This is the companion book to Annuals of Michigan.

I read books about native plants so that when I help plan gardens they stay native. And also the big focus is drawing in the pollinators such as bees and butterflies.

Some of the information is outdated, due to the year is was printed. And this is due to weather patterns changing, hive collapse, and the shrinking habitat of certain species of butterflies.

When growing season come around again try some of there flowers.

Brought an armload of gardening books home from the library. Leafed through all of them, looking for something special and unique, beyond the basic, textbook advice. This one was--by a long stretch-- the best organized and the most useful. Partly, of course, because I live in Michigan, and this was the first time I've seen a comprehensive map of micro-climates and Michigan-specific advice. But there is other, more generic information that is cleverly organized (a list of plants to pinch in June, for example) and beautifully illustrated.

Bought it, immediately. A must-have for MI gardeners.

One of the best gardening books I have seen. I got a copy from the library and then ordered a copy from Amazon. Unfortunately they don't have one for Missouri so I got the one for Illinois. The book is arranged for easy reference and has tons of useful information for gardening.
