Reacquainted
Single and known for never finishing a romance novel, Laurie Wilcox is a creature of habit whose work consists of picking up after customers and helping them choose skimpy, yet still legal, outfits. In Fall River, Massachusetts, life is mundane to say the least-that is, until a handsome stranger walks into her store and changes her life forever.
While the stranger pays for his purchase, his hand grazes Laurie's. Suddenly, she is fed an image of a man with fangs who is about to bite. As he smiles and leaves, Laurie experiences a weird, almost déjà-vu feeling. But when the stranger returns and invites Laurie and her co-worker to a dance club, Laurie is disturbed. Something about Alexander Young is making her feel uneasy, but despite her worries, she finally agrees, opening herself up to new experiences and a potential romance.
But when a part of Laurie's life is put into question-as well as the people in it-she must decide whether friendship, life, and most importantly, love is worth all the sweet deception.

Hopefully, they make a movie out of this. And if they do I hope they don't use the same actors as they did in Twilight.

I loved this book so much. Before I sat down to write this review I read the book over again and while doing so I remembered all the reasons I fell in love with the characters and the world Lindsay has created.
Laurie is the heroine of this story who I think we can all relate to. She thinks there is nothing special about her or that her life is all the exciting. That is until a mysterious stranger comes into her store and changes everything she thought she knew about herself and her friends.
Eric is the type of man women dream about. He is strong, sexy, and smart. But he is holding a secret about Laurie that could be the end of him all over again. Unless he can prove to her that their love is worth fighting for.
I found myself lost in this book and forgetting everything around me. I could not put it down. The love and lost between Eric and Laurie had me feeling so happy but when secrets came out my heart broke right along with Laurie’s. I wanted to just crawl right into the book and smack Eric myself and yell at him for betraying Laurie. But when he explains himself and the reasons behind what he did you understand the pain he himself has been going through.
This has become one of my favorite reads of 2012. Lindsay writes a romance that is both sweet and heart breaking but through it all we see that true love can win. 5/5 stars

I thought this was a really fun read. I found this book when the author was featured on a FB page for people who love paranormal books, so I knew a bit more about the book when it began than I think most readers would have. I believe that sort prior knowledge made some pieces a bit more predictable than they would be for someone who reads the book using only recommendations and the back cover. For this reason I am going to beyond careful not to give any spoilers. What I really like about this book is that the story was not the same old vampire love story that seems to be invading the paranormal book market. I also like that it is a stand alone book so you can read it and feel good about the ending and not that you need to wait for the next one to find out what happens. I read this book until way too far past my bedtime because I could not put it down. I love it when a book has that power :). I will definitely be keeping my eye out for her future books.

I liked Lindsay Weigel's writing style and all the charachters but I felt there was something missing in the story.
I can't really put my finger on it why I just plain liked the story and not really liked it or loved it.
The story didn't really pull me in, it missed excitement, spunk...

The foundation for Laurie’s story is laid in the first part of the novel. We get to learn about her solitary life at home and where she works. As a picture builds of Laurie we come to understand that she is hiding but we don’t know from what or who. Her life is very simple. She goes to work, she goes home. She dresses plainly and doesn’t wear make-up – she doesn’t want to be noticed.
Laurie is a dedicated worker in the fashion store that employs her and the manager of the fashion store puts on Laurie all the time. She works alongside Ashley who loves to go out clubbing and meeting different men. Ashley always talks to Laurie about her life outside work.
After they meet Alex Young in the store, Ashley and Laurie meet up with him and his friend Eric at a club. Laurie, who doesn’t go out, can be found at the bar knocking back shorts – totally out of character from what we know of her. Gradually, a relationship builds between Laurie and Eric. From this point in the story there is an inference that Laurie and Eric have at some point in the past met. Eric sometimes starts a sentence, which almost gives away something from the past but doesn’t finish it so we are left wondering what the connection is.
It all comes to crises point after a charity ball when Laurie sees something she shouldn’t have. We get to learn of a past that is forgotten and a possible future yet to come.
Laurie Wilcox’s story of a sweet deception is told in the first person and mostly by dialogue. Rarely does the author use an apostrophe for omission and for me this gave the writing an ‘old world’ feeling about the rhythm of the words, which is very fitting for the genre.
At the end there is a twist – I wasn’t expecting this and loved it! I loved that it made me stop and think about everything I had read and I also loved Laurie taking the action into her own hands.
If you are a fan of the Twilight series then you will enjoy reading Laurie’s story.

Hea y'all Anne here and I have just read Reacquainted by Lindsey Weigel and what an enchanting story to get your hands on!! This book was super fun from moment one. The story line was packed with classic references with a modern twist and jaw dropping turns. Laurie and Eric are the main characters and have a clearly modern attraction that is tainted with a massive secret that keeps the pages turning as you delve deeper into their secrets and omissions. The story is supported and built by way of supporting characters Ashley and Alex who share certain traits in life that cause them to be so realistic it's hilarious. Laurie is a shy and conservative woman who leans on her friend Ashley for social graces in her life. Ashley pushes Laurie to be more outgoing and charismatic in her ventures in filling her lonely nights with fun and hot guys!! Alex has his ulterior motives, he wants what is best for Eric no matter the amount of pain he is about to cause. The book is a true ride through what ifs and what could have beens, of you've ever been broken hearted by a love and thought you suffered most this book shows the counter weight to that! In love that is broken both sides hurt and both hearts break sometimes one more than the other. The twists in the book were so unexpected I actually had to stop and reread some parts to make sure I read them correctly because I never would have expected that to happen. I really enjoyed this book and the feel of it!! I was swept away and taken on a ride that mirrors real life scenarios with an intense paranormal twist!! What happens when your life is not what it seems but you knew it wasn't from the beginning? With details revealed a choice must be made could you choose to give up your true love even if it broke your heart to do it? 5 out of 5 stars for Reacquainted by Lindsey Weigel!!! Grab your copy and get swept away into a jaw dropping world of secrets and choices that will leave you breathless and begging for more!!!

Reacquainted is about a lady named Laurie who is kind of on the boring side until she meets a vampire named Alex, who then introduces her to a vampire named Eric who changes her life. Laurie learns that there is a lot more to know about the people around her. With all the untold secrets, twist and turns and deception, Reacquainted takes you on a awesome ride and when you think you know whats going on it all changes and flips you up side down.
Lindsay wrote an amazing book. The plot and the smoothness of Reacquainted was wonderful. I loved Ashley and her craziness, Laurie with her laid-back attitude, Eric was just hot and Alex being the funny peace keeper. The twist and turns in this novel were great, I was never expecting it to turn out the way it did. The only thing that keeps me from giving this book 5 stars is that I wanted more. While reading I was always searching for more details or more background details. I just felt as if it was missing something that could make it even better than what it was. Don't get me wrong, it was a lovely book but it could have been better for me in some parts.
All in all I would definitely refer Reacquainted to other for a good read. Like Ive said its an amazing book with a great story line.

If you have been looking around for a novel and are in need of some good old fashioned Romance, Reacquainted may just be the book for you to sink your fangs into. The story is full of unexpected twists and great comic relief. The two main characters are a natural fit for each other and are very believable.
From the first page I was trying to figure everything out and continued to do so throughout the entire book! I will warn you that the author Lindsay Weigel is a little tricky, you may find yourself doing a double take as you are left with the feeling that she has slapped you awake in the end! I mean that in the best of ways.
As I have stated I call this old fashioned romance mostly because the steam factor is a little low, however it is made up for with the love that the two main characters (Laurie and Eric) share for each other. My only complaint is that there isn’t really any action that I feel could have been useful. All around I really enjoyed this story and hope she continues writing about Laurie and Eric in the future. Perhaps if I cross my fingers she will even add a few steamy scenes!

loved it.....i want more ur amazing Lindsay!!!!! keep it up with the great work....i love how there was a deleted scene in the end i was a little confused at first but then i reread the book again and i got it.... Amazing!!!!!

I really enjoyed the story and think Lindsay is a creative, talented writer. Reacquainted needs a little more editing to weed out some of the unnecessary dialogue and a few errors, but is overall an entertaining story. I'm looking forward to more from this author.
