This is a really fascinating read, in that it precedes the Society of American Fight Directors, and gives a lovely overview of many of the necessary weapons needed for stage combat. It also gives an awesome touchstone history of the journey from fencing in theater schools to the stage combat now taught. I also love all the simple fight choreography that is given for beginners to practice and use. It also gives sage advice to the director of theater programs who need to know how to keep the work simple but accurate.
