Following the Events of Kindred - North Tulimak and Finnegan's journey across the frontier continues, landing them in the industrial capital of the Carvecian nation. There they must contend with bounty hunters, privateers and the corrupted law itself in their ongoing struggle for freedom, survival, and the truth behind the conspiracy they have unearthed. Love is hard fought, harder still when so much stands in their way.
I’ve said it before, but easily the strongest aspect of Rukis’ writing is the deep relationships between characters. This book only built on the bonds that had already been growing between Tuli and Finn, as well as their friendship with Odina, in the previous novel. Add to that lots of action, some beloved recurring characters, and plot twists aplenty, and this book was just as fantastic as all the others in the Red Lantern universe. Oh, and the ending was perfect. I’m so pleased with the conclusion of Tuli and Finn’s story.
Just like with every other book by Rukis, I was entranced by the story laid out to me.
I absolutely loved all the characters in this book and relationships made along the way, especially the main one between Finn and Tulimak. The ending made me tear up with emotion.
Great book, recommend it and it's predecessor Kindred North.
