3.5/5

Ohtaka Daisuke ("Taka") has always played baseball for his grandfather. He even enrolls in his grandfather's alma mater, Torioka (a tiny rural college), to make him happy. However, his grandfather dies a few days before the start of school, so Taka ends up late and wondering why he's bothering, as his reason for playing is gone. Enter Morino Suzume ("Chun"), the (tiny) captain of Torioka's baseball team. He is, uh, very taken with Taka and tries to convince him to stay, even going so far as to blackmail him (by kissing Taka and taking a picture with his cell phone).
I really love the characters (the juxtaposition of hyper, outgoing Chun and stoic, serious Taka makes for some great humor), and a lot of the twists and turns of the first volume make for a super fun story. I wish that the challenge between Taka and Rei (Chun's childhood friend) hadn't taken up so much of the second volume (mostly because nobody seems to consider it important that Chun doesn't WANT to go out with Rei), but it was still a lot of fun. The fact that the main characters all have bird names amuses me, because it makes for some hilarious visual gags:

Fig 1: The Goshawk*, caught in the sparrow's trap.
Plus it cracks me up that Rei is a swan, because swans are ASSHOLES. (No doubt the author was just going for pretty and vain, but...dude, if you have ever met a swan, you know what I mean.)
*Yes, I looked up the species. Because I care, you guys.

Initially I gave this three stars, but after reading the second volume I decided the whole series deserves more, so four it is. It's really cute (I mean *really*), and everyone looks so handsome in their baseball uniforms... *ahem* Anyway, I really enjoyed this. Good, light BL fare.

I'm dumb.

This is such a cute Yaoi story. I love the characters in this. This story is about Daisuke who joins a university because his grandfather used to go there and because his grandfather loved to watch him play baseball and there is a baseball club at this university.
Of course this club is not what Daisuke is imagining the captain of the team Suzume shows up to pick him up when he arrives a few days late for camp. Suzume is a small guy that everyone likes. Suzume is fun and adorable in this and you never know what he is going to say or do to Daisuke who seems like he doesn't know how to handle Suzume.
This is a cute story about these two and some of the other team members. I would recommend reading this if you love cute fluffy yaoi. It made me smile and laugh, and I am looking forward to reading volume 2.

Lovely, as always! This author knows how to tell a soft story with light humor touches :)
I will put out the drama with the famous player, it has no sense at all ... Chun choose his love not a stupid game !
