Orion - lead singer of the rock band THE SLIT - comes home from tour to find a baby in a carseat on his porch.
From there, he does what any rock star would do - he hires a nanny.
(Then he hires a few more because lead guitarist Nikko keeps sleeping with the nannies and chasing them away!)
Then enters Alison.
Perfect for Orion's son.
And maybe even perfect for Orion himself.
But, wait - a nanny taming the wild side of a rock star? Is that even possible?
Find out in the over-the-top steamy rock star romance... be careful though - there's a twist that just might make you rethink reading a book ever again!
From the outlaw mind of Jaxson Kidman... this is THE SLIT ROCK STAR ROMANCE series!
When The Slit finish their tour, Orion, the lead singer goes home to find a baby on his porch. Orion is in no way ready to be a father and look after a child. His rock star lifestyle isn’t suited to it. With the help of his manager, Shelly, Orion hires a nanny but when his band mate keeps sleeping with them he is desperate for someone who will look after his child and not act star struck. Alison is a career nanny and when she’s offered the job she has no idea what she’s letting herself in for. Even though she’s a fan of the band, Alison is professional and falls a little in love with Briar. Her own ambitions of being a singer take a back seat. The more Alison and Orion are together, the more they fall into feelings. Is this the real deal or just a way for Orion to pass the time whilst not on tour? Or have they found their soul mate and it’s the start of something big? What will happen when Briar’s birth mother turns up? Will she take him away or does she have other motives? This was an addictive read that has a sassy heroin and an alpha hero. String characters and a touch of cute with a baby thrown in! Can’t wait for the next book.
Coming off a world tour Orion, lead singer for The Slit, finds a baby on his doorstep. After confirmation that the baby is truly his, this rock star begins to look for a nanny. After going through a few nannies, thanks to one of his band mates, Orion is desperate for help. Alison recently lost her job. She worked for an extremely wealthy family who paid her well. Being a nanny was not her dream job though, but now she just needed a job and was pretty much willing to work anywhere. With the help of her best friend Tina, she finds herself working for an extremely, high profile rock star. Orion. And it's not long before this hard partying rock star becomes completely obsessed with the woman with whom he trusts the life of his son, and he's finding harder and harder to keep their relationship professional.
I ABSOLUTELY LOVED THIS BOOK, BAND, BOOK!!! I loved the push and pull between Alison and Orion and when he needed his band mates, they were there for him 100% With off the charts chemistry, these characters were fun, made me smile and left me wanting more! I highly recommend this fantastic read!!!
The 2 stars in this review are for Baby Briar and ironically Niko. The "biggest band in the world" doesn't know the concept of security???. This book had a good premise, which is why I picked it up to begin with. Two of my preferred genres in one book, what can go wrong? The answer is a lot. Why the Author felt it necessary to remind us over and over again, either through Orion's or Alison's POV, that Orian is a " rock star" was borderline ridiculous. We KNOW. There's very little character development, except previously mentioned biggest band in the world, you know, the one without security, living the sex and drugs life to the extreme. But it was the actions of both Orian and Alison at times that really made me want to slap them regarding the baby. We have a villain that every one in the band hated without much backstory and don't get me started on the baby momma. Niko got a star because I felt at least he was the most honest of the bunch and never wavered on who he was.
Orion was the lead singer for The Slit. He came home from tour and found baby sitting in a car seat on his porch. Orion got paternity test and verify was his son, didn't know who his mother was. Orion went through multiple nannies as Niko keep sleeping with them. He was on his way to his manager Shelly office. Shelly calls Tina to his office and she brings Alison with her, he realized that the girl from the elevator. Orion hired Alison to be the nanny. One night band is at the house having a party girls and drugs. Alison kicked everyone out and ended up smacking Orion. Orion and Alison are getting close. Baby drama comes in form baby mom shows up. Dana said she left the baby because she went to rehab. Slime heard Alison sing with Orion, he tries to get her to sign with him. She tells him get lost. She takes a drink from him and ends up in the hospital. Orion and Alison are in love, they are trying to be a family.
What happens on tour stays on tour... or does it?! No matter how many rock star stories I have read, Jaxson Kidman still has the ability to shock me!
When I started the book, I thought, "How in the world can I possibly like these rock stars? They don't care about anything but music, booze, and women." I should have known better. Orion definitely redeems himself, and let's be honest, the fast rock star life is a lot, even for them. It took a while, but he finally got his act together and stood up for what was important.
A good nanny is worth her weight in gold. I was so proud of Alison and her ethics, even with all of the opportunities that presented themselves. But that is why she was such a great catch, as a nanny and more.
This book was extremely hot and full of suspense. I am dying to read Niko's story next! The members of The Slit definitely know how to get themselves into trouble, living their rock star lives.
I couldn’t finish the book. I really thought Alison had more sense than that. She had some self-esteem. I thought she had a backbone and not be seduced by some asshole rockstar who even with a baby sit around drank whiskey, and took drugs all day. The rest of his band at the same exact stuff. As soon as he started ordering her around and she took it, it was a lost course. To have her watch him with another women and take orders from him from a text with what she should do to turn him on was sick. The poor baby was better off being put up for adoption and have these two fools looking after him.
I’ve read tons of Rockstar books but, none were as vile as this one. Just so disgusting how easily she became a groupie.
Omg this was awesome with a capital A. Orion is a bada$$ lead singer to The Slit. Sex , drugs , booze etc. He comes home from a long tour and finds a baby on his doorstep. Whatttt!!! Now what in the world is he going to do. Alison is a nanny and aspiring singer. She gets fired and her best friend finds her a nanny job and oh get this , it’s for you guessed it Orion…. So now she’s his nanny and meets all of the raunchy members and has to deal with them lol. Oh and try and keep things platonic with her boss. This was such an amazing story. I can’t wait for Niko’s book. That I know will be freaking epic lol.
Sometimes I forget how raunchy Kidman’s rockstar books can be. This looks to be a “lively” new rock star series. Jaysus. Orion is maybe not the raunchiest of his band, but he’s right up there. Alison is a nanny. A real nanny, but also a singer She falls in love with Orion’s baby, Briar, from the beginning. What starts as reluctant lust on her part, and absolute lust on his, grows and grows into real love. Jaxson Kidman style. I can’t wait for Niko’s book. The worst of the rockstars always fall the hardest.
Jason Kidman has outdone his previous books! Orion's life is stellar and he's the perfect rock star. A lifestyle he loves. When his life changes, he looses his muse. Now what? He's only looking to get the music and songs ready for the road. He never anticipates how Briar and Alison impact the music. Lots of sexy heat along with a great storyline! Well done!
What an absolute ride this was. So happy Jaxson is back, and what a book he’s back with. This is hands down up there as one of my favourite Jaxson Kidman books. If I could give it more, I would, but 5 stars is the limit. Loved, loved, loved it. BTW, Alison is one of my favourite fmc’s of any book I’ve read, by any author. Thank you Jaxson for an awesome read. Looking forward to the next one ❤️
From the beginning to the end of After the Tour, I was hooked. The Slit is a rock band of crazies that you can't help but love. Orion is their sexy front man who definitely grows on you. His and Alison's relationship grows into love despite the challenges life throws their way. I really enjoyed reading this book and the author's writing style. And now onto book two of the series.💜
Unfortunately for me, the members of this band were disgraceful examples of the male species. Their attitude towards woman was repulsive and their commitment to the drugs, sex & rock n roll lifestyle was a complete turn off. There is zero chance of Orion being monogamous and I can't imagine any self respecting girl falling in love with someone who behaves this way right in front of her face and his sons. This was a total male fantasy read for me.
What can I say but Jaxson Kidman is back and with a vengeance. This was a super great read. The Slit rock stars will have you falling in love with each one of them. This was more of Orion’s story and his nanny for his son Briar. You get the laughs, a whole lot of sex scenes and of course love. Looking forward to reading the next book
Just when you think this author has done the rock star thing, he manages to do it all over again, and what a job he did!!! The story of Orion and Alison has the perfect rocking edge, not too sweet but the feelings are true...can't wait to see what more happens with them as this series continues...Loved it!!
This book was absolutely amazing. So glad Jaxson Kidman is back. Every single time he hits it out of the park with his incredible writing. Looking forward to seeing what he brings next. This is definitely a must read.
This book was sexy and raunchy and pulled me in so quickly. I couldn’t put it down. Orion the lead singer of a rock band finds out he has a kid and hires Alison as the nanny. They fall for each other and it is a crazy ride!
This is a hard-hitting rock tale that does not pull any punches. It is overtly Gritty and not the taste for all. I found it interesting reading with some surprising side stories brewing.
Great book. Fun,fabulous, and steamy. If you love the rock and roll world, this is the book for you.Wonderful characters and a plot to match.Fast and furious.Love second rock and roll. Great read ...Enjoy...can not wait to see what is next.😍😍😍😍😍😍
I need more of these rockers!! I usually don’t care for pregnancy/baby tropes in my romance, but Jaxson Kidman definitely knows how to change my mind. I love love love his love stories and his writing style. Plenty of spice, fun plot, great character interaction.
