Alexander Court is the pen name of Steve Pieczenik, a psychiatrist who served as a Deputy Assistant Secretary of State in the late 1970s. His medical and State Department background provides the most interesting parts of the novel. This twisting tale of intrigue isn’t much of a thriller; the lengthy expository dialog occurring doing action sequences is beyond belief (damn those bullets – this is important). I wonder what he really has against the Swedes.
