This book was published in 1992, but looks like it's from 1978. The illustrations are ugly and the pages are crowded. The formatting is so jumbled that it's hard to know what order you're supposed to read the paragraphs in. The activities are ambitious and not adequately explained.

It might as well be an Usborne book. Lots of experiments that I would never do presented horribly. Yes, once upon a time, I purchased a slew of really bad books. When I sat down with them to create lessons, I realized there was nothing there for me.
