This 28 page book accompanied the 1999 solo exhibition of painter, Mitchell Johnson, at the Galleria D'Arte Contemporanea in San Donato Milanese, Italy. This exhibition was curated by Roberto Civardi and the book features an Italian essay by art critic, Martina Corgnati, an English essay by American poet, W.S. Di Piero, and a French essay by Professor Claude Pichevin. There are 19 color plates. This collectible item is available only at Amazon. Mitchell Johnson is well known for his modernist landscapes of Europe and Cape Cod. For more than 25 years, he has simultaneously produced color-field paintings which explore the emotional and psychological content of color. Johnson was a 2007 artist in residence at the Josef and Anni Albers Foundation. He completed his MFA in painting at Parsons School of Design in New York in 1990.
