A little slow start having dived from Book Three to Book Four I found myself slightly lost as there was a big time jump but this book had relentless action , an excellent plot and continued the theme nicely .. pretty certain Margaret hosted the Angry Captain .. would have liked to see more between the Demon and Vlad that felt slightly rushed whilst the storyline was focussed on Fitzallans battle .. also then ending was slightly abrupt felt as though left slightly hanging .. I hope there is another to come !!

Vampire Road, by Michael McPherson, is a fun, action-packed read. The dwindling human race battles valiantly against the onslaught of vampires - not the appealing and tame version in Twilight, but the terror-in-the-dark kind of old. Interwoven with the struggle to survive is a love story between the young champion, a Crusader with a secret blood lineage, and a dazzling female warrior.
