Great beginner guide to America's National Parks! There's a little bit of info about a lot of parks in the form of snippets and facts.

I wish there was more history of the parks. It gives brief summaries and nice pictures but not much history

So I read this for my students in the Academic Decathlon. I am their coach for this subject and I had to make tests up based on their reading. I read it at the same pace they did, sections were already assigned. This was an amazing book. I loved the history of the national parks. I would love to see many of them, however you hear so many crazy stories about the national parks and how so many people go missing each year, so I'll pass. Yes, this is a child's book, but still a very good read.
