. There was no way she could beat a hasty retreat down the hall in the shoes she wore. Carrying her to their bedroom, he kicked the door shut and dropped her on the bed. Standing up, he gaped at her for several long, silent moments.
“What are you doing?” he finally asked in a rough voice. He felt confused, annoyed and wildly excited all at the same time as he ogled his wife. “You aren’t supposed to be home until this evening.”
A hopeless romantic with a bit of sarcasm thrown in for good measure, Shanna Hatfield is a best-selling author of clean romantic fiction written with a healthy dose of humor.

Was so glad to be visiting Tenacity Oregon again. Shanna Hatfield can just write some of the most heartwarming stories the kind that just wrap around your heart forever. Country Boy vs City Girl is just one of those stories. Jenna City Girl meets Josh a Country Boy who at the time of their meeting is trying it in the city. Josh longs for the Country talks his City Girl into moving to Country and hence the sparks start. Jenna and Josh’s story is at times hilarious and other times heart string pulling. Completely and Wonderfully what a Shanna Hatfield reader has come to expect from her Amazing books. This reader loves Shanna Hatfield’s writing Always Have since first book read and Always Will to the very last book
This author has been a very special favourite from the first book I have read. She’s funny, witty and writes a nice length of book. Try out her books, I think you should be hooked too.
Join Jena and Josh on their journey toward parenthood. Jenna is a career girl, who feels she isn't fit for motherhood. Josh is a country boy, who longs to be a father and loves his wife. When they receive the news they are expecting, the two of them react differently and must overcome this hurdle in their relationship.
I enjoyed getting to know these characters better while seeing how Callan and Clay from book 1 in the series are getting along in life. I did find the set-up of placing this story in the timeline with the other a little confusing but that didn't keep me from enjoying the adventure. Once again, Shanna draws you in to the lives of her characters and you experience the emotional rollercoaster along with them. A wonderful, realistic love story that will keep you turning the pages.
Totally enjoyed the story about Jenna and Josh. Could a city girl who is career driven be happy living on a farm. This story really hit home in a lot of ways. The ending had me in tears.
Josh was one slick and successful car dealer who falls for the niece of one of his clients. Jenna is one highly driven career woman who loves the glitz and glamour of city life and travel. But Josh wants to go back to his roots and be a farmer and Jenna was never anything but a city girl. It is very interesting to see how the two of them fall in love with each other but then have to work out so many differences. The story had some twists and turns where what I thought would happen, didn’t. Love how close of a family Callen and Josh are as brother and sister. I could hardly put the book down.
I have never read a book by Shanna Hatfield that I didn't love. Her books make me laugh and cry. This book kept me guessing but I knew it would have a happy ending. This story reminds me that God holds life death in His hands. I am thankful that Josh waited patiently for Jenna to come to terms with the changes in their lives. Too many couples today run to divorce court without trying to weather the storm of life. My only complaint is I have read two other books with this same cover.
Josh Carver started out as a big city car salesman. When he was in the city he met Jenna Keaton. That chance meeting at a holiday party turned into full time dating. When Josh decided to give up his car salesman position and buy a farm in the country, he wasn't sure Jenna would join him. Jenna struggled with country life but her love for Josh won out. Beautifully written romance, with funny moments, and some heart wrenching moments all in one. Makes for an amazing, page turning story!
When Jdnna & Josh meet in Portland they are up-and-comers and high rollers. He is a luxury car salesman pu,selling down six figures and she is starting her career. Imagine her surprise when Josh asks her to marry him & tells her he is going to farm for a living. City girl goes country but not without a bit of kicking and screaming. They have a life changing journey ahead. A charming, well written story with trauma and triumph and good humor along the way.
This book is precious!!! I love how it portrays that not everyone is thrilled with pregnancy. However, perspective is everything!! By changing her perspective, she changed her expectations & goals for life. So amazing how devoted Josh is!!! 💞💕
I won't tell you the ending - but can you believe I could not helping praying for them. So very very sweet and tender. Such a wonderful husband be sure to read Clay & Callan's story 1st to enjoy this story better. This book is one of the best. This
This is the second book in Shanna Hatfield's trilogy, the Women of Tenacity. This series is full of love with nuggets of wisdom. This an enjoyable series to read, enjoy!
One would not expect Jenna and Josh to end up together based on their different preferences in lifestyles and living locations. They do manage to come to a place of compromise and build a relationship, but then Jenna gets some unexpected news that she is not sure she is ready to welcome. Josh steadfastly loves and supports Jenna as she comes to terms with the changes that are going to take place in their life together. As always, Shanna does a wonderful job of writing both reality and sweet romance into the story. You’ll feel for Jenna in her struggle and Josh will melt your heart as he continually works to take care of her in every way that he can and to show her just how much he loves and values her. There will even be some moments that will have you giggling out loud (I won’t share which ones so I don’t spoil anything). You don’t want to miss out on this one!
This was another enjoyable book full of romance that kept me entertained following the lives of Josh, our handsome, sensitive, loving cowboy hero and the love of his life, lovely Jenna, our heroine. Wonderful secondary characters, new and from the previous book, play their part in making this a fun romantic read. Will be purchasing the third in the series. JudyE
This was a meandering tale that put me in mind of Maeve Binchy. As always, there are perfectly lovely characters. Now to read about Jake's story in book 3.
Another great book in the series. I look forward to number three. The characters are all great and the importance of family is definitely felt. Another great romance by Shanna Hatfield.
