The man she tried to escape becomes her deepest, darkest desire.

Jude

When she took refuge in my stables from merciless men, I could have excused my desirable squatters indiscretion, but then she ran from me.

I had to have this innocent beauty. I craved the chase.

She needs my help, but nothing is free in my world. I’m in a position to protect her, but it will come at a cost. Everything does.

But which one of us will end up paying the price?

Emmie

I needed a place to stay for a few nights to get away from the brutal men my father owed a debt. I meant no disrespect. I had no idea the stables belonged to a rich, powerful, and unforgiving older man with a dark history.

He offers a solution, but it comes with conditions. If I want his help, I have to enter into a savage deal with him.

He’ll rescue me from the men who seek to use me as revenge against my father, and in exchange, I have to give him anything he wants, including my virginity.

If I continue to run, my father’s enemies will hunt me down, and sell me off to the highest bidder. If I stay, I fall prey to a man who wants to possess me. Either way, I’ll never be free.

4.5/5 I'm going to take care of you, Emmie. I never go back on my word.

Okayyy, this was an amazing book! I was enthralled from page one all the way to the end. It features a 25 year age gap, a single dad, and a girl on the run. It's a captive romance but it's not all that dark.

20 year old Emmie is trying to escape from her father's debt. She hides out in a stable outside of town. Sadly, she gets caught - and the man who caught her, Jude, isn't letting her go.

"Do you still want to run?"
"Yes," she whispered.
What the fuck? Doesn't she understand she's mine now?
"Your virgin blood is still smeared across my dick and you want to leave?"
"I don't want to run away from you."
"What do you want?"
"I want to run to you."

Their story is emotional, a little angsty, and their chemistry is flaming. There's push and pull, but Jude stays in control at all times. At least, until the end of the book! I really enjoyed reading this. I've been looking forward to it for a while and it exceeded my expectations! I can't wait until the second book in the duet releases!

Was it right for me to keep her? Did I deserve such perfection? Did I even fucking care what was right at this point? As long as she was mine, nothing else mattered.

LIKES:
-the age gap cause I'm a whore for age gaps tbh
-the fact that Jude is keeping her as a "captive" but the story is so sweet!
-there is NO drama between his 18 year old daughter and her about them getting into a relationship. Usually there's lots of drama, but Ella Jade wrote this well!
-the belt play ;) wasn't expecting that
-THE DADDY KINK
-how possessive Jude is over Emmie!! I love over-protective heroes <3

DISLIKES:
-the cliffhanger!
-that Jude's ex, his daughter's mother, is still in the picture. No drama there, it just made me uncomfortable lol

SAFETY:
Ages: 20/21h, 45H
Virgin/celibate virgin heroine, no history on hero but he didn't come across as a manwhore!
OM/OW no OM/OW in the traditional sense, OM is after Emmie (to kidnap and sell), and an 18 year old is obsessed with Jude
Tropes: captive romance, age gap, single dad, cartel
Triggers: physical abuse to h (not by H)
Kinks: daddy, dry hump, praise/degradation, belt play???, rough sex
HEA?: cliffhanger!

Savage Deal by Ella Jade is the First book in the Savage Duet. This starts the story of Emmie Jaxon and Jude Cordero. Emmie is on the run from people her father owe money to and they want to take it out on her. So, she ends up hiding in a quiet barn she thought only to find she in more hot water. Jude is a powerful man whose pottery she is on. Jude is smitten with Emmie from the first spotting and offers her a deal. This book does end setting us up for the next installment in their story.

“Savage Deal” is advertised as an age gap romance. But it is so much more than that. It is about a young woman named Emmie. Who has a real scumbag for a father. This guy borrowed a large amount of money from some really bad people. Then when it came to payment time, the guy skips town. Not caring that those bad people will come after his daughter for the money, or worse.

That's what we open the story with. Emmie is in a bad situation, running to a horse barn because it's safe, and because she had nowhere to go. Then in walks Jude. No really, he actually walked into the barn, and shined a flashlight on her. This is the start to their complicated relationship.

Jade has made a well written book that I found myself unable to put down. I really feel with all the characters she wrote. And all their differences. That the horse tender Anthony was my favorite. After all, if he hadn't had a lapse of judgment, and a kind heart. We wouldn’t have a book.

I will say I was extremely upset, when I finished the book. Jade did one of the worst things an author could do. She left on a beautiful, terrifying, cliffhanger that made me want to grab the next book immediately. The reason this is bad? Book two “Savage Soul”, is not coming out until June 26th, 2023. I finished “Savage Deal” on June 1st, 2023.

Savage Deal & Savage Soul – A Full Review ★★★½

I’ve never done a review mid-book before, but this one had me feeling some type of way, so here we are. Except now, I’ve actually finished both books, so let’s talk about it.

First things first: Savage Deal and Savage Soul should have been one book. The story flows so seamlessly that there was no need for a split. But, such is life.

Jude – The Unreasonable Alpha with Terrible Security

I like Jude. He’s got presence, he’s intense, and he commands every scene he’s in. But for all that dominance, there’s no background on him. No insight into what made him the way he is—he’s just… there. A walking power trip. And while that works for a lot of dark romance heroes, I wanted more depth.

Then there’s the way he reacts. Unreasonable is an understatement. The pregnancy test scene? That man took a leap with no parachute. He sees an unopened test and immediately spirals, assuming the worst, accusing Emmy without giving her a chance to explain. The test wasn’t even hers—it was his daughter’s! Situations like that happen a lot with him. Instead of thinking, he reacts, and not in a way that makes him more appealing.

Also, can we talk about how his security team is absolute trash?

For someone with so much money, power, and supposed control, his home and workplace get breached constantly. It’s laughable at this point. Like, what is he even paying them for? If you’re that rich and dangerous, shouldn’t you have top-tier security? But no, every time you blink, someone is either sneaking in or straight-up attacking them on his property. It makes no sense.

Emmy – The Weakest, Whiniest Heroine Ever?

Oh, Emmy. Sigh. I have never seen a heroine with less backbone. She’s naive, second-guesses everything, and just lets things happen to her. She has a learning disability—she can’t read—but we get no real depth to her struggles. It’s just another reason for her to feel inadequate. She lets Jude steamroll her, and every time she does decide to act, it’s in the dumbest way possible. Running away when she’s accused? Without a plan? Without thinking it through? Come on.

And then there’s the biggest question—why is Jude even attracted to her?

Jude has been on this earth for 45 years. Women must be throwing themselves at him left, right, and center. And yet, here comes Emmy, the most unremarkable, weak-spined woman, and somehow, she’s the one? There’s no prior setup for her being exceptionally beautiful or having some kind of rare magnetism. But suddenly, once she’s with him, she commands the attention of everyone she meets. How? Where was all this beauty and presence before?

Also, she’s a virgin at 20. In itself, that’s not a problem, but it makes no sense given her circumstances. She’s been struggling her whole life, living in survival mode, and yet, somehow, she’s never had a single romantic relationship? No backstory of a crush, a past love, something? And in all that hardship, she’s never been taken advantage of, never been in a situation where she had to fight off someone? The book just throws that in as a given, but it makes her character feel even more unrealistic.

And if I have to hear one more time about how “innocent and naïve” she is…

Like, we get it. She’s helpless, wide-eyed, and pure as the driven snow. But at some point, it becomes too much. The constant reinforcement of her innocence feels forced, as if that’s the only way to justify Jude’s obsession with her. It’s an overused trope, and instead of making her endearing, it just makes her bland.

And let’s talk about the never-ending pity party.

Every other sentence out of Emmy’s mouth is some variation of boo-hoo, my life was so hard, nobody cared about me, woe is me. Listen, tragic backstories can add depth, but when that’s all a character has to offer, it gets exhausting. Her entire personality is “sad and helpless.” It doesn’t make me root for her—it just makes me roll my eyes.

Her Father – Delusion at Its Peak

And now, for one of the most bizarre parts of this story—Emmy’s delusional father.

Sir, you’re out here choosing one drug lord over the other like this is some kind of ethical dilemma? He willingly sells his daughter off to a criminal because… what, that one is slightly less evil? Make it make sense. He’s fully aware of the situation, knows both men are dangerous, and still makes a choice like he’s picking the lesser of two car rental companies. It’s absurd.

And yes, Emmy does stand up to him. But it’s weak, ineffective, and just ends up feeling like more whining. She finally gets a moment to push back, and instead of it being powerful, it’s just… meh. A letdown.

The Story – Addictive but Unrealistic

You know I love my age-gap romances, and this one isn’t bad. It’s engaging. It has that pull that keeps me flipping pages. But there are so many unrealistic moments that I have to suspend all logic to get through it.

Final Rating: ★★★½ (3.5 stars)

Why? Because even with all its faults, I was invested. It’s a 20+ year age gap—duh! The dynamic itself kept me reading, even though the heroine is frustrating, the hero is temperamental, the security is nonexistent, and the plot has gaps you could drive a truck through.

I finished both books, and while I wouldn’t say they were amazing, they were addictive in their own way. Maybe things changed along the way. Maybe Emmy grew a little. Maybe Jude became slightly less of a hot-headed tyrant. Maybe her father’s logic remained as questionable as ever.

Would I recommend it? If you love a dark age-gap romance and can overlook some serious flaws, sure. But if you need a strong heroine and a plot that makes sense… maybe not.

Emmie has been neglected her entire life- those who were supposed to take care of her have failed in every way they could, which has now led her to being sought after to pay a debt she had no idea existed.

Jude has it all- wealth, power, family- everything Emmie has never had. When he stumbles upon her sleeping in his horse stables, she has no idea who he even is, but it doesn't take long for Jude to find out her darkest secret. Armed with that knowledge, Jude does the only right thing in his mind to keep her safe- he buys her debt and in exchange is only looking for companionship. Can Emmie give him that without risking her heart and the only safety she has known her entire life?

This story keeps you on edge from beginning to end- and the end is a cliffhanger so it really leaves you wanting more. Jude is a very tough, domineering MMC but does have a softer side that Emmie brings out and as the reader you get to see as time progresses. There is something about the two of them that just warms your heart and I truly believe that it has everything to do with Jude wanting to give Emmie all of the simple things that she missed out on as a child. Despite all of that, Jude is still very set in his ways- he likes order and has no time for anyone willing to lie to him- and there are a few moments between both of them that really show you that he is one for complete honesty and commands unconditional trust- even when Emmie doesn't understand much about what he does to amass the wealth that he has at his disposal.

At times it is really upsetting to read about Emmie's past, especially as the list of those who wronged her grows the more you get to know her. She had to become a tough individual from the moment she started living with her dad and that is something that is very difficult for her to break. There are moments that even when she knows she is safe and that Jude has no intention of letting her go (at least for the time being) her walls are still there because she knows that everything could disappear in an instant. She is such a contrast next to Jude's daughter Cassie that their differences in upbringing and lifestyles is striking but they work well to give you a better understanding of Emmie and her appreciation for everything that has happened- whether it be simple or complex.

The chemistry between Jude and Emmie is off the page. There is quite a bit of an age gap between them- he's mid 40's and she is just shy of 21 when this story begins, but that doesn't mean that there isn't an understanding and desire that floats between them. Sometimes you find love and companionship in the most unexpected places and these two certainly have. I sincerely hope that their story gets a happily ever after in the next book because I really think that these two have something unique and special. Can't wait to see what happens next- especially after this ending!

Start to the Savage Duet hang on and buckle up because from the start to the last page is turned will keep you wanting to know where they are headed someone on the run from some very dangerous people and taken refuge on land that belongs to someone just as dangerous so get comfortable with your favorite snack and favorite drink you will need it! Jude sexy as all get out owner of the stables, catching an innocent beauty wasn’t on his to do list when he got up that morning but she made things worse for herself by running away from him especially when he likes the chase and when he gets his hands on her he will be happy to assist her but not without payment is his way of thinking. Emmie is on the run from some very dangerous men who want her in place of a debt owed by her father, yep daddy of the year….not so hiding in a stable just for a few nights allowing her time to think of a way out never imagine the owner would ever see her so when caught she runs naturally never realizing he would catch her and his offer of help comes at a cost despite the price she has to pay he makes her feel safe but she has to be payment doing everything he says giving up her v-card to him when all she wants is freedom either keep running the men her father owe money to will catch her selling her to the highest bidder or stay with this man allowing him to posses her when all she wants is freedom from it all. But she can’t ignore the immediate attraction between her and this much older crime lord he is offering to pay off the loan shark but she will become his but what she doesn’t realize is that he is not only asking he is also offering her the freedom she seeks but freedom without looking over her shoulder and not to mention the magnetic pull between them neither of them can ignore but will she stay with the one man who makes her feel safe, who is offering her a way out, or will she keep running despite the attraction she feels towards him, will he pay off the loan shark, will her father stay out of trouble or head right back to it after the debt is paid, will she ever be free truly free, can he prove it isn’t just sexual for him, and can she find peace, safety along with happiness?.

Book 1 of 2
Story: ✭✭✭✭
Spice: 🌶️🌶️🌶️
Dual pov
Cliffhanger: yes

I really enjoyed this ARC from Ella Jade. The story revolves around Emmie and Jude. Emmie is found sleeping in Judes horse stables while trying to hide from the man who is after her to pay back his debt.

Emmie is twenty years old, jobless and homeless. She's estranged from her father and running from a man who is hell bent on collecting a debt that her father owes, knowing she will never actually be able to pay it back.

Jude, a man with more money than he knows what to do with, finds Emmie sleeping in his horse stables, and finds himself too intrigued to let her go. Going against his business partners advice to set her free after digging up information on her decides to pay off Emmie's debt in return for her innocence. Did I forget to mention we don't quite know what sort of business Jude is running? There are other players in the story what we don't know a lot about yet, but I look forward to how this is going to play out in book two- Savage Soul.

I enjoyed the character development of both main characters-Jude and Emmie. Jude has a tight knit family unit. We learn a lot about his eighteen year old daughter that lives under the same roof as he and Emmie, as well as her current boyfriend who is playing a devious angle we're not quite sure about yet.

Let me talk a little about the spice. While the book isn't off the charts on the Scoville heat scale, we can all agree that spice is a subjective thing. I found Savage Deal pretty damn good. There is definitely something hot about a sweet innocent female losing her virginity to a much older, experienced and dominating man.

What happens when both Emmie and Jude realize they care more than they should for the other, but don't bother coming clean on this fact before something happens that sets Emmie running once again, and into the Lions den of someone Jude despises?

I DON'T KNOW! Cliffhanger, anyone? I can't wait to find out what happens next. Thank you Ella Jade for allowing me to read an anvanced copy. I was sent a free book and am voluntarily leaving this honest review.

This is an age gap romance story about Emmie and Jude. He is a crime lord and she is in big trouble. Being held responsible for her fathers debt. With nowhere to go she seeks shelter in a barn where Jude finds her and is immediately taken with her. He just has to know her secrets and that she is in debt to a loan shark named Caleb. He will pay him off but Emmie has to make a deal with him for his protection and anything she could possible ever want or need. She can't deny there is a spark between them. And while she has been offered protection danger still lurks as Caleb is not a man who likes to be outwitted and just might have wanted Emmie for himself. This is certainly a steamy read with a possessive, bossy, I will go to war for the woman he is starting to feel things for and she is a sweet innocent girl who got caught up in a mess not of her own making. There is enough of a danger to the story line to keep you on the edge of your seat some of the time. I really enjoyed reading this book.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 4 stars!

I didn’t know what I wanted to read next after my last book, I was torn between a stand-alone or a series and in the end I picked up this duet! It’s been on my tbr since it came out in 2023, and it’s also my first time reading from Ella Jade. So it was all new to me, I didn’t know what to expect going in.

Where to start? This was a definite page turner for me! I couldn’t put it down despite wanting to try and saver it a bit longer 😅. Everything flowed really well, no time was really wasted and it kept me on my toes.

Jude…or shall I say Daddy Jude 🤭 was a sexy hero, who was possessive, dominant and intimidating 🥵. His relationship with Emmie was steamy but also cute at times despite his reputation.

As for Emmie, she was a solid heroine who had a strong backbone about her, as well as being a survivor of her upbringing and a tough cookie to crack 🥺🫂. I thought she came into her own as the story progressed, she gained confidence and felt good about herself, which I liked 👍🏻.

The spice was also well done and I thought it wasn’t too slow or too fast. It got heated and some of the quotes got me blushing. Jude knew how to please his girl 😉😏.

All in all for my first time reading from this author I thoroughly enjoyed myself. I always love an age-gap romance, you don’t need to persuade there 🤭. It’s one of my favourite tropes to read about but if you’re not a fan of big gaps then this is probably not for you.

There were a few moments here and there that I thought were glossed over, hence why it’s not full marks BUT overall the ending left me excited and intrigued to check out book 2 asap 👏🏻😬.

I received and Advanced Reader Copy and am voluntarily reviewing it. Jude Cordero owns an upscale dinner club that may be a front for the cartel. He meets Emmie Jaxon while she is trespassing at this house in the stables. There is something about Emmie that draws him to her. He wants to protect her, wants her to be his. After finding out what is going on, Jude makes Emmie a deal. She will be his companion and he will make the bad guys go away. Emmie, of course, is hesitant. She has never had anyone take care of her. In fact, her father is the reason why she is in this mess in the first place.

Once Emmie finds out what Jude has done to help her, she feels obligated to do what he wants. Emmie is also drawn to this much older man who has a daughter, Cassandra, who is only a few years younger than she is. Will this man leave her to fend for herself once he gets what he wants from her? Jude's family consists of a host of characters. His best friend and business partner, Luke, made it plain that Jude should help Emmie but not get too close but Jude always gets what he wants.

Is Jude a little subborn, strict and expecting of obedience from everyone? Yes. But it is sexy and Emmie is here for it. There are some weird characters that keep making trouble for the couple but the private moments they share are steamy and hot. Jude is a handful and Emmie is learning to navigate her way through life with the man she is beginning to have feeling for. Can she deal with his temper when it is aimed solely to her? This book ends with a cliffhanger. I can't wait to read the next book in this captivating series.

“I would have paid a billion dollars for you.”

Emmie Jaxon is an innocent young woman desperate to escape the clutches of very dangerous men targeting her to pay the debt owed by her deadbeat father. She flees with few belongings and seeks shelter on a quiet property with enclosed horse stables. She unknowingly makes a choice that may put her in even more danger as the property is owned by notorious criminal, Jude Cordero. He’s a wealthy, powerful, ruthless, and dominant alpha male that is entranced by Emmie’s delicate soul. He offers Emmie a deal she cannot refuse — he will buy her father’s debt to save her life, but must become his possession in every way. Jude craves control and he takes advantage of Emmie’s situation to get exactly what he wants from her.

Emmie was a very sweet and strong heroine, but incredibly naive. Jude was utter perfection as he was firm but attentive and made sure Emmie was well-taken care of. Their chemistry was scorching hot and the connection with each other felt genuine. The steamy moments were *chefs kiss* and my heart definitely melted. The book ended on a brutal cliffhanger (I was internally screaming) and I need the sequel immediately! I think there is so much more to unravel in the next book. I also hope we get some good grovel from Jude after the accusations he slung at Emmie, too.

Tropes: Contemporary romance, mafia romance, dark romance, age gap, billionaire romance, virgin heroine
Heat: 3/5.

Savage deal is a steamy age gap romance between Emmie and her crime lord savior Jude. Emmie is on the hook for her father's debt and runs for shelter in a barn, where she's discovered by Jude. Jude is enchanted by Emmie immediately and wants to know her secrets. He finds out her predicament with the loan shark Caleb and pays him off so he can make a deal with Emmie. She gives him her innocence in return for safety and anything she could need. Emmie is reluctant to accept the deal but can't deny the spark they share and her limited options. As time goes on, Emmie settles in and builds a relationship with Jude, but Caleb and his associates aren't through with these two yet, which means danger ahead.

Jude was bossy, possessive, and willing to go to war for a woman he felt a spark with. While controlling at times, he takes care of those closest to him and extends that to sweet Emmie. Emmie is young but has an old soul paired with a kind heart, bridging their age gap closer together. These two definitely brought the steam to the party in a timely manner that was neither too slow nor too fast. I liked the cast of secondary characters, though some may prove to be more villainous than others. They play significant roles in their story and add to Emmie's internal struggles. This does end in a cliffhanger, but I'm absolutely interested in seeing how the rest of this journey pans out! I'll definitely keep reading the next one and hoping to get several questions answered!

Savage Deal is told in dual POV of the two main characters- Emmie and Jude.

Emmie has had it hard and nobody has ever really been there for her before so when Jude wants to look after her she’s dubious and scared but this book explores her finally starting to feel happy and safe and even develop relationships that she never thought she would have. She’s a nice girl and unfortunately thats to her detriment because as much as that aspect makes her attractive to Jude, when people suggest she’s something else to him his darkness and cynicism let him believe them even though he knows that’s not true.

Emmie is a wonderful character and I really enjoyed her interactions with side characters like Anthony. It was lovely to watch her grow. Jude’s behaviours were frustrating at times - very much ‘I’m right you’re wrong’ and towards the end I wanted to shake him for his idiocy. That’s how you know an author has done a good job when you can champion a couple yet still smack one of the characters upside the head.

The authors done a great job of creating the world the story is set in and there are plenty of twists and turns opening up their way for the second book. I can’t wait to see what happens next.

I voluntarily reviewed a copy of "SAVAGE DEAL"
What a fabulous well written story that hooks you from the start I loved it so much happens it's full of suspense, intrigue, danger, fear, action, steam, secrets, betrayal, emotional turmoil, twists that has you on the edge of your seat to the end.
Emmie's put in a dangerous situation when her father's enemies come to claim the debt he owes them mean she'll have to pay they'll see her to the highest bidder she runs hiding in a stable of a very rich, powerful older crime lord Jude.
Jude offers her a Savage deal with conditions to save her from her father's enemies she has to do anything he wants including giving him her virginity, he's attracted up her, very domineering, likes to be in charge control everything.
Emmie get close to his family making her feel closer to to Jude, their chemistry sizzles with some hot intense steamy scenes.
I definitely recommend to get this on the edge if your seat story with plenty of drama in Jude's family, his business, possible human trafficking, the cliffhanger is a mindblowing brutal ending leaving you wanting more.
I'm so looking forward to the next book in this amazing duet "SAVAL SOUL" can't gone soon enough to see what's going up happen.

This ARC from Ella Jade was a great read for me. Emmie and Jude are the focus of the story. Emmie is found staying in bed Jude's pony corrals while attempting to stow away from the one who is after her to take care of his obligation. I partook in the person advancement of both the principal characters-Jude and Emmie. Jude has a very close nuclear family. We gain some significant knowledge about his eighteen-year-old little girl that lives under a similar rooftop as he and Emmie, as well as her ongoing sweetheart who is playing a wicked point we're not exactly certain about yet. Let me briefly discuss the spice. Despite the fact that the book does not top the Scoville heat scale, we can all agree that spice is a personal preference. Savage Deal was pretty good to me. A sweet, innocent woman losing her virginity to a much older, more experienced, and dominant man is definitely something hot. What happens when Jude and Emmie both realize they care more about each other than they should, but they don't tell each other before something happens that sends Emmie back into Jude's hated Lion's den? Who wants a cliffhanger? I can hardly stand by to find out!.

Jude and Emmie meet when she is found sleeping in his barn. Emmie is much younger than Jude, but he is still very attracted to her, and her to him. Jude is a domineering, must be in charge, never question him kind of guy. Emmie begins to get to know Jude and his family and begins to start to feel more attached to Jude. The story does have an element of ddlg, but only him calling her little girl or good girl and her calling him daddy. There are some very hot scenes between the two of them, they have some hot scenes where they are just getting hot and heavy then there are scenes that are very intense. There is alot of family drama in this story, it's through the whole thing. There's an underlying intrigue concerning Jude's business that kept me wondering what was going to happen. There are some scenes that some readers may find upsetting such as women being struck and repeated references to human trafficking. The story ends on a cliffhanger and I am excited to get the next one to finish reading Jude and Emmie's story. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

This book was a fantastic read. I was sucked in right from the start. Jude and Emmie are an unlikely pair. There is about 20 years between them. Jude finds Emmie in his stables sheltering. From the moment he sees her there is something about her that calls to him. Then he finds out who she is hiding and running from. If he was a better man, he would pay her debt and let her go but he isn’t a better man. He wants to keep her for himself. But he is lying to himself and thinking she is just for convivence. The original deal was that there wouldn’t be any feelings between them just safety for Emmie and companionship for Jude. Neither seem to be sticking to the deal though. The man was after Emmie isn’t done with her either. Can Jude keep her safe or will his anger with himself but her in jeopardy? This book does end on a cliffhanger so be prepared. I loved these characters so much. I am sure this book isn’t everyone’s cup of tea and some would take issue with their relationship. Jude finds himself wanting to protect and care for Emmie. Emmie finds herself feeling safe and like she is part of the family while with Jude. But of course, things can’t go that smoothly. Jude has trust issues and Emmie is still trying to find her place with Jude. I can’t wait for the next book in the series. Fantastic job Ella.

Ok so one I think this is my first book by Ella Jade and I throughly enjoyed it. Like it hooked me right from the start. I wanted to know what was happening and what was going to happen.  It was mysterious and hot and sexy. And I loved the steamy age gap older man thing that was happening in this book. And the almost like she feels she didn't have a choice but she wanted him as much as he wanted her. But about halfway through i was like how is this only going to be one book??!! Because that was what I thought when I first went into this book and guess what I was wrong and I knew it I guessed it about halfway through it and it just ruffled my feathers that I didn't know going in. I still would have read it but I like being prepared. It doesn't leave you in like a major cliffhanger but it does just kinda just drop off in a bad place. Like what was that??!!! Now I need book 2 immediately!! But I have to wait til June. So not to bad of a wait thank goodness.  I'm curious to see how Jude reacts to the situation he has created here. And what happens to Emmie? This was a fantastic read!! I can't wait for more!!

"Savage Deal" is an age-gap mafia romance, with a silver fox of a hero and a naïve little girl for a heroine.

After Jude saves Emmie from the streets, he keeps her for himself by making a deal she can't decline. They spend a few weeks together and then realize that the thing between them is far more than just a deal, but something happens and then their entire relationship takes a twist. Would they be able to forgive and continue?

The book is very interesting and combines the essence of romance with a dose of realism. The writing is pretty good, and while some scenes felt rushed (like the Thanksgiving dinner) I liked the overall pace. The spice was hot, but again, I felt like there could've been more of it.

I did like the heroine, but sometimes her victim mentality annoyed me. The hero was also okay, but I don't feel like he would be on my podium of bookmen (especially considering his overreaction at the end).

Overall, the book is pretty good, and while it could've been better, I still very much enjoyed it, so I definitely recommend it to anyone who likes age-gap relationships.

When you're so into a book that you're not paying attention to how much is left in it. You just keep turning the pages because you can't wait to see what comes next. THEN it ends because you totally forgot it was a duet and you're going NOOOOOO!!!!! That was totally me!

Emmie is in trouble because of her father and she's trying to get out of it but can't escape the man who wants her to pay off her dad's debt. She runs to the country to a barn and feels safe in a horse barn not knowing who the owner is or what he does for a living. She just knows she feels safe and that's something she hasn't felt for too long.

When Jude catches on she's sleeping in his barn he has a preposition for her. How can she not take him up on it? He makes her feel safe even though she's not sure what he does for a living. She's also very attracted him even though he's much older then her.

I can tell you I did fall for Jude but also wanted to throat punch him at the end of the book. He doesn't realize what he did until it was too late. I seriously can't wait for the final book in this duet!

Twenty year old Emmie is being targeted by a loan shark, determined to recover the inflated debt her deadbeat father racked-up, before he conveniently skipped town. Jobless, penniless, and desperate to avoid the loan shark’s right-hand man, Cobra, Emmie takes refuge in a horse’s stable on private property on the edge of town. Unbeknownst to her, the stable’s owner is Jude Cordero - questionable businessman with ties to the cartel.

When she’s discovered, Jude convinces a somewhat reluctant Emmie to stay, with him as his guest. He learns from his contacts that she was about to be auctioned as payment for her father’s debt, so Jude puts an alternative offer on the table under the guise of keeping her safe.

I enjoyed this spicy age-gap romance read. I found myself particularly appreciative Jude’s dominant and brooding countenance - I love a good Daddy kink. Witnessing their relationship develop, and Emmie’s personal growth were especially rewarding elements to the story. After that surprising ending, book 2 can’t come soon enough.

This was an Age Gap, Close Proximity, Daddy Dom/Little Girl kink, some BDSM and a Relationship of Convenience.
This book was so consuming from the first page.
Emmie was on the run from loan sharks that her dad owed. But she ran away from one devil to another.
Jude was dark, handsome dominant and successful business man. He knows what he wants and he will get it it.
He doesn't do relationships and he made a deal to save her for her submission.
They have a lot of push and pull in the start then the chemistry combust in the best way. They have a lot of Steamy encounters.
But there are so many wolves in sheepskins. Who do you trust? Who is after Emmie? Can they both accept their feelings and tell each other before it's too late? Can Jude trust Emmie?
They have so many obstacles in their way. Judeay be dark, Alpha and dominte but he is so adorable with Emmie, he melted my heart so much.
But unfortunately betrayal and insecurity just might win in the end.
That cliff hanger 😭. Book 2 can't come quick enough.

I'm writing this review for United Indie Book blog...

So this book starts out with Emmie's life falling apart and her trying to stay alive. Her dad owes some powerful people a lot of money. She's scared and found comfort in the horse stables. She's naive in a lot of ways and wasn't raised properly. When she meets Jude, things change for her. She's living the life she's always dreamed of. He's 25 years older then her and has more money then he knows what to do with. He wants to take care of her and show her a whole new life. He wants her to have the things she's never have and wants her to feel what it's like to be cared for. Jude is a powerful man and hasn't ever wanted to settle down. Emmie changes that for him. I love how overprotective he was over her and how no matter what happened his daughter didn't hold anything against Emmie. She seemed to accept her dad and Emmie's relationship. She was a spoiled brat though but likeable. Her friend and boyfriend, not to so much... this book was steamy and sweet at times. I got sucked in and could NOT put this down!!!

"I don't want to run away from you."

"What do you want?"

"I want to run to you."

"Straight into the arms of the devil." I grinned. "That's my girl."

I absolutely loved this book and the relationship between Jude and Emmie. Jude is significantly older and has that alpha male mentality. Emmie on the other hand, is very innocent and naive. Their relationship starts as part of a deal but grows into something much more steamy and even sweet at times.

In this book we learn about the various dynamics between not just the main characters, but also the supporting characters. Readers are introduced to Jude's line of work, which plays I am sure will play heavily into the story in the next book. The book leaves at a cliffhanger and I cannot wait for everything to come together in the next book.

This is my first time reading Ella Jade and I am looking forward to reading her other titles as I patiently wait for the next book of this duet.

This is my first time reading a book by Ella Jade and now I'm obsessed! I couldn't put it down and had it read in one sitting. It has great tempo and speed so nothing drags and it keeps you drawn in the whole read. This is one of the best books I've read this year. It has everything you want in a great book action, drama, suspence, twists, love and plenty of steam. There's all that but there are also characters to love and root for and characters to hate and can't wait to see the demise of (looking at you Josh 😒). Besides the two leads, Jude and Emmie, there are also some great side characters as well. I mean how can you not end up loving Anthony, Luke,Grace, and Sasha. Emmie is so sweet and vulnerable that you want to join Jude and protect her and hide her away from the world. It does end on a cliffhanger and now I have to wait 6 weeks to finish Jude and Emmie's story 😭! Please read and spread the word about this book!!

"Trying to be sexy was a lot of work." 😂

Savage Deal is definitely a dark & twisty story, and I simply couldn't get enough of it. Emmie is on the run from a man who wants to use her to pay off her father's debt, and you already know in this kind of situation, using people for debts is never really paid. She ends up in Jude's stables hiding out, and there's something about Emmie that calls to Jude, an older, controlling man. He strikes a deal with her, and while she's not too happy with it, there's something about Jude that draws her in. On top of this goodness, this world that Jude & Emmie are in is unforgiving, and filled with lies, secrets & betrayals so the twists are coming in hot. AND we don't know the extent of what Jude's world consists of so I'm dying inside for all the answers because this story does indeed end on a brutal cliffhanger. The next book can't come quickly enough as Ella Jade has me savagely obsessed! HIGHLY HIGHLY HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

This is the 1st book in the Savage Duet series featuring the steamy age-gap romance between Jude and Emmie. Emmie's life has imploded she's homeless, jobless and she's on the run from a really bad man who is determined to collect a debt that her father owes from her. When Emmie comes across the horse stables she decides to hide there for a few days. Then Jude finds her in his stables and he's instantly captivated by the naive beauty so he offers to help her out with the bad men in return she has to make a savage deal with him. I don't want to say anymore and ruin it for anyone else with spoilers. This story does end on a cliffhanger so we need to wait for the next book to see what's going to happen. You really need to read this steamy age-gap romance to see what happens. I would recommend reading this book.
