Echoes From The Heart by Sharla Lee Shults took me on a wonderful vacation to a quiet haven and I didn't even have to leave home. It was delightful to settle in with a cup of tea at the end of the day and read these poems that were written with exquisite language in a manner that was easily understood. Some of the titles include, "Images", "Fuzzy Willow", "Calm the Heart" & "This Tear's for You". Buy this as a gift for a friend or, better yet, for yourself. It promises to be a treasure on your bookshelf.
Ms. Shults did a grand job writing her book in a way that those learning to understand poetry can find their way. It is precise and heart felt. I felt that she drew on her own memories which of course is where most authors pull their experiences and writing for others.
I especially enjoyed Silent Words as it spoke to me about my own relationship with some special individuals. After reading the comment made from another reviewer, I decided to lend my copy to a couple of other people to find out how they felt. One was a lover of poetry and two others learning the writings of poetry, finding most too confusing to understand.
Now this opinion and rating include mine and the three other people and each of us had our special poems we all selected as our favorites but in general, we loved the simplicity of Ms. Shults's writing. She should indeed continue to write and share more of those special memories that will talk to us in different ways.
Not all books are for everyone and that is what makes each book written a special contribution to our literary world. If we did not have Indy or self published Authors, we would not have found some of the very best in history. They all start somewhere.
Thank you Ms. Shults for this contribution to the readers of the world and best of luck to you. You can be proud of your penmanship. I have had the honor to read several of your books and blogs enjoying them all. In many ways this book, Echos takes us on a journey through life allowing us to reflect on our own memories. Well done!!
