I have wanted more Leo since I first read his book two years ago. He is my favorite hero of Evelyn's. He's a dirty talking alpha Dominant. He is the boss and always in control.
The conclusion to Leo & Maria's story is finally here. Not a standalone, Amico must be read prior.
Leo is back and hotter than ever!!! Ladies these sex scenes are panty melting. Have your hubby's available 🥵🥵🥵 the author brought her A game. I'll never look at a string of pearls the same again after this duet. 🤤🤤🤤
Amante starts where Amico left off. Like book 1 there is tons of action, violence, and secrets. Leo is the master at secret keeping.

Dark & obsessive. Just what i love,
A super easy read that kept me captivated. It truly did give me ALL of the feels. I liked this one a lot more than the first but i will say the character growth had a lot to do with that!

WOW! I liked Amico, but Amante blew me away! It had me fuming angry at points, ready to cry at others and just down right smitten with the leads. The growth that Maria showed between the two books was inspirational. We were able to watch her grow from this timid girl into this power house young woman then again to a fierce wife/mother.
BUT the real *chef's kiss* of this book is the SPICE! Evelyn did it again. Where can I find a Leo for myself?! This book did not disappoint. Expect the same plot twists and turns like the first book but leveled up.

Thank you NetGalley for the eARC. I am so glad a requested both books because I did not want to wait for the rest of this story! OMG so many twists and turns! I was riveted the whole time. I will have to go back and read the sex scenes because the rest of the story was so juicy I skimmed over it all and kept going to the ACTION! So jam packed! A must read

This is the second book in the Dominant Love Duet and it’s the conclusion to Leonardo (Leo) and Maria’s journey. I couldn’t put this book down, it’s an emotional rollercoaster ride. There’s so much drama, unexpected surprises you won’t see coming, plot twists, secrets, and the spice level is melting hot. Amante is a sinfully captivating story and if you’re a lover of mafia romance, I assure that you will love every moment of this book/duet. Highly recommend!

Amante completely consumed me from the very first chapter. Leo is the kind of morally gray antihero that dark romance readers dream about, equal parts dangerous, possessive, and devastatingly devoted. Every secret he keeps, every controlling instinct, and every moment of obsession had me glued to the pages.
What made this book stand out for me was Maria. She isn’t a weak heroine waiting to be saved. She challenges Leo, pushes his buttons, and refuses to back down even when facing a man who is used to being in complete control. Their chemistry is explosive, filled with tension, power struggles, and emotional intensity that practically jumps off the page.
The push and pull between Leo and Maria created a captivating dynamic. Beneath all the darkness, dominance, and twisted devotion was a love story layered with pain, sacrifice, and fierce protection. Watching Leo struggle between his need for control and his desire to keep Maria safe added so much depth to his character.
The suspense, secrets, and emotional twists kept me hooked until the very end. Every chapter felt like stepping deeper into a beautifully dangerous world where love and destruction walk hand in hand.

5 ⭐ ARC Review 𝑨𝑴𝑨𝑵𝑻𝑬
This is the second installment, book two in the Dominant Love Duet. This read was absolutely fantastic. I enjoyed Amico, book one, but this one came together perfectly.
Our MMC Leo captivated the action and control in this story. His obsession and fight for the only woman he's ever loved. Her safety was paramount above all else. The words from this man would make anyone drop to their knees.
Maria our FMC became a strong and fierce women. Her growth was so immense in this second part. The strength she earned and needed to endure in her corrupt and dangerous environment. The connection between this couple was electric and the spice was fantastic.
I thoroughly enjoyed this read, the storyline was action packed with many plot twists that kept me totally transfixed.
This duet was a first read for me from this author and I really enjoyed her writing style.

Amante by Evelyn Montgomery absolutely came in swinging.
I didn’t think Leo and Maria’s story could get more intense after book one, but book two said, “hold my drink,” and then threw me straight into secrets, betrayal, obsession, danger, and mafia chaos.
Leo is still dark, dominant, ruthless, and completely devoted to Maria, but this book peels back even more layers of who he is and why he makes the choices he does. Does he frustrate me with the secrets? Absolutely. I wanted to shake him more than once. But that is also what makes this story so addictive. In Leo’s world, secrets are protection, control, and survival. The problem is love cannot breathe when it is locked behind lies.
Maria’s growth was one of my favorite parts. She really finds her voice in this book. She is no longer just surviving Leo’s world. She is learning how to stand in it, fight in it, and claim her place beside him.
This book was packed with twists, heat, danger, power plays, and emotional moments that kept me turning the pages. Evelyn Montgomery gave Leo and Maria a dark, intense, messy, possessive love story that felt dangerous from beginning to end.
If you love dark mafia romance with morally grey characters, obsessive devotion, secrets, betrayal, and a couple that burns through every page, Amante is for you.

It is official....Evelyn Montgomery is a mastermind when writing Mafia romance!!! I didn't think it was possible to love a book more than Amico and then Amante stepped up and said, "hold my beer"!!!! Had I not had adult responsibilities I would have finished this book in one sitting.
The last we saw of Leo and Maria was on their wedding day and so it appeared they were getting ready to live happily ever after but let's be real, this is an Evelyn Montgomery book so of course there was still more plot twists to throw in before they got their HEA and plot twists she fully delivered. While Amante isn't as much of a guessing game as Amico was it is still a guessing game. I decided to just go with the flow on this one.
Amante does not fall shy on the plot twists or the steam or the HEA that is so well deserved. Leo is his usual secret keeping for good reasons self and Maria is still standing by her love and really embraces the role that is rightfully hers in the "family". Then there was the added surprise of characters Evelyn's readers have met before...Declan and Magnolia from Atonement. The bromance between Leo and Declan had me just as absorbed in the story as Leo and Maria's relationship did. Magnolia was fantastic at helping Maria find her inner strength. Just when I thought the story couldn't get any better there was another surprise that absolutely completes Leo and Maria's story.

Hold my pearls, I am still squirming in my chair. Just when I thought a pearl necklace had one than more use, I'm proven wrong and there is in fact two.

“I made a promise to a girl a long time ago.”
This book is spicy but also heart stopping at times. With betrayal hiding in the shadows and secret ruining lives, you can’t possibly put this book down without wanting to know more. It’s extremely spicy in many ways making you crave to be in those situations, if you are into that kind of thing. I feel like the characters in this books will drive you mad.
Leo, as much as I am crushing on him, definitely drives me mad because of his secrets. Has since book 1. I get he has his reasons for secrets with protecting his family, but man, if I was Maria I wouldn’t have though twice about leaving his secretive self.
Maria in this book also drove me mad. But in a good way. Watching her arrive and learn how to handle herself was quite pleasing. I never thought she would do what she had to do. (If u get the reference from book one, then you understand what I am saying.) She definitely surprised me in the end for sure.
This book has got ti be one of my favorites! You get sucked in and spit back out for sure. I only gave it a four star because at one point I was like, I don’t want spice right here. Not because I hated it but because I got sucked into the story so badly I just had to know the next big thing, you know?

I was given an ARC of this book and here is my honest opinion on Amante by Evenlyn Montgomery.
I gave this book 3.8 stars. I did like this book better than the first one of this series (Amico). I feel this plot was a lot better this time around than in the first book. The amount of twist and turns in this was phenomenal. The spicy scenes in this book were so much better as well. There were more spicy scene in this one compared to the first book and quite frankly that is what we are here for so I am loving the scenes in this one. I never thought I would care for a Mafia Boss/ Dom book but I am definitely here for this one! I would recommend this book to someone, however, they would have to read Amico to fully understand the relationship between Leonardo and Maria and just how far they have come to make this relationship work.

DAMN!! What a fantastic addition to Leo and Maria’s story! It was everything I was hoping for when I finished the first book. This one is filled with so much emotion, passion, love, drama, danger and twists and turns that you never see coming. Leo and Maria had me completely captivated once again. They swept me up into their story, keeping me glued to the pages and biting my nails with anticipation of what would happen next if I turned the page. It was one hell of a crazy rollercoaster ride!
Fantastic writing, wonderful characters and an amazing storyline that quite possibly might make you throw your kindle at the wall a few times.
I loved every second of it and highly recommend this duet.

Holy Cow! Where are my Mafia romance readers? This duet is for you. It features strong leading characters in Leo and Maria that only get stronger and kick some serious butt in this book. When I talk about butt kicking, I really mean Maria. Leo was already someone to watch out for, but Maria is not to be messed with when it comes to her family.
Remember I asked where my Mafia romance readers were at. Well, this is because this is one steamy read. Those "scenes" had me really hot and bothered in a good way. I might have read them slowly to make them last longer. Readers who loved Leo and Maria in the first book will love this one.

I was fortunate enough to receive an ARC of Amante a story that follows Mafia Royalty, Leonardo, and Maria. This novel has many twists and turns that the reader does not see coming which keeps the reader very vested in the outcomes. Maria matures and truly comes into her own as a strong, independent woman. Though she has the love of her life, in Amico she needed him, in Amante she is truly a partner to him. All the characters are well developed ready to start in stories of their own. The hot, steamy, sex scenes are breaks from the darkness that appears to surround Leo and Maria.
Montgomery has truly put fantasy on paper, crafting backstories, leaving openings for other characters to mature in their own books, but most of all she stays true to the essence she began in Amico.
If you enjoy dark, mystery, with a touch of roughness, this is a must-read for you. I will read it again.

This is the second book in The Dominant Love Duet. Let me start by saying that I absolutely loved book one, Amico, so I had very high hopes for Amante, and I will tell you now, it did not disappoint! This book is incredible!
Leo and Maria’s story continues with plenty of twisty turns, ups and downs, and OMG steaminess! I loved seeing the personal, as well as relationship growth that these two show throughout the story. I also loved the crossover character cameos! This story is a definite page turner!
I could not have asked for a better conclusion to this duet, or a better HEA for these two amazing characters! I highly recommend this book and duet, and am seriously excited for more books from this fantastic Author!

Okay y’all obviously you’re here because you read Amico and loved it enough to read the sequel. Well buckle up for a RIDE! I swear Amante is better. It’s spicer, the plot is thicker, the characters are better developed and are so much sexier, there’s just as many twists and turns as Amico. The love story is precious and absolutely beautiful I honestly love Leo more than my husband mob boss and all. The story was well edited, there wasn’t much that took me out of the story other than to process my emotions from all the plot twists and pure love that these two emanate! Some of the plot twists are predictable but others are not which makes it a perfect mix of hallmark and suspense! Honestly can’t wait for spotlights on other characters and novellas because I love everything about this world!

I couldn’t. I was actually flipping thru the sex scenes bc I was truly interested in what was going on in their mafia world and they kept have sex at the most inconvenient fucking times. The book is literally only 255 pages and I have been “reading” it since the 19th. I just have no desire to find out how it ends. Hope they’re happy 🙄 I’m sure there are good twists and turns, but the first book was hands down better.

Another fabulous mafia romance from Ms. Montgomery. Ugh The beginning had me worried but as the story unfolded and new twists made themselves known I fell in love with Leo and Maria even more.
Ugh and the end I would have never seen it unfolding the way it did.
And the spice is top freaking tier, 10/10.

Another amazing read by Evelyn Montgomery. I said it with Amico and I'll say it again, this mobster romance is nothing like any other you will read. The spice is off the charts, and Evelyn has left NOTHING to be left wishing for. You will get all of the answers you are wanting and then some. Leo is EVERYTHING. and Maria is a dynamic FMC you want to root for at every turn. I cannot recommend this book enough.

Leo and Maria are thrown into danger after Leo becomes the new boss. All they need is eachother and they are for sure soul mates. Evelyn has done it again. This is the kinda book that makes you believe in soul mates! I loved the suspense, the true love and story line. I would say this is one of my fav Mafia romances.

I have mixed feelings about the middle part of the book I do wished a few different things happened but I do suggest this for my Mafia romance lovers . As a reader I am in the middle with this book but overall I do like the book .

The Plot twists and wild rollercoaster ride of emotions had me devouring every word.
The story kept me guessing never knew what was going to happen next and my mouth wide open.

I really loved seeing the growth of Maria, very inspiring. SPICY! Did not disappoint. Evelyn Montgomery has really done fabulous work and I can't wait for what is to come.

what an amazing finale to amico, all the lies and secrets tied up beautifully, obviously with the darkness that sets this book miles apart from any dark mafia romance I have ever read so far. I'm so sad it has come to an end but excited to see the rest of Evelyn's writing has to offer.

I could hardly put this book down. Leo and Maria caught my attention from page 1 book 1!! Touch her and die, and mafia romance yes please!!!!
