This is a great book to step into the teachings of White Eagle. It is esoteric and new-age, but in the context of Christianity, specifically the mystical interpretation of the Gospel of St. John. I consider myself a spiritually open person, not tied to any religion, but this book truly touched me. It is one of those books that I keep by my bedside, along with his other book The Lightbringer, for the simple and love-filled wisdom they offer. Definitely a keeper.

This was a beautiful read and a constant reminder to work through the heart, not the mind.
Put others first and always, always meditate and be aware of the heart as the path to enlightenment. Enlightenment is not achieved by working externally towards something, but looking deep within myself.

A small book, but probably the best description of karma for the debutant spiritual seeker: "Yet bad karma is created not only by lack of love, but by absence of wisdom, by ignorance. Until a soul experiences for itself, it cannot know or understand or appreciate what love is. Through experience the soul acquires love and wisdom."

It provides an explanation for the suffering in life (often thought of as meaningless) that would have us conclude that our God is not compassionate, and does not care about the children that he created. Here is another way of understanding: "Without the soul experiencing suffering--physical, mental or spiritual--there would follow no expansion of consciousness, no growth from the unconscious to the self-conscious, and then onwards to the Christ-consciousness. Until a soul itself experiences suffering it remains unconscious of the sufferings of its brother, its sister, and thus is unable to bind the wounds and administer healing. Pain brings illumination, compassion, understanding. Every soul learns through pain and suffering as well as through happiness and joy" (p 131-132.)

And, a final word of wisdom: "It all boils down to that one thing: be kind and compassionate, and never willfully inflict pain on any living creature."

Simple and wise, it is a book that I will come back to many times to contemplate in my future and remind me of the wisdom herein.

Its inspirational message opens the door to a new reality - a reality of love, joy and compassion. It also tells us how to develop our innate psychic abilities and engage with Spirit to make the best of the life we have been gifted. Read this book and prepare to blossom!

I'm not that interested in the spiritualist church, but this book has some really good info after you get past that. This is the kind of book you might like to carry with you and return to again and again.
