You are not picking this story because you want great literature. I only allow the kid to pick one of these per library trip. They have pictures instead of letters for many words, but not the ridiculous pony names.

That said, the kid loved it. Like she loves all pony books.

My nascent reader likes that she can help read these stories. It has little pictures for some of the harder words. As always the ponies are nice to each other which is a nice lesson.
