I am studying for a PhD in Physical Cultural Studies with the University of Maryland's Kinesiology Department. I take classes, conduct research per my independent study, and work as a teacher's assistant.
I have written books aimed at preteens, including sports biographies and special topics, for Red Line Editorial (2006-present). I also composed a couple of reports for the NPR affailiate WFAE-FM in Charlotte, and wrote features for the regional monthly Charlotte Magazine (2009-2010).
During the 2009 NFL season, I wrote a fantasy football blog and covered the Carolina Panthers for the professional blog site SB Nation (2009 season).
I feel that the best stories have trials and tribulations. This book was lacking in Nash's trails. Which unfortunately makes me view this book as sub-par. However, this book was very descriptive in the field of tribulations. It shows how hard work can pay off. If you call a complete biography a game, then this is basically a highlight reel. Which I understand is what many people enjoy. To conclude, this is a great book for people who want to learn about the great life of an NBA superstar, but may not be a good fit for a person who wants a whole story.
The book Steve Nash: Leader on and Off the Court by Ryan Basen is about Steve and how he came to be what he is now. It tells us about his childhood and all the different teams he has been on. It also talks about the accomplishments he has done.
I liked this book because I am into basketball a lot. Also I live in Arizona and he played for the Phoenix Suns. Lastly, I liked this book because Steve Nash is one of my favorite players aside from Stephen Curry.
I would recommend this book to anyone who likes to play basketball and Steve Nash. Also anyone who lives in Arizona because he is legendary and plus you can brag about him and how great he is to others outside of Arizona.
This book is called Steve Nash: A Leader on and off the Court. The author is Ryan Basen. This book is biography on Steve Nash. The main character is Steve Nash. This book is about the awards Steve Nash has been awarded. It is also about his career. It tells you the teams he was on and how long he was on there for. I rated this book 4 out of 5 stars because it is not that action packed and it has a lot of numbers.
