It only took me about 10-15 minutes to read this book because the majority of it was pictures :P But it was a fun and quick book to read if you like the Hunger Games trilogy :)

En este libro podemos encontrar la historia, resumida, de "Los juegos del hambre". Se cuenta los hechos del primer libro a través de texto,(con letra demasiado grande), e imágenes. Por cierto, las fotografías son lo mejor que hay en este libro.
Simplemente es para tenerlo como parte de la colección al lado de los libros de la trilogía, para demostrar que sos un fan tan friki que te compras el libro con imágenes de la película.
Amigos: no vale la pena comprarlo nuevo. Aparte es una edición española y deja muuuuucho que desear. Menos mal que lo compre de segunda mano por cien pesitos argentinos.

No aporta nada nuevo, pero es una gran oportunidad para los fans adictos a "Los juegos del hambre" que puedan echar un vistazo a cómo cobró vida el libro a la pantalla. La fotografía es espectacular.

Anyone who knows me, knows I am a massive Hunger Games fan - we're talking obsession here! So anything to do with HG is going to be devoured by me.
Being broke - I couldn't afford to buy this, plus I didn't know much about it, so I requested it from the library. There was a delay with the order as it only just came in this week and I had totally forgotten about it.
When it arrived I was excited and had a quick flick - and noticed a lot of pictures, but it looked cool so I put it in my bag to take home.
I had 30 minutes spare and had just finished my last book so I picked this up to start, however I managed to get through the whole thing in that time.
This book was a little disappointing, it is basically a summary of the book/film, with pictures from the film throughout and pages of quotes, I mean, it was quite cool to look through but not really anything we hadn't seen before.
This would be a good refresher if you wanted to read book 2 & 3 but couldn't remember what happened in the first one, but for hard-core fans it's a bit basic. I definitely wouldn't pay the full £10 they are asking for it.
Also in the synopsis it says "full-colour guide to all the districts of Panem" but apart from District 12 which it talks about a little bit, it mostly glazes over the others, it mentions that there are 12 districts surrounding the capitol and that they all have their own purpose but that's about it, there isn't any more detail than that, it's not really a guide to them at all.
Overall this is a nicely turned out little book with some good pictures and quotes but not really anything special. Proper fans would expect more.
If you are only just getting into the world of the Hunger Games then this would be very good, but otherwise too basic.

No es que tenga mucho texto, ya que solo habla un poco de La historia de Panem, sus habitantes, los distritos y los juegos del hambre vividos por Katniss y Peeta, como mucho hay unas 20 páginas de texto y estoy siendo exagerada.
Nos muestran las imágenes de forma cronológica a la película y hay muy buenas imágenes y datos que nos acercan más a Panem y a sus habitantes.
También nos cuentan cosillas curioias entre algunas citas tanto d ela película como comentarios de la autora.

Me gusto bastante. Ofrece un resumen ilustrado de la primera película bastante exacto, pero no más que eso. Promete ser la guía oficial del mundo de los juegos del hambre y no lo logra. De todos modos, fue muy rápido de leer

Much like with the Tribute Guide, this book has nothing new for real fans of The Hunger Games.
The book itself looks really nice and includes some pictures I don't remember seeing officially released elsewhere, but it's basically just a summary of the movie (and a bad one at that). It provided completely random pieces of information and then left out other, more worthwhile parts of the storyline (like the changes in rules during the games that allows Katniss and Peeta to team up). Plus, it oddly rushes through the Games themselves, devoting only 48 pages to pics/content from the arena in a 192 page book.
As for the additional, new content from interviews with Suzanne Collins, I remember reading one or two quotes from her in the book, but they were so uninteresting that I don't even remember what they were about.
I have no idea how this book is averaging 4.5 stars. This is most definitely another book that was written for the sole purpose of capitalizing on the release of the movie. I just wish Scholastic had been honest and said these tie-in books were literally just amateur summaries of the movie.

This is probably an even better refresher than the other one I just reviewed with ton more pictures. This one actually acts much more as a summary than the other though.

Leer esto con una playlist del soundtrack de las películas de fondo fue como un abracito al corazón ❤️🩹 me dio mucha nostalgia y mucha alegría reencontrarme con la historia y los personajes, a pesar de que no hay trama ni nada nuevo, simplemente nos muestran imágenes y describen algunas escenas de la película, recordé todo lo que sentí al leer estos libros y por qué se volvieron tan importante para la maca de 16 años ❤️🩹. Ahora tengo muchas ganas de releer la trilogía 🤩

Wat een mooie hardcovereditie is dit ❤ Heel erg van genoten! Waarom las ik dit boek niet eerder? Er zitten trouwens prachtige foto's in verwerkt en deze soort boeken zijn echt perfect om je weer heel eventjes in THG-wereld te wanen. Yay! Ik ben alvast fan. Misschien 1 mini klein minpuntje: ik had gehoopt op iets meer tekst want de overhand van dit boek zijn foto's.

Pensé que iba a aportar algún dato nuevo o profundizar en la historia de Panem. Si te interesa realmente la historia detrás de la saga… este no es tu libro. Es un resumen muy breve que casi parece una introducción a la primera película (si, he dicho pelicula).
En definitiva, si quieres conocer los engranajes… casi te compensa meterte en la wiki de los fans de Los Juegos.
Dicho esto: incluye algunas fotos de las peliculas que no había visto nunca.

El libro se basa en:
-80% Fotografías de la primera película.
-20% Explicar de nuevo la trama del primer libro.
No aporta nada nuevo, el texto que hay se limita a resumir la historia del primer tomo de la trilogía, las "curiosidades" que cuenta las puede saber cualquier persona que se haya informado mínimamente de la saga y al menos las fotografías son bonitas.
Tampoco es que me pueda quejar mucho porque está en Amazon por 3,95€ y no me esperaba demasiado, (además de que es en tapa dura y a todo color), pero es un producto hecho para vender simplemente. Además la edición (el diseño de las páginas, la tipografía...) es bastante cutre, y han hecho lo mínimo para salir del paso.
Sinceramente, no lo recomiendo. No aporta nada nuevo y tiene una edición un poco cutre, pero si eres muy fan de la saga, por 3,95€ está bien.
Eso sí, después de terminarlo me han dado unas ganas de releer la trilogía enormes.

Este libro lo gané en un concurso cuando fui a ver "En Llamas". Me gustó. Pero, lo cierto es que al menos la edición en español, no agrega información súper relevante que morimos por conocer. Me pareció algo muy infantil y claramente no se compara en absoluto con la saga escrita por Suzanne. Es lindo para el fanático y se gana un lugar en la biblioteca junto a sus "padres", pero realmente no sé si vale la pena su compra. Estoy agradecida de haberlo ganado y tiene imágenes increíbles de la película, eso debo aceptarlo. Estuvo bueno.

Se trata de una narración en fotografías de la historia de los juegos del hambre.
Me ha encantado ver las fotos porque al ir narradas se hacen más interesantes las escenas y las puedes contemplar al detalle.
Pero lo que es la narración o lo que debería aportar o ahondar algo más en la historia y en el mundo en sí de los juegos del hambre no aporta nada.
Sin duda vale la pena por las fotografías <3

Since I don't have any plans to read the series anymore, I thought reminiscing movie snapshots would be a good idea to at least not forget about this well known dystopian series.
I like that this book summarizes the world of hunger games from district 12 life to the reaping and the deadly game and to katniss and peeta as lovers and as victors.
If I have to try reading the series probably not this year or the next years but maybe one day... I know it's confusing but since I started watching the movie series first, I know for sure my perception and expectation is already altered and the enjoyment will not be the same anymore....

Son 192 páginas llenas de fotos en color y con texto relacionado con la primera película. Supongo que ya sabéis que la acción de esta distopía transcurre en Panem, un mundo basada en el nuestro donde ricos y pobres conviven juntos pero separados y donde los realities tienen más importancia que la propia vida.
En este libro nos encontramos muchas frases de su autora que nos pueden llevar a entender más sobre lo que escribió. Por ejemplo, para crear el Capitolio cuenta que se inspiró en la antigua Roma, tanto en los nombres (Cinna, Claudius...) como en otros aspectos: las cuádrigas, los carros tirados por caballos donde van los Tributos...
A través de las páginas de esta guía veremos de forma casi novelada la vida en los diferentes distritos, también el hogar de Katniss, como afronta el día de la cosecha y por lo tanto, el día del sorteo de los tributos.
Es un libro que complementa muy bien la primera película, pero posiblemente se queda muy corto en comparación con los libros y no lo recomendaría si los habéis leído, pero en cambio sí me parece adecuado para aquellos a quién no guste mucho la lectura o no quieran meterse en una trilogía pero que sí disfrutaron con las pelis.
Es muy corto y se puede leer en una tarde, las fotos a color son muy chulas, de la misma peli. Acaba esta guía con un glosario de términos relacionados con el mundo de Panem y los personajes que hemos conocido.
Fácil de leer, entretenido, eso sí, recomendable sobretodo para fans, también para aquellos que quieran tener algo más del mundo creado por Suzzanne Collins. No deberíais leerlo como primer contacto pues supone un spoiler claro de la historia, pero sí una vez vista la primera película.
Me ha gustado su lectura y me ha incitado a leer la trilogía, sé que este año pueden caer Los juegos del hambre. Ah y seguro que en algún momento volveré a ojear estas páginas deleitándome con las fotos.

Es básicamente un libro para fans, nos cuentan un pequeño resumen de lo que ocurre en la primera película y algún que otro dato curioso sobre la historia contado por la autora, todo esto acompañado de imágenes de la adaptación.
Obviamente me gustó porque fue como si estuviera viendo la película pero esperaba más datos curiosos de los qué hay la verdad :(

I absolutely adore the Hunger Games movies and I found this book and thought, why not? It was SO good! I love all the stills from the movie and I got a lot more info about some things in the movie. Definitely recommend if your a fan!!

Este es un libro totalmente innecesario si no eres ultra fan de la trilogía.
Es la misma historia que llevaron a la pantalla grande, no aporta nada nuevo.
Si ya vieron la película (o leyeron el libro) y no son grandes fanáticos de la historia es un libro que puede quedar en el olvido.
