Haunting Refrain When Sarah Overby found ghosts in her attic she hesitated to tell her best friend, William McKeown. She didn’t think he’d understand. Telling him he lived a previous life as her husband would make him think she was crazy. William has adored Sarah forever, he just doesn’t realize this isn’t the first time he loved her. His feelings for his best friend are changing, but he doesn’t believe in ghosts, reincarnation or lasting romantic relationships. Love, Lust, and Sweet Tea.
I really enjoyed this book and the characters. Accepting that the book will be a bit disjointed in time flow as the characters explore both current and past life- the time line was beyond screwy. The author would describe a series of events happen over several days in a chapter and then in the next talk about the beginning of that sequence as having happened yesterday; it was very difficult to follow. There were several things alluded too (secret treasure and a secretary up to no good- in particular) that we're never actually dealt with or acknowledged and I felt like there were a lot of loose strings and unfinished bits.
That said I really liked all of the characters, I enjoyed their development, and if it weren't for the confusing bits mentions above this would be a five star favorite.
