Interesting interview with JJ from Stranglers There's no chance of him and Hug making up by sound of things, He had a fondness for Dave and his eccentricities and interesting structure each chapter titled with an M for Music Martial Arts etc Also honest about their poorer releases when they became much larger than their usual 4 piece band
I thoroughly enjoyed this series of interviews with the bassist of the greatest band in the world. Some interesting insights, some different angles on information I already knew, and some detail about his relationships with other members of the band - throughout the last 50 years - which were fascinating. JJ comes across as affable, someone comfortable with who they are. Of course, there's some inevitable sniping about Hugh Cornwell (as there is equally from Hugh) which correlates to any ex-relationship, but it's constrained. Overall, this was a great read. It's a pity we'll never have autobiographies from Dave Greenfield or Jet Black, but we're fortunate to have this one.
