This is my favorite book for beginners looking to establish a home yoga practice. Lots of well-thought-out practices illustrated with beautiful photos. So sorry it's out of print!
Large book but not thick. Great for new to yoga and yoga curious. Lots of color photos. I like how the authors gave ideas for people who don't think of themselves as yogis to incorporate yoga into their lives. I also like that the photos show people in everyday clothing - not leotards or "yoga" clothing. Plus, this book is likely to appeal to more than just women.
A nice, easy introductory to yoga. Focused specifically on learning to breath and be gentle in movement, this is a good starting point for those brand-new to the practice.
Good photos with step-by-step examples for poses. Nicely written information for breathing, visualization and meditation techniques.
Would benefit from an index, where readers could locate pages for specific topics and/or poses. You have to read through the look through the whole book if you want to revisit a topic and you don't remember where it was.
