*Brown Eyes is a 27,000 word novella which bridges the first and third books, which are full length novels. We'd love to hear from you! The vampires are coming. And after some angelic inspiration, the witches are willing to fight. But Ana, now in complete possession of her memories, recieves a vision of her home destroyed, the people she cares about all dead. Fighting the vampires will surely be the end of them all. Unless she can do something to save them.***Angel Eyes, the final novel of the trilogy, will be available August 15, 2011.***
When I read the first book in this series, Grey Eyes, I didn’t think I would be interested in reading Brown Eyes, the second book. But, since I had already purchased it before I read the first book, I decided to give the second book a go. I am so glad I did!
In Brown Eyes, we follow Ana through her transition into full understanding of who she is and was. We also watch her commit to her purpose. Her choices in love are much more difficult – she realizes just how much she loves Darren, but still feels a deep, soulful connection with Tristan.
While there were still a few typos in Brown Eyes, it was nothing compared to the first book. In fact, I would say that the typos in Brown Eyes were within an “acceptable” range. The story flowed much better; gone were the paragraphs that I had to try and make sense of. I also felt that the twists and turns in this book were ALL believable and transitions from one scene to the next were notably smoother in Brown Eyes.
All in all, I would say that Brown Eyes definitely redeemed the trilogy for me. I was excited to read the third book. In fact, I started it the very same night I finished Brown Eyes.
Wow. Where to start? This book left me wanting SO much more than what it gave. I was excited to learnt that only a week after I found and purchased "Grey Eyes" that the next book in the series would be out. I was very disappointed in this book. They are calling the series a Trilogy. The first book more than lived up to my expectations. However, this book was not at all what it was made out to be. As a novella, it had enough substance to be a full book, but in the interest of making money and trying to get the book out so soon, too soon I'm afraid, they have compromised the story line as well as the ability for the reader to really follow the books without being let down. The authors didn't expand on the characters. It was just push and jump from one scene to the next without feeling. And I'm still not so sure that after the "Grey Eyes" book being fully explained as the title for the previous, why this one was "Brown Eyes". There isn't actually an explanation for anything in the book. It had tons of action, but no substance for any characters. And while it mentioned all characters, there wasn't anything to build from the last book. This is not a stand alone book. If you haven't read the first then don't bother. You'll never be able to follow along.
I want to like this book, I really do. But I just can't handle the whole two souls in one body theme. It seriously irks me. If you feel strongly that I might like the 3rd book despite my aversion and that it will all get better please let me know. I do hate not finishing a series. This is one of the first times I have actually stopped and not bothered to read the rest of the books.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Serving as a bridge in the trilogy, this novella heightens the stakes with vampire threats and a deepening conflict between supernatural factions. It expands Anastasia’s character and world while setting up the final showdown. A solid continuation for readers eager to see how the supernatural war unfolds.
****Spoiler Alert!!!! You have been warned!!!!****
First, I would like to say that this was a really good read. I wasn't sure if I should give it five or four stars though. I decided to give it four (you'll see why when you read towards the end of my review). Felt so many emotions. Sad for Tristan, and many times wanted to smack Darren, surprised about the truth behind Ana's vision which made feel like a complete idiot and take back the thoughts I had about Darren (though still he should be more understanding of how Ana felt), and a little heartbroken about the grandmother's cold treatment towards Ana after everyone found who Ana really is. It was a bit intense. I didn't like the ending too much, I mean Darren dies but then he's not, and through some mystified means. How was he healed anyway? They didn't go into detail about that, but a certain vampire had a hand in that... I mean I didn't want Darren to die in the first place, but something about him being brought back to life makes me uneasy..... Especially since a vampire was involved. And that line Leia says to Ana, "All that I ask is that when the time comes, you remember where your allegiance lies." Holy cannoli, brings on some goosebumps and dread for whatever will happen in the next book. And to bring more anticipation Leia continues, "There are much bigger things at work than a silly rivalry between vampires and witches." What could she be talking about? There's more? Of course there's more. To find out what it is we'll have to read the next and final book to see.

Today's review is on Brown Eyes by Quinteria Ramey
Brown Eyes is the second book in Ramey's The Forever Trilogy and was a sheer pleasure to read. This novella packed such a punch that for a minute I couldn't believe I had finished. I found the story so dramatic that many times I found myself on the edge of my seat. Literally!!
Ana now has all of her memories back, and not to soon. The vampires are declaring war against the witches of Brighton in retaliation for the "murder" of one of their own. And though she receives a message from London giving her three days before the attack, it seems the vampires have a timeline all their own.
With the fate of Brighton weighing heavily on her, Ana chooses to leave the safety of the haven to possibly draw the vampires away. This however is not what happens in the end. Nearly all hope is lost as she makes contact with Darren and see's what's happening through his eyes. Everyone is dying, even him. In the end she has done what she always has. She ran away with Tristan.
There were quite a few mistakes in Brown Eyes that should have been picked up by the editor, and that is one of my pesky pet peeves. I actually can't wait for the next book to come out next month. I hope it lives up to this one.
I was very distracted by the grammar, spelling and syntax errors in this book. The story like was a combo of about six different series I have already read so it did not seem that original but there were many many errors in this book. The third in the series did not have as many errors and the storyline kind of redeemed itself in the end but the series came off to me as kind of spoofy and this one actually had a line out of another series I will not name, swear to God. I can understand what the authors are trying to accomplish by doing it as an Ebook but please, if you ever actually publish this on paper have someone who knows grammar and syntax read it first. I am one of those people who don't use the abbreviations when texting so I might just be being a little harsh. Or, the, if, and, left out in places that they were required and many other words as well as sentences being constructed in improper order. There were sentences that started one way and you could still tell what the point was but it annoys me and makes it difficult to concentrate on the story line. Please keep that in mind for your future series you have planned.
Ok, so I'm glad this one wasn't so confusing and was much easier to follow. I'm glad the story started right where the first left off. We got right down to business and straight into the action. One of the problems I had with this one was that at some point, we seemed to jump around a bit from one thing to another and I cant say much more than that without spoiling the story. The other problem was the ending. Again, trying to avoid a spoiler, I'm pretty irritated with the switch from one side to the other. It just isn't fair. I know, I know, life isn't fair, but still, really? Anyway, I still really like the story and hope book 3 brings about a satisfying resolution. I'm completely torn by what's happened so far....
I was a little disappointed that this book was only 67 pages, but I heard the last book is a full length book. Besides the length it was a solid book. I am getting a little sick of her switching her mind from Darren to Tristan. She is devoted to Darren; however the second she sees Tristan she suddenly would do anything to be with him. I find that very hard to read, because, especially for myself, when the main character chooses someone to love it is much easier for the reader to love him too, but when the main character keeps flip flopping the reader has a very hard time deciding who they like. The grammatical errors were minimal this book, unlike the first one.
Interesting twist on the whole fantasy/vampire genre. Sometimes it has too much going on, angels, vamps, witches, etc. Almost like the show True Blood (not the books). But is an entertaining read, with the overdone, yet still addicting, cliche of a love triangle. Plus the first one was a full length novel on Kindle for .99 cents! This one is a short novella for .99 cents as well. Both good reads for a great price.
I was disappointed in this book. I bought the trilogy thinking I would be reading three books but this series could really have been condensed into two books. I started off really enjoying the first book and then found myself slowly losing interest as it progressed. I even considered giving up reading them at one stage but decided that I would soldier on and finish it. I feel the author just tried to cram as many supernatural beings as they could into one book.
This book is a short novella in between the first and third book and is a nice continuation of the story.
This novella is only 67 pages and is action packed.
We will find out where Ana's loyalties really lay.. and who does she finally choose? To cap it all off there is an epic battle as the vampires and witches face off.
For such a short novella, there sure is alot within it and a must read in the "Forever Trilogy"
i love this trilogy, it's fast paced, interesting, and diverse in many senses of the word. at the end of this second installment i am left a little bit confused, rarely in any story with multiple love interests am i ever conflicted by which person I would choose; and this isnt that rare occassion - i would choose the opposite of what she's chosen and i'm hoping that she'll come to her senses by the end of the last installment.
This was a great continuation of Grey Eyes, albeit short. Being a novella, it was a bit of a disappointment that it was over so quickly, but the story it told was great. I am concerned about Leia and her real intentions. I have so many questions and hope that the third book in the trilogy answers them. I'm definitely looking forward to seeing what happens to Ana, Tristan and Darren.
I'm very torn when it comes to reviewing this book. On the one hand, I completely agree with the reviewers that state this novella could have been easily flushed out into a full novel by filling in the scenes a bit more. However, I do feel like the writing has grown a lot from the first book and that the trilogy has finally found it's focus.
I love the plot going to the 3rd book now, i really hope it changes a little but I'm intrigue on how the story of Ana & Tristan will end... I really hope that they stay together Happily ever after, their love has concord so much in all the different life times that i think they are an inspiration. Love concords all, 2 thumbs up for the author for such a lovely story!
This book was way too short....but still good. There's so many different things going on at once that's it's hard to keep up with. I didn't give any spoilers in my review for the first book because I didn't want to give anything away but at this point I'm starting to lose hope that Tristan & Ana will still be together in the end...it's depressing..on to book 3 to see what happens.

I really wish this would have been a full sized novel, but knowing that the next books comes out in August makes it alright. I can't wait to see what happens with this series. I did get a little confused with the character Leia, but maybe I was just reading it too fast.
The first in the series started off pretty well to me, bu t lost a bit of my interest by the end. I picked up the second hoping it would recapture me but unfortunately not. Not a bad series, just don't think it was quite along my speed.
I have to be honest and I have to say that this book was a little to short. I love the series, and I felt it was kind of abrupt. But on the better side, I loved the details and I fell in love with the characters a little more.
This book was short, only 67 pages on my Nook. For 99 cents I don't see how people can complain about the length! I think that it was nice to tide people over till the 3rd installment came out. Brown Eyes was fast paced and heartbreaking. Going to download the next book now!
This book was not as great as the first but was still amazing to read. I never disagreed with what the protagonist did until these books. How could she choose him???? Anyways its a book that everyone should read. This series is honestly something I would read again and again!
I enjoyed the story very much, but it was more of a novella. It also was in need of an editor as there were a lot of mistakes in the sentences. You can easily figure out what it should say, but they were mistakes that someone should have picked up before publishing.
I read this awhile ago, and I've just now decided to update my Good Reads account and mark this as read. I can't quite remember the tale of the story, but what I do recall was that I was hooked on the story. I couldn't put it down, and I loved the read.
Found this one not as entertaining and basically a lot slower to get through. Still want to read the third to see how the series ends though, hopefully itll be better
It was very short, but it picked up where the first book left off. It was a nice bridge to the third book. I will read the third book to see where it goes.
