Lovely absolutely lovely read
It's also funny with the playful colorful Braeton and the somewhat stiffy but so honest Drew/Andrew.
When they met there was an instant 'love' well....they both had the feeling.....could this be
'the one'?
Braeton was a fresh wind in Drew his life. He had to help Drew with a new look for his job.
And there start their story....Drew was very open and protective toward Braeton and Braeton was the happy sparkle for Drew.
In their life one felt always 'to much' and the other 'not enough' They accepted each other and both understand that the outside world should just accept them how they are..
There were a few struggles with the outside world but not very heavy.
During reading I noticed I was silly laughing, it was so endearing. They were both so sweet.
So self conscious and sometimes my heart cried a little for some passages.
It had no angst just lovely chapters. A feel good story.
The story has a nice flow and just simple lovely.

Troppo eccentrico, troppo diva e colorato, troppo espansivo e troppo gay ma anche troppo normale e noioso, non abbastanza gay, non abbastanza omologato allo stereotipo omosessuale. Questi sono i giudizi a cui Braeton e Andrew hanno dovuto sottostare per la loro intera vita, giudizi e pregiudizi a cui non hanno voluto piegarsi ma che li hanno segnati rendendoli diffidenti e quasi rassegnati nel trovare qualcuno che li accetti davvero. Braeton e Drew sono agli opposti: il primo espansivo e colorato, orgoglioso di essere e ostentare alla faccia del suo passato dove non poteva risplendere; il secondo così normale e noioso, troppo poco gay, troppo pacato con gusti da etero, eppure tra i due scocca una scintilla che li attrae l'uno verso l'altro e si abbandonano alla conoscenza reciproca. Nonostante la voglia di trovare qualcuno con cui costruire qualcosa di profondo, la consapevolezza delle loro diversità potrebbe essere un ostacolo, e se Braeton fosse troppo? E se Drew non fosse abbastanza? La storia si dipana tra appuntamenti catastrofici e una conoscenza intima tra i due che li porta ad affrontare la diversità dei loro caratteri e le loro peculiarità. Accettazione e compromessi sono alla base della loro conoscenza con una buona dose di attrazione che li porta a costruire qualcosa di solido ed unico, sono gli opposti che si attraggono e quando si uniscono creano qualcosa di perfetto. Come sempre lo stile fluido e discorsivo dell'autrice ci porta a conoscere profondamente i suoi ragazzi del momento, ci fa riflettere su temi importanti con la leggerezza e quel pizzico di romanticismo e di ironia che contraddistingue le sue storie. March 24, 2017This I okay. I picked it up as a freebie and soon realised I'd stepped into a series, though it can be read as a standalone it was clear there was a previous story.
Ostensibly based on real life people/events I can believe that of the 'unwise' decisions the character's make. I'm rarely a fan of dual pov though which is why this book could easily be a case of 'it's me not you' Braeton acts ill-advisedly, causing hurt to Andrew but the pov felt a blasé to me, especially coupled with a pov change that then showed the hurt and him not appearing to understand it. There's a lot of stress put on stereotypes and meeting expectations.
Then there's descriptions of a building where every level is a decade - must be hard to live in if you can't personalise! But I was more interested in the scant details of decor given than the between floors make-outs which told me I wasn't caring about the couple. And I noticed I was barely reaching halfway. If characters can be hurt and forgive that easily I figure they can handle a few more missteps on the path to tw luv.
No real issues, but not feeling the urge to read on.

I really really enjoyed this book.
Both guys were just waiting to find the perfect person for them that would "get"them for who they are and try not to change them.
Andrew meets Braeton when Andrew is asked to let's say update his look. They hit it off from the second the met
There were some bumbled dates but they did not let that affect them getting to know each other and falling in love.
We get to spend time with some past characters and meet some new friend
Although they are opposites, they are definitely meant to be together. They just fit and compliment each other. I love the fact that the author put real locations in the book because I love looking up the places and checking out menus.
Must read. I loved it.

This is the third book I've read in this series and it's my favorite. It's a lot lighter and happier than Jase & Bryan's books. It was pretty cute and sweet with a few laugh out loud moments.
In this book Braeton, Bryan's kind of ex, who is now a good friend finally gets his HEA with An(Drew), an ad exec. When Drews boss suggests a makeover would help him advance his career, he goes to Posh, the salon B works at and they instantly hit it off. A haircut turns into a quick dinner and a shopping date to complete his makeover.
They continue to date and go on some disastrous ones, and despite being opposites, they fit and calm each other.
It's not super fluffy, but aside from some minor issues with Drews boss, it's not full of angst, either.

Andrew, o se preferiamo Drew, è un ragazzo gay apertamente dichiarato, con un buon lavoro e “strane” abitudini. Ma chi ha deciso cosa è strano? Ancora di più, cosa è strano per un uomo gay? Drew ha sofferto molto perché, nel corso della vita, spesso è stato schernito proprio perché non si avvicina all’aspetto dell’uomo gay che qualcuno si aspetta di incontrare. Lui ama la birra, i bar in cui mostrano lo sport, veste un abbigliamento monotono e ha un aspetto totalmente “normale”.
Braeton è tutto l’opposto. È fuggito dalla piccola cittadina in cui viveva con i genitori per poter essere davvero se stesso, ha seguito i suoi sogni ed è diventato un dipendente di uno dei migliori saloni di bellezza in città. Braeton è come l’arcobaleno, un turbine di vivacità e colori, un personaggio un po’ eccentrico, molto solare, amante della vita e fiero del suo modo di essere “diverso”. Questo atteggiamento spesso lo ha messo in difficoltà, proprio perché i suoi vecchi amanti non erano disposti a sopportare il suo modo di essere così “troppo gay”.
I due s’incontrano per caso, per questioni lavorative, e l’attrazione è immediata. Nonostante le differenze, Drew e Braeton si sentono sempre più vicini, sempre più desiderosi di conoscersi.
Nel corso della storia ci sono numerosi alti e bassi che li fanno vacillare, i protagonisti devono trovare un equilibrio per far combaciare alla perfezione le loro personalità così diverse e far esplodere quella bomba di passione che lentamente si crea a ogni appuntamento.
La crescita di entrambi è molto bella; con delicatezza e amore riescono a incastrarsi alla perfezione, imponendo a se stessi e al partner cambiamenti senza nemmeno rendersene conto, senza fare pressioni, semplicemente essendo diversi e perfetti.
La scrittura è scorrevole, la storia è una lettura veloce e non particolarmente impegnativa. È tutto molto zuccheroso, non ci sono particolari colpi di scena. Le problematiche sono solo di carattere psicologico, e sono proprio i due protagonisti a doverle affrontare all’interno di sé.
I personaggi sono ben caratterizzati e rappresentano perfettamente gli stereotipi comunemente diffusi in società. Ho apprezzato molto anche la comparsa di due vecchi amici, due personaggi protagonisti di libri precedenti. È stato bello ritrovarli e scoprire qualcosa di nuovo sulla loro storia.
Nel complesso è una buona lettura, tanto tanto dolce e ricca di sentimenti.

This book is based on real events. That being said I didn’t know what I expected from a MM story that is based on real events. I went all in and let myself be surprised about the outcome. And boy, how I was surprised.
I have read quite a few MM books so far and most of the time at least one part of the couple is this uber alpha personality. That’s not a bad thing, I love myself an alpha like most women who read romance out there, but this book was different.
The characters were more real. They seemed more like the gay couple you could actually meet out on the streets. One a little bit over the top, one more toned down, but both sure of themselves and obviously content with the way they live. The characters together were so sweet which is not a word I normally use to describe a MM couple, but this time it is fitting. They opened up to each other really fast and throughout the book grew with each other to make the perfect match.
There was one scene where I really had to put down my kindle, because it made me so angry. I really really hope, that this was born out of the writers mind, but I suspect it wasn’t. I couldn’t understand these people not even a little bit, but I loved how Andrew showed greatness and moved on from this experience.
The plot itself was nothing fancy or really exciting, but it comforted me on a level I didn’t know I needed. A good book doesn’t always have to leave you angsty or chewing on your nails. It can be like your favorite cup of tea: Comforting and relaxing and this was what made this book special to me. I fell in love with Braeton and Drew who were the perfect couple. Made for each other so to say. It was my first book of this author and this series and could be totally read as a standalone, but I need to know Bryan and Jake’s story, so I can totally understand what happened previous to this one.
Four stars for a wonderful, comforting read.

I absolutely ADORED this book! I fell in love with Braeton from the first chapters and he stayed in my heart until the end when I had to let him go!
A.D. Ellis is a terrific writer and this story was so well written, it was like watching a movie! I am not going to recap the beautiful love story of Braeton and Drew, but here are some quotes from the book.

My Recommendation: Not worth it. None of these have been. I've probably been overly generous with two stars. The stories could be great with a better author/editor, but the writing is hokey, the characters one dimensional and the stereotypes overwhelming.
My Response: Ugh, these reviews are going to get super short. I'm hate reading the rest of the series since I paid for them and there are some (but very few) parts that are enjoyable. I continue to wonder whether Ellis has ever met had a conversation with a gay man or if this is all just her imagination.
The biggest problem with this book is that Braeton, first introduced in Bryan & Jase , is nothing like his character in that book. I mean sure he dresses the same and is flamboyant, but he comes across as a total ass in the first part of this book. He never came across as an ass in that first one.

When Andrew's boss decides he needs a bit of freshening up, he sends him to Posh Salon, where Drew meets Braeton, a hairstylist. It's instant attraction for both men, but they are polar opposites. Will this hinder their relationship or will those differences help balance it out?
This was a quick and easy read. It's pretty instalove without much angst and some smoking hot sex. The characters are both extremely likable and they fit well together.
The story is well-written and I LOVED the Bryan and Jase cameos!! Very recommendable!!

I'm happy for the author that I'm in the minority in disliking this book. Not that much happened and part of what happened was unbelievable or predictable. I didn't like the insta-love, the stereotypes, the internal dialogues, nor the slightly preachy value of some parts.

Non me lo vedo a ballare in un locale gay, trascorrere l’intera giornata facendo shopping o sorseggiare dei mimosa con me e i miei amici, scambiando quattro chiacchiere.»
Mi osservò per un momento, come se pensasse che avrei detto altro o che mi sarei messo a ridere. Dopo i precedenti capitoli in cui abbiamo conosciuto personaggi dal passato doloroso e storie molto complicate, dove i protagonisti hanno dovuto lottare strenuamente per raggiungere il loro lieto fine, Braeton & Drew è sicuramente il libro più leggero e divertente della serie, ma non per questo meno bello.
Facciamo la conoscenza di Andrew Hines, pubblicitario di successo, che non ha mai badato troppo alla moda e al suo aspetto fisico, ed è per questo che il suo capo gli impone di avere un look più adeguato, prima di passargli importanti clienti. Pur con molte riserve, Andrew si vede quindi costretto a prendere appuntamento in un famoso salone di bellezza, cliente della loro agenzia, ed essere affidato al loro parrucchiere più ricercato, Braeton. Anche se sono agli antipodi, i due provano una simultanea simpatia l’uno per l’altro, ma entrambi si rendono perfettamente conto di essere davvero lontani come modo di fare e di comportamento. Eppure, l’attrazione è tale che non possono fare a meno di decidere di fare un tentativo di uscire insieme e vedere se fra loro la scintilla resisterà alle loro differenze. Questo porterà a una serie di appuntamenti che metterà in risalto i loro diversi modi di fare, mettendo alla prova la loro relazione.
Sono davvero due bei personaggi quelli che l’autrice mette in campo in questo nuovo libro. Due personalità diverse che si compensano a vicenda: se Braeton è amante dell’eccesso e tutto in lui è spumeggiante, Andrew ha sempre avuto problemi per il suo essere un gay davvero atipico e lontano dagli stereotipi del genere. Amante degli sport, estremamente riservato, totalmente all’oscuro delle mode, Andrew ha passato la vita sentendosi sempre fuori posto. Facendo i conti, da una parte, con l’incredulità degli etero che stentano a credere alle sue inclinazioni sessuali, dato il suo atteggiamento mascolino, e dall’altra con il suo essere troppo riservato e incolore per la maggioranza dei gay. Nonostante questo, è Andrew, o per meglio dire Drew, come si ostinerà a chiamarlo Braeton, il più sicuro di se stesso e di ciò che desidera. Lui vuole un futuro con l’istrionico parrucchiere, ma questo lo porterà ad affrontare due tremendi e anche pericolosi appuntamenti. La sua insicurezza e il suo desiderio di essere accettato nella sua interezza impongono a Braeton, infatti, di metterlo alla prova, dando il peggio di sé e aspettandosi di essere lasciato.
Questa storia racchiude il comprendersi, accettarsi, non pretendere di cambiare chi ami, perché le differenze possono unire invece di dividere: una persona estrosa può rendere la tua vita piena di sorprese, mentre una più seria e posata può mitigare un carattere troppo esuberante ed evitare di commettere pericolose sciocchezze. È una storia d’amore fra due persone diverse che insieme sono migliori, ma anche una storia di amicizia. Inoltre è stato bellissimo rivedere Bryan e Jase e scoprire che ora la loro vita è serena, superando ogni difficoltà. Pur se non mancano i momenti in cui i pregiudizi affiorano, e scopriremo che non sono solo da parte omofoba. È un libro sereno, ben scritto, che si legge con grande piacere, e regala delle scene passionali intense, in compagnia di due personaggi davvero simpatici, che riescono a farsi amare dal lettore. Una bella lettura che può essere stand-alone ma che risulta sicuramente più completa se avete letto il primo libro della serie Bryan & Jase.

Smeraldine siete pronte per un altro tuffo tra i personaggi della Ellis? Orbene, siamo arrivati al 4 libro della serie ma, niente paura, se non avete letto gli altri e vi incuriosisce questa trama, potrete farlo benissimo in quanto tutti i libri sono stand alone. Per chi, invece, ha letto anche gli altri ritroverà vecchi amici e potrà vedere come si sono evolute le loro vite.
Ma veniamo a noi: Braeton e Andrew sono diversi come il giorno e la notte, non li accomuna praticamente nulla. Breaton è una “prima donna” felice di esserlo, che sa cosa vuole e che per averlo non è assolutamente intenzionato a essere diverso:
“Volevo qualcuno da cui tornare a casa. Qualcuno che mi amasse per ciò che ero. Non qualcuno desideroso di cambiarmi, non qualcuno che mi volesse rendere la copia di quel che avrebbe dovuto essere”.
È proprio per questo motivo che è andato via dal suo paesino e dalla sua famiglia bigotta senza mai voltarsi indietro, lui ama ciò che è, e se agli altri non sta bene, non è un problema suo. Certo, questo suo modo di essere lo ha messo talvolta in difficoltà, ma lui è così, prendere o lasciare..
Andrew, al contrario, viene accusato di non essere troppo gay, di amare troppo quanto viene giudicato etero, di non fare nulla per cambiare le cose e di non essere mai abbastanza di questo o di quello. Questo suo modo di essere e, soprattutto, il modo in cui lo vedono e lo criticano gli altri, lo ha destabilizzato per buona parte della sua vita di studente e oltre tanto che ora, a trentacinque anni, dopo aver lavorato duramente per farsi accettare, non ha nessuna intenzione di cambiare il suo modo di vivere
Quindi, cosa potrebbe mai venire fuori da un loro incontro? Cosa potrebbero trovare in comune, per trascorrere del tempo insieme, anche senza grandi aspettative? La ragione ci risponderebbe che non c’è nulla che possa farlo, ma, per fortuna, esiste la chimica e fra Breaton e Drew è scoppiettante fin dal primo sguardo, quasi magica. I due si conoscono nel centro estetico in cui Breaton fa il parrucchiere e dove Andrew si è recato per volere del suo capo che vuole vederlo più alla moda. Tra una tinta, qualche meches e un giro di shopping, tra i due nasce qualcosa a cui, nonostante le differenze, nessuno dei due vuole rinunciare. Ma come fare per capire se queste difficoltà non saranno di intralcio a un futuro insieme? Come non vedere che dove l’uno luccica, l’altro è tenue? Ma tra i due è sbocciato qualcosa e così, per darsi una chance, iniziano gli incontri programmati volta per volta, da uno dei due. Non saranno sempre degli appuntamenti, entrambi vogliono essere sicuri di sentirsi e far sentire il partner a proprio agio nei posti che scelgono e, vi assicuro, ne vedremo delle belle. Ci saranno situazioni simpatiche e altre molto dure per i protagonisti, costretti, ognuno a modo suo, ad affrontare le proprie paure e a uscire dalla loro comfort zone.
“La sofferenza e il dolore nei suoi occhi mi pugnalarono al cuore, ma non cedetti. Lo stronzo che era in me, quello che dubitava meritassi qualcuno come Drew, che credeva che non mi sarei mai sistemato e che non avrei mai trovato qualcuno che tollerasse le mie assurdità, quello stronzo era lo scherno del mio passato che mi assillava e mi tormentava.”
Ma sarà proprio durante questi appuntamenti che queste due anime, così diverse tra loro, scopriranno che affinità e diversità possono essere limate, che si può trovare un punto comune a entrambi, perché dove c’è un sentimento puro, tutto può succedere. Che nonostante ci si senta inadeguati in tante occasioni, quando si ha la fortuna di incontrare l’anima gemella, questa ti insegna che ciò che manca all’uno abbonda nell’altro e che è bellissimo così. E la frase finale del libro descrive appieno ciò che sono diventati stando insieme.
“Insieme non saremmo stati mai eccessivi e sempre abbastanza”

Absolutely brilliant totally got lost in this book
Andrew had been sent to get his hair styled. His boss thought he needed to spruce himself up so he would get more clients at the advertising company so he sent them to one of the companies clients Posh who he knew would do a good job. Andrew didn’t have a brilliant family history. When he informed them that he was gay things went south they didn’t disowning but There was an under current, the problem being people thought he wasn’t gay because he likes sports because he like drinking beer and it really played on his mind even to this day. When he first met Braeton Andrew was bowled over the guy was stunning. The total opposite of him but they say opposites attract.
Braeton was one of those men that you couldn’t help but like. He was a hairstylist with a flair he liked colour he was flamboyant and gay. He also didn’t have the best start with his parents when they found out he was gay and he couldn’t wait to get out of that small town he was picked on for being the only gay that was out whilst at school. People told him he was too much, too gay for years and he promised himself he would never be anything else but be himself. When he met Andrew the attraction was instant and his head was going to the future already. He felt the need to call him Drew even when Andrew didn’t like it.
So we have two guys who are instantly attracted to one another the sexual chemistry between them is off the chart and how my kindle didn’t burn up I have no idea. But you’ve got one guy who people say is not gay enough and then you’ve got the other guy who is too gay. Can these opposite make the perfect ending for these guys?? could they except each other for who they were??
I could not Put this book down it blew me away. It blew me away because it was real I bet there are people out there who have the same struggles as these two guys who just wanna be accepted for who they are. I got swept away with that life���s and what amazing men they were. The communication skills were off the charts, I was going to say knew what each other wanted but hey Brae made a error well nearly fatal error I was screaming at the book in this chapter praying he would stop himself but hey we all have to learn sometimes, he’s just very lucky that Drew is an amazing man.
And I wanna say to A.D. Ellis you made me cry. When Bryan and Jase told their surprise at the end I cried like a baby for Brae and I couldn't stop smiling. Just brilliant

È questo il quarto volume della serie “C’è qualcosa in lui “di A.D.Ellis. Ogni volume mi ha fatto palpitare, ha scosso il mio animo e ho sofferto e gioito con i protagonisti.
Con immensa gioia ho ritrovato in Braeton & Drew i due protagonisti del primo volume della serie Bryan & Jase.
Ogni protagonista di questa serie ha una sua storia precisa, ciò che mi ha colpito in Braeton & Drew sono state le continue vessazioni che hanno subìto, sono stati presi di mira, in modo meschino solo perché omosessuali partendo dal modo di porsi, di vestire, di essere sé stessi.
Braeton sarà per voi un fratello, un amico per cui sarete disposti a farvi in quattro, pur di vederlo comportarsi in maniera naturale, in ogni occasione, non ostacolando i suoi eccessi, le sue arie.
Drew, molto più sobrio e schivo, saprà stare al suo fianco senza sentirsi inadeguato e senza vedere in Breaton, qualcuno per cui sentirsi in imbarazzo.
Drew ci regalerà una massima stupenda, secondo me, quando in un’occasione particolare Braeton dovrà nascondere quella parte di sé che ha sempre messo davanti agli occhi degli altri, perché essere se stessi è ciò che porta alla felicità, ma che per amore del suo Drew nasconde per un po’ di tempo, è una frase che dovremo avere come mantra quando la vita ti snobba, ti bulla e ti gira le spalle:
"Mai eccessivo, sempre abbastanza."
L’amicizia sarà un altro punto forte di questa serie e se sarete concordi con me, vi renderete conto che è il secondo sentimento, dopo l’amore, che non va mai sottovalutato, anzi va alimentato e sostenuto, perché riesce a sopperire quelle mancanze che la vita ti pone davanti quando non riesci a essere ciò che gli altri pretendono e vogliono da te.
Lo stile di Ellis è il punto di forza di ogni sua storia. I dettagli, la cura nelle descrizioni, sono il cardine che danno vita ai suoi personaggi che con le loro situazioni, i loro sentimenti, regalano pura gioia, serenità e ti fanno credere in un mondo piacevole e affabile verso tutti.
Mi fermo qui carissimi/e, un solo consiglio da parte mia, leggete Braeton e Drew, se non l’avete ancora fatto, io vi esorto alla lettura anche dei primi tre volumi, sono certa che non ve ne pentirete e apprezzare ancor più la scrittura di quest’autrice.

Another great installment in the series. And I am especially pleased that Braeton got his HEA. I really like him in Bryan and Jase.
Although this can be read as a stand alone, it’s the first story that has a tie back to a previous story. Jase and Bryan, the first couple in the Something about Him series, are heavily featured in this story.
Andrew “Drew” is sent to Posh Salon for a makeover by his slightly inappropriate boss. There he meets and is instantly attracted to Braeton. Braeton was the love interest of Bryan (Bryan and Jase) when Bryan thought Jase was lost to him forever. Although Braeton really liked Bryan, he did the valiant thing and stepped aside (romantically) when Jase reappeared. Fast forward a few years and Braeton is meeting the man who could be the one!
Braeton and Drew couldn’t be more opposite, but they say opposites attract-like magnets drawn together! Braeton is flamboyant and often accused of being “too much” while stoic Drew is accused of not being enough. Together they make the perfect pair.

Semplicemente perfetto. Questo è un romanzo che trabocca amore, passione, dolcezza e romanticismo da tutti i pori. E' proprio il genere di romanzo MM che più preferisco.
Braeton e Drew (Andrew per tutti gli altri), si conoscono sul posto di lavoro di Braeton, parrucchiere gay fiero e dichiarato che lavora in un salone di bellezza, dove si reca appunto Andrew per poter migliorare il suo aspetto e abbigliamento per poter ottenere, come agente pubblicitario, maggior incarichi con clienti più prestigiosi nel campo della pubblicità. Tra i due l'attrazione è incontenibile ed evidente fin da subito. Ci immergiamo nel loro mondo, nella loro fase di conoscenza e corteggiamento. Assistiamo al momento in cui due anime tanto diverse si innamorano, completandosi a vicenda. Seguiamo anche le vicende degli amici stretti di Braeton, i protagonisti del primo romanzo Bryan e Jase, ed è tutto semplicemente perfetto.
Leggere la loro storia d'amore con uno splendido lieto fine, senza ovviamente tralasciare i momenti piccanti che sono descritti alla perfezione e sono veramente bollenti e mai eccessivi, è stato per me un'enorme piacere e mi ha lasciato con un sorriso enorme sul viso.
Ammetto che questo è stato il primo libro di questa serie che ho letto, ma sto impazzendo dalla voglia di leggerli tutti uno per uno. Attenderò con ansia la traduzione in Italiano dell'ultimo e sesto romanzo di questa serie. Assolutamente consigliato.

A funny, sweet and touching story
This was my first story by this author but the fourth in the Something About Him series; while characters do carry over, it worked well as a standalone.
This is an opposites attract story with very human, very realistic characters. Where Braeton has been told he's too flamboyant, Drew has been told he's not flamboyant enough. I have to say of the two, I identified more strongly with Drew as over the top isn't my style, but Braeton is funny and caring, and I couldn't help but love him too.
Well-written, I was never sure just where the plot was going to go, and I found it to be a very enjoyable, fast read. While the message was worthwhile, there were spots that felt just a touch preachy to me...a little bit of overkill when more subtlety might have served the story better, but it's a pretty minor flaw and I look forward to reading this author again. A funny, sweet and touching story, I give it 4 stars.

This must be the best book out of the series by far!
The characters that A.D. Ellis portrays are so real to life that you feel their emotions and laugh and cry with them throughout the book!
Breaton is the flamboyant sassy colorful too much gay stylist that turns straight laced always not enough gay advertiser Andrew Hines world upside down!
They are the total opposites of each other and yet they fit like two magnets with opposite poles drawn to each other!
They have a tumulous journey ahead with bad dates and a homophobic society’ until they find their true north and true south in each other! NEVER TOO MUCH ALWAYS ENOUGH!

Braeton and Drew . . .
Braeton Reed has been called a diva. Andrew has been told he’s not “flashy” enough. Do differences really matter when two people come together? This is a sweet, warm and fuzzy story, but I have issues with it being okay for Andrew to be asked to change his looks and clothes and spiff up for work, but it's not okay to tell Brae to not be so flamboyant for a pitch, because he's gay. Both were asked to "change who they were". Unfortunately that ruined an otherwise good storyline. And I enjoyed Drew and Brae, except for them both getting angry over Brae's "person". It's not homophobic to not like flamboyant people or to not want to hire them. And just because he tames his flamboyance doesn't make him straight, because obviously Drew is gay yet doesn't dress like Brae.

Very sweet romance between two individuals (Drew and Braeton) who conventional wisdom would not place together since they truly were complete opposites. But, as they quickly learned, they were perfect for eachother.
I liked the supporting cast of characters and especially liked the lesson in diversity and civility that was handed to Drew’s boss. My only “complaint” is that I was looking for that bit of angst and drama that typically comes with these stories; the kind that almost tears the relationship apart but then they come back stronger. But there was none of that here. These two didn’t even fight.

This was a great witty and well paced book. I really liked both Andrew/ Drew and Braeton as characters, they both have many facets to their charatcers and are equally well developed and are equal to eachother in this book. The author did a great job in creating a believable world around the main characters with some nice sidelines with old and new characters. I was completely emerged and could not put the book down. I just wanted to pull up a chair and join in. I recommend this book if you like to read about men who fall fast for eachother but stay grounded. 5* all the way. I was given a copy of this book by the author to leave a honest review.

Who gets to judge and label? Braeton is a young gay man who was labeled as 'too gay'. Andrew is an older gay man, who was labeled 'not gay enough'. Andrew's boss wanted him to have a makeover to make him more attractive for new clients. Braeton, gave Andrew a makover they both liked. They got to know each other and learned a few things about themselves and each other. Fun story. This is a feel good story that reminds us how great it is to fall in love. I would really like to see an example of the dated apartment house. Good found family. Great storyline. Nicely done. I recevied an ARC and am voluntarily leaving a review.

MM romance. Braeton Reed left his small-minded hometown and disapproving family long ago and never looked back. Andrew Hines has nothing against a solid, loving relationship; he just isn’t sure he’ll ever find one. Braeton has been told he’s a bit of a diva, he is 'too gay.' Andrew has heard he’s not flashy enough, 'not gay enough.' When they meet, sparks fly, but their difference may be too opposite for each other to handle. A great story of being who you are and being loved for that.

I so love A.D. Ellis's M/M books. The characters and scenes are so real and so heart felt it's hard to remember they are not real. Though in the opening the author does say that the situations in most of her books are from real life experience. She has such a a great writing style and self imposed rules about real places and fictitious places that it's refreshing. Braeden is so colorful and so unapologetic of his identity and personality, you cannot help but love him and Andrew the same. They are a great couple with supportive friends.

Maybe a little too sweet for my taste. Almost like a formula. They’re different enough to make it interesting but they’re also total cliches. The author seems to want to make a point about the evils of stereotypes so of course uses stereotypical gay characters. The “flaming” gay guy and the no one would ever guess he’s gay guy. I found it annoying. The drama in the story isn’t very interesting either, and everything just works out so perfectly with no real struggle. Kinda bland...

This story was a great story of the how two people on the opposite ends of the same spectrum can be so perfect for one another. Braeton is on one end while Drew is on the other. It is great to see them over come their own issues and sterotypes to become a great couple. Throughout the story you see them change and grow as a person as well as a couple. It is also great to see other couples once again make a appearance in the story.

Opposites attract, low angst love story. Too gay? Not gay enough? Who in the world comes up with these ideas of how people 'should' be, and what gives them the right to push their opinions on others? I liked the way the author showed the ridiculousness of such stereotypes, and how Braeton and Drew realized they were perfect the way they are...and perfect for each other.
