I really enjoyed setting of this book - based in Mumbai, the colours and textures of the pictures really drew you into the story as well demonstrating Indian culture. I liked the themes of friendship, responsibility and loyalty throughout this story. As well as watching the development of the character Raju in terms of him gaining control of his emotions.

Absolutely delightful story with universal appeal... that happens to take place in India, in Mumbai and a farm not too far from the city, happens to be valuable for#OwnVoices and diversity. A surprise ending makes it even more special. Recommended.

I will try to find more by Yellow Bananas & Crabtree.
