Greyfriars Bobby was a little terrier best remembered for his devotion to his owner. When his master died, Bobby maintained a vigil at his grave. Now, Bobby's statue stands guard opposite the gates of the graveyard.
This is basically a pamphlet which summarizes the various iterations of the story of Greyfriars Bobby, a dog who rarely left his master's grave. As I read (via iPad) I kept thinking I was in the prologue...until there was no more! I would welcome an entire new book on the subject.
This looks like the book I read ages ago. Not much to it, but I don't know how it could be much longer. It was an interesting story; enough to inspire me to hunt down the statue in Edinborough and see it for myself.
