If you're just starting out as manager in whatever business. i'm very confident you'll benefit from this book greatly. With this comes great power, it shows you how to deal with different problems as well as showing you how to prevent them. As i go through this book, i find myself realising that alot of busineses i have been to could use a book like this, they don't respect their employees and they surely know how to be conterproductive, but they don't know how to be constructive.

This book shows you all that and more. It will help increase the productivity of the people you manage which in effect increases the total work output. You'll learn alll sorts of neat things you never really paid attention to. like "Just because something is urgent doesn't mean it's important" little things like that we fail to pay attention to as managers. So my verdict on this is: "A solid read that you would definitely benefit greatly from as the average manager, It should turn you into a good manager, and maybe even a great. given you apply these techniques"

This is the most realistic book about managing people that I've ever read. It takes real life, managers' problems, no holds barred, and explainds how to avoid them ort deal with them when they arise. I just wish that instead of being taught a load of theory at business school they had simply said, 'Read this book.' It would have saved me a load of hassle. If your team is not achieving business goals on time, on budget, and with minimal hassle, I suggest you will probaly find the causes and the solutions in this book.

40 crisp laws for all wannabe and current managers for effective management. Recommended for everyone who works under a manager to assess the managerial skills of your boss ;) All GOOD managers abide by most of these laws. I disagree with some of the laws mentioned in this book but nevertheless a good read.
