Teenage psychic McKenzie Gold hits it off immediately with new girl Sharon Roderick: she's pretty, clever and great fun to be with.
Then Sharon confides to Mack that the guy she was madly in love with was horrifically killed in a hit and run accident. Sharon has become obsessed with getting revenge and it seems she'll stop at nothing to force Mack to help her track down the killer, including lies, threats, and most terrifying of all, kidnap.
Suddenly, Mack's life is in serious danger - because Sharon is determined to satisfy her deadly obsession!
The Obsession is about a new girl, Sharon, who moves to town and Mack and Lilicat make friends with her. Sharon's boyfriend died in a hit-and-run accident and the driver was never caught so when she finds out about Mack's psychic powers she wants her to try and find out who the killer was. When Mack can't produce immediate results Sharon becomes overbearing.
I thought the friendship was done really well. In the beginning as the three girls get to know each other and then when Sharon's neediness comes out and Mack tries to withdraw, it all felt very realistic and believable. The story develops into some real danger which made for a page-turning read. I enjoyed this one and I'm sad that it's the last book in The Power series!
Greatest instalment in the power series. Personally the only book that actually scared me a Little. Kind of don’t think Sharon got her happy ending. Her mum definitely should have been sent to prison for child mistreatment 🤦♀️
