About the author

Kelley Armstrong

292 books33.5k followers
Kelley Armstrong has been telling stories since before she could write. Her earliest written efforts were disastrous. If asked for a story about girls and dolls, hers would invariably feature undead girls and evil dolls, much to her teachers' dismay. All efforts to make her produce "normal" stories failed.

Today, she continues to spin tales of ghosts and demons and werewolves, while safely locked away in her basement writing dungeon. She's the author of the NYT-bestselling "Women of the Otherworld" paranormal suspense series and "Darkest Powers" young adult urban fantasy trilogy, as well as the Nadia Stafford crime series. Armstrong lives in southwestern Ontario with her husband, kids and far too many pets.

Although the cover art for this novel is a bit repelling and outdated, I assure you the novels are amazing. Kelley Armstrong is one heck of a author and story teller and when it comes to her Woman of the Otherworld novels, you don't get much better than them.

The characters are really likable in this series. The first two novels are featuring Elena and the breath taking Clay. This novel has two novels combined, 'Dime Store Magic' and 'Industrial Magic' which features Paige Winterbourne, Leah and Savannah and Lucas.

If you start this series then you'll be in for the long haul, so if you can get your hands on this, buy it. If not then you will be reading the two separate novels anyway, so why not save money, paper and space?

All in all, this is a worthy series of anyones reads, but if your a fan of paranormal romance and horror, then this is the series for you!

Reading Bitten was enough to tell me Kelley Armstrong was an author I’d become obsessed with. Her Women of the Otherworld series is wonderful, addictive in every way possible. Each story seems to get stronger, each new addition to the series taking things to new heights, and I cannot get enough of the stories.

Personally, I enjoyed this witch section of the series even more than I enjoyed the werewolf section that started the series. Whilst I really enjoyed the first two books, I was positively obsessed with books three and four. There’s just something about the characters in this one that left me with all the feels.

If you’re a fan of paranormal romance and have yet to pick up the Women of the Otherworld series, I certainly suggest you do. It has everything you expect from the genre, and will leave you wanting more. Without a doubt, these books are more than worth the read for any fan of the genre.

Note: you do need to read the books in order, so make sure you go and start with Bitten.

This is the hardback edition of both book 3 and 4 in the Otherworld series. Both were a great intro into the lead characters braching out from Elaba and the pack. I was a bit "put off" not being able to follow Elena, but was very quickly happy with this creative choice. Paige and Savanah's lives are crazy and full of adventure. I loved the new characters amd the bonds between them. Love this series. So we'll written.

I always love whatever Kelley writes. The world just consumes you as a reader and the characters always add something to help progress the story further. It all makes adds to the loose ends at the end of the story.
