Pan flutes, sometimes known as panpipes, are believed to be among the world's earliest wind instruments. Worldwide, cultures have developed their own variants, ranging from the Siku, Antara, and Zampona panpipes of South America to the Vikings' Jorvik panpipes and Romania's Nai panpipes. A panpipe's number of pipes varies between five to fifteen, and each one produces a distinct, wonderful sound.
