It was really good. Well woven. Fast paced. Trying to figure out who to trust.

I was a bit confused in the beginning by the POVs and not knowing who was who and how the stories related to one another. But once I was able to sit down and read it, I finished the last 3/4th in a day.

Really enjoyed it!

“Every muscle in my body stiffened, and my mouth went spitless. Chambering a round was a distinct sound, unmistakable.”

Are you hooked? I was. These are the first two lines of this riveting, suspenseful novel called Injustice for All. It’s the first book in the Justice Seekers series. Wow, what an amazing start. I’m thankful for the review copy that has introduced me to characters I instantly cared about and story that kept me up late reading.

My heart went out to the main character Remington Wyatt as she walked in on her godfather, Daniel’s tragic situation. The men don’t see her but she can hear every word they say as they plan his termination. She recognizes their voices. She can’t believe this is happening – everything she’s believed in crumbles right before her eyes!! These men were supposed to be good guys. She’s got to run so she can stay alive long enough to seek justice for Daniel’s murder.

Where do you hide when the system is corrupt and you don’t know who the good guys are? Who do you trust? No one but yourself, of course and that’s what Remington does.

At the same time Rafe Baxter confused about his relationship with God and where he’s headed in life. Rafe accepted Christ as his Savior but struggles to believe he is truly forgiven for his past. He accepted God’s unconditional love but is hung-up on being forgiven for past sin. He takes a new job so his partner can stay in the area to help with his daughters medical care. Rafe hopes that maybe this sacrifice would pay for his sins?

I enjoyed Hayden, a man who’s trying to do the right thing, praying and staying grounded when his world is rocked apart. He try’s to help his sister who’s bi-polar, and a mom who is a worry-wart. He’s so thankful God has brought him a friend to help, Bella, she’s someone he can talk to and trust. I loved the banter between characters. They have fun with one another in a good way. This author has well timed humor mixed in with the suspense! Great blend.

Bella and Rafe talk about what their hobbies are, Rafe says to Bella, “I like walks and hikes…reading? Not so much!”

Bella’s response, “How can you not love reading? It’s wonderful. An excursion, an adventure…an escape from reality.”

Bella adored reading and has a hard time grasping anyone not loving it. I could just hear Robin Caroll saying this to someone too! Bella is a passionate person with spunk I enjoyed reading about. Rafe is an FBI Agent trying to prove himself in a new office, so he picks a dead case to work on. Maybe he’d be the one to find the killer and make new friends.

This was one gripping novel from the start, and one I couldn’t put down. I loved Robin’s well timed humor mixed in with a believable spiritual thread. All this in the first book of the Justice Seekers series, I can’t wait to read the rest!!

In Injustice For All readers join Remington on her harrowing flight as she runs for her life, hiding from the very people she once trusted. By stripping Remington of everything and everyone — even her identity — Robin Caroll creates a nerve-wracking scenario that keeps readers flipping pages and wondering what if that was me? Through the main character, the author shows that even in the worst situations God will never forsake us.

Fun and loveable characters fill the novel. I especially enjoyed Hayden Simpson, Bella’s best friend. His plight and struggle to cope with the lies he’d been fed (some for years) drew me in. I’m anxious to read the second installment in the Justice Seekers series because it focuses more on him. Thankfully, it’s already out so I don’t have to wait long! I also liked his mother, Ardy, the kind woman who always has one mouth-watering meal or another brewing in the kitchen. While at times she annoyed me with constant attempts at making excuses for her daughter’s mess-ups (some of them pretty bad!), she does it from a place of so much love, it’s impossible to stay mad. In the story, Ardy is like the spice that adds a little kick to an already tasty recipe.

Last, but not least, there are Rafe and Bella, the main characters who overcome many obstacles to ensure that justice is served. I rooted for them throughout the entire novel. However, I wish the author had developed their romance more. They jumped from meeting once or twice (and barely talking at those encounters) to having strong feelings for each other. I wanted to see them get know each other or discover the traits that would eventually lead them to fall in love. Still, I recommend Injustice For All to romantic suspense fans.

Remington Wyatt worked for the FBI. She witnessed the killing of her godfather Judge Daniel Tate. Knowing who the killers are Remington decides quickly that she must make herself disappear. She doesn't know who she can trust in the FBI because she doesn't know how high up the corruption has gone. It is easy to make herself disappear.

Agent Rafe Baxter has been transferred to Arkansas. He is given the cold shoulder along with cold cases. One cold case happens to be Judge Daniel Tate's. Determined to pull his weight in his new job Rafe tracks down a clue that leads him to the small town of Hopewell, Louisiana.

Remington has made a new life for herself. But after 3 years of hiding her old life seems to be catching up with her. Her godfather's killers are determined that this time she will not get away! Remington is also fighting a Spiritual battle. She has been angry at God for years. She blames Him for her parents' death and for her godfather's death. She is determined to have nothing to do with God. Her best friend Hayden Simpson has been praying that she will return to the Lord.

Packed with excitement, suspense and romance Injustice For All will keep you on the edge of your seat until the final page is turned...it did me! Injustice For All is the first book in the new Justice Seekers series. The next book will be Rafe's sister Riley's story. I hope to read more about Remington and Rafe in that one too! I'm also hoping that Hayden Simpson will show up in a future novel too, with a love interest of his own of course.

Injustice for All is the first book in the Justice Seekers series and an incredible beginning. I loved the characters and the book had my attention from the opening scene (it was intense!). I didn't know who to trust in the story or which people were "bad" guys...and I loved that!

The next book looks like it will also be really good as it is about characters that were in this story and I never thought of them having a relationship, but it seems like that might be the case. Definitely intrigued!

All in all, Injustice for All was intense and very suspenseful. I recommend it!

Gripping story. Incredible building of tension as it developed. The dovetailing of details at the end was fabulous.
I would've appreciated a note on both timelines, though. Maybe that was omitted in an effort to further the plot? I'd understand if that was the case, and it wasn't too hard to keep track of, just a trifle disorienting as the POV and timeline shifted.

My biggest complaint, though, was that the last few...well, not chapters exactly, but sections of thought seemed out of order. A does X, then a few sections later they apparently experience X for the first time, with something I thought they didn't have anymore. I'd probably have given it 5 stars except for this wobble at the end.

This is the first book I've read by this author. The endorsements at the front of the book were glowing, to say the least. The premise was good and clever. The opening scene was amazing, but then it was a bit of a stumble around with scenes from past and present all jumbled together at the beginning. Once the past and the present finally came together, the plot and story flowed well and kept me reading to the end. I did find some of the characters too similar in their struggles with faith issues, and the supposedly bad characters rather sanitized which made them somewhat unrealistic for me. Basically, I found the story original and engaging but found the writing a bit awkward at times.

If you like Christian suspense, focused on law enforcement and with just a dash of realistic romance, this is a pretty good read. The story has good momentum, and the characters are well developed and memorable. I don't mind the dash of romance either, since it's incidental to the main plot points. It's Christian, but not in-your-face preaching or a convenient (but unrealistic) conversion in every book... more like dealing with forgiveness and ethics and everyday life stuff. The flash-backs/flash-forward sections were a little confusing, since there was no way to know things weren't happening concurrently. But it wasn't enough to make me put down the book, and I'm glad I kept reading. It was explained a little by the end, anyway.

Enjoyed this enough to pick up the next book in the series, and I'm liking that one even more. Looking forward to exploring some of the author's other stores eventually!

Injustice!

I read this series backwards. Starting with the third book in the series. Reading book one last filled in a lot of the dots. I would highly recommend you start with book one and read in order. With that said, I loved the entire series. Someone called the series "Unputdownable" that is an accurate description. This is a Christian book but even if you don't like faith based books, you will enjoy this series. It is in no way preachy!

One of the strongest stories I have read on a while.

This was a non-stop story. All the different ways it turned. Made it a wonderful read, but the way part was seeing God's hand in how things we don't understand come together.

Robin Caroll in her new book, “Injustice for All”, Book One in the Justice Seekers series published by B&H Publishing Group gives us a contemporary thriller.

From the back cover: A federal judge lies bleeding on his office floor, betrayed by a most unlikely source—people who helped him bring criminals to justice. Now, why would someone working for the FBI need to disappear after witnessing this crime?

When Remington Wyatt sees her godfather’s murder, she recognizes the killers and knows it’s only a matter of time before they come to silence her. She must do the only thing possible to stay alive . . . run.
FBI agent Rafe Baxter is serious about his career, and solving a cold case involving a federal judge’s death puts him in line for the promotion he so desires. But the case leads him to the small town of Hopewell, Louisiana, where some secrets seem inextricably hidden deep within the bayou.Injustice for All explores what happens when everything a person believes in is utterly destroyed. Who can you trust?

What would you do if you saw a murder committed and you knew who the murderer was? I probably would run for my life also even though that is not really the best response as the problem has not gone away. God keeps close watch on us and when we make our mistakes He knows how to fix them. In this case He sends Rafe Baxter to fix Remington Wyatt’s mistake and actually apprehend the criminal responsible. Sounds easy but the thrill ride that this story turns out to be is anything but easy as the two have to join forces to bring this case to a satisfying conclusion. “Injustice for All” is a great read, filled with drama, romance and nerve-twisting suspense. This book will certainly keep you guessing. I recommend this book highly. I am greatly looking forward to book two in the series.

Federal judge, Daniel Tate, lies dying in his home office, betrayed by those who help him bring criminals to justice. The killers think the judge is home alone…

Remington Wyatt, the goddaughter of Daniel Tate, was home and recognized the killers. She sets off the alarm for security before she reaches Daniel. Prior to the arrival of the police, she promises to take the contents of his safe as he breathes out his last dying wish. Out of fear for her life, she takes the contents and does the only thing that she knows to do … run! She vows, however, to find justice for his death, as this is personal.

FBI agent, Rafe Baxter, is transferred to a different Federal office due to cutbacks in staff. There, he’s assigned to work cold cases. The Daniel Tate murder is the first one assigned. What he finds in the case baffles him, and leads him to the town of Hopewell, Louisiana. He’s also baffled by the whims of women, not knowing how to handle them.

Robin Caroll, in Injustice for All, brings on the suspense from the very first page, leaving you terrified for Remington, wondering if the killers see her. I found myself almost holding my breath for her as she attempts to remain hidden. The loving touch of Remington as she holds Daniel before he expires is heart-wrenching, yet tender. I could feel the urgency in his voice as he pleads with her to take the safe contents.

Robin’s plot twists keep you glued to the book, as they spin into directions you don’t expect. The first scene is just a teaser to envelop you into the characters and scenarios. Her characters are complex, manipulative, interesting, and sometimes even delightful. The terror and danger of the circumstances keep you wondering how Robin will pull it all together. But pull it together, she did! The suspense is heart-stopping at times, causing your to stop and catch your breath! The romance almost has you laughing at times, as Rafe does not know how to conduct himself.

Robin has several themes that reverberate throughout the book: love, fear, trust, forgiveness, faith in God, and surrender. There are lessons for all to learn from.

For a great murder/suspense book, be sure to pick up Robin’s current book, Injustice For All. Check out her website listed below for a list of her other suspense-pounding books.

I have come to the 30% mark in my Kindle version of this book uncertain as to whether to continue reading.

I think the first 30% was a little bit awkwardly put together. I think the flashback (or flash forward as the case may be) device helped not at all. This was particularly enhanced (worsened) by the incompleteness of it--one flashback scenerio going on three years later than the other (but not identified as a flashback) and not accounting for or indicating that suddenly the old flashback would end with several years unaccounted for. It would have been much better to have just told "Bella's" story straight with dates above the appropriate chapters and then dates as the story segued to the "current" setting.

Next, I absolutely do not believe Ardy would have told Bella something she had hidden so deeply for 40 years or however long. I. DO. NOT. BELIEVE. I recognize that coincidences happen all the time in these romance suspense books but because I've been given no rationale for Bella ending up where she did, I. DO. NOT. BELIEVE. that she would through happenstance end up with someone tied so directly with the judge. I needed more up front to validate that. I question the credibility of the platonic nature of the relationship between Hayden and Bella. Well, you can see this story is going to H**L in a handbasket as far as I am concerned. I have hit a point where I have "put on my SKEPTICALS" and cannot take them off. I am at 33% but it was like a bomb went off in the story between 30 and 33% and I just want to be done with this story.

OK! So I have now finished the story just because I had purchased the book. I scan-read a lot and finished--I never took off my skepticals---and finishing means an automatic two-star rating.

Remington has just survived a nightmare. She was in the house, unknown, when assassins broke in and killed her godfather, a powerful federal judge. Even worse, she can identify the killers and they are men she thought she could trust. Now she realises that her only hope of survival is to run. Luckily, her work as a forensic psychologist has prepared her to do this efficiently.

Three years later, Bella, as she is now known, has found some peace. She has run hundreds of miles and reinvented herself. She is living in a small rural town where she has found friends and contentment. That is about to change.

Rafe is an FBI agent, newly transferred to another office. As the new guy, he is given the task of trying to find some way forward on cold cases. He hits on the judge's murder and as he reads through the case file, finds a clue that brings him to the little town where Bella now lives. Even worse, his clue involves her best friend, the sheriff. His interest in the case gets back to the killers who now know exactly where to go to finish the job of killing off the only witness to their crime. Can Bella find a way to survive this new threat?

Robin Carroll has written an interesting mystery. The pace is fast enough to keep the reader's interest, without being so breakneck that it is tiring to read. The characters are portrayed realistically enough that a connection is made to them. The resolution is satisfying while not feeling overly packaged. Carroll has written eleven previous books and writes in the Christian fiction genre. While this book is recommended for readers of that genre, any mystery reader will enjoy this one.

Injustice for All: A Justice Seeker's Novel is Robin Caroll's newest Christian fiction book. When a young woman witnesses her godfather's murder, she goes on the run and begins a new life. FBI agent, Rafe Baxter is also making difficult changes in his life when his career takes an unexpected turn, and he is assigned a cold case to solve.

The character of Rafe is outstanding. He is likeable, sincere, and a man of faith. Remington's character was a little too frenetic at the beginning, but a contrast developed later and balanced it out. The story wasn't realistic, but most good action/adventure/ mysteries aren't! Rafe's story is so good that I hope to see his character in a sequel.

My only real criticism of the story is that the term "Oh my stars" was used so many times in the first part of the book, that it almost made me quit reading. I am glad I didn't because the book turned out to be an enjoyable read.

As for the matters of faith in the book, Rafe was the example of a thoughtful Christian man. I enjoyed the story as he thought his actions through, and was always trying to do the right thing. Secret and lies also have a role in this story, and the characters involved have to learn the lesson of forgiveness.

Another great Christian fiction story set in Louisiana by Robin Caroll.

From the opening sentence of the prologue, when Remington Wyatt hears the cha-chk of the gun held by the person about to murder her godfather, until I turned the final page, I was drawn into this story. Robin Caroll has crafted a novel rife with tension that rises off the page like heat from the bayou on a summer afternoon. She parallels the experiences of Remington Wyatt and Rafe Baxter until Remington completely disappears, taking on an unknown identity in an attempt to escape the same fate as her godfather. The layers of the plot grow deeper and more intricate as the book progresses, and the danger escalates as Rafe probes into the unsolved case and as long-hidden secrets begin to surface. In the midst of turmoil and suspense, a steady thread of faith weaves throughout the story as both Rafe and others wrestle with their past and their relationships with God. Injustice for All is a keeper, and I eagerly await the next book in this series, To Write a Wrong, due out in September.

Injustice for All takes us on the run with Remington after she recognizes her surrogate father's killers - government agents silencing the federal judge. Remington herself works as a psychologist with the FBI and is all too aware of the legal reach this organization has. With her father's dying words the judge directs her to a safe that leads Remington to a small town in Louisiana. Here, Remington lives under the pseudonym Bella Miller and works as a photographer. Enter FBI agent Rafe Baxter, newly transferred to the Louisiana office and anxious to cut his teeth on the cold case of the federal judge.

The fast-moving action keeps the reader engrossed in the fiasco of Remington/Bella's escape - living on the run....and Agent Rafe's struggles to overcome office politics, stigmas and the shame that has kept him under....and for comic relief we have Hayden, town sheriff and Bella's best friend.

The characters are believable in their respective beliefs about God - Remington/Bella running away from a life that let her down and a God whom she believes has forgotten her; Agent Rafe hiding because of shame for an unforgivable sin he feels he committed and the town sheriff, Hayden, has issues with being on a spiritual high horse. There is something for most everyone in each of the relate-able characters from Injustice for All.
