This short story broke my heart three different times, and I wouldn't have it any other way. Within the Walls packed a punch to say the least! I really appreciated how the story got rich insight into Gwydion's development as a character while still alluding to the broader context of Wintenaeth. It was an intimate story within a vast world. I'm excited to learn more about Gwydion in future stories!

I know I'm biased as the editor, but even as a reader, I loved getting to see Gwydion's backstory. It deepened the character in a surprising way and resulted in the events of THE CITY OF STONE & SORROW having so much more meaning.
