I didn't really realise when I first read this years ago but the story is basically about an extremely controlling boyfriend. Still enjoyed the re-read.

What I Did Like:
-It’s original enough to be interesting. Yes we’re dealing with a paranormal love triangle (hello, that’s been done before). But the panther thing is a new angle and that’s pretty cool.
-Holly. If we’re going to have a terrible toxic male love interest at least we pair it with a strong female who recognizes the red flags when she sees them. That gives me hope for where the third book might go.
-Piques curiosity about the third book. Again, they’re really a continuous story told in three volumes, but it’s nice that you have enough curiosity to carry you into that final installment.

Who Should Read This One:
-It’s hard to recommend this one because the books are VERY HARD to come by, being that they’re out of print. However, if you like paranormal fantasy stories and want something a little different, it’s worth the read if you get your hands on it.

My Rating: 3 Stars.
They’re a solid paranormal fantasy story but it is out of print and hard to find.

Alex loves Holly, a deep dark possessive love. When Holly first met him their attraction was so hot that it burned!

I forgot how much I wished that I could have shifting powers when I was younger....that never really went away!

These books are so much fun, so full of dark emotions and feelings that I am able to recognize as toxic.

I love that Holly never fully submits. She is always fighting back .

After reading the first book I went and found this one sitting on a shelf in a supermarket.

This book changes some of the relationships from the first book, showing some key characters as what they really are, and presents the struggle the main character has controlling her instincts.

I didn't like this second installment much more than the first, but I did like the rather odd and interesting dynamic between Holly and Alex. Jason was a bore, of course, though the ending was somewhat intriguing. I'm in no hurry to read the third book.

SOOOOOO........ I did not think Alex was a super deranged wierdo, but to my disapointment he is! Anyways good for Holly for making the honorable choice! I cant wait to find out what happens in the last book! I have a feeling it is going to be to die for.......

I loved these books so much in my early teens! I doubt they'd interest me at all now but I would definitely highly recommend them to 11-12 year olds!
