This is a really really short story about a future, where tissue regeneration is common and accessible. I liked the little clues in the story how a person would neglect themselves, knowing they can just grow new teeth, or fingers, basically anythings.

In the future, the genetic mutations that activate cancerous cell growth, have been harnessed by science to generate safe and beneficial tissue regeneration. Such as fingers, teeth, limbs and, I assume, little winkies.
Of course, now many people are careless with their health, and engage in reckless activities and smoke and etc.
And of course of course, the fearful fears of anti-vaccinationist still persist.
“The ideal way to deal with a pest, or any menace, is to make it useful to you.”
Published in the 1930s, but set in the future, a patient goes to see his doctor for a cancer vaccine. In that visit, we discover that cell regeneration isn’t only possible, but common. Many don’t take care of themselves knowing how easy it is to replace teeth or fingers.
