Warren is a guide dog with an inflated ego who has always known that he was born with a good heart and destined for great things. A working dog with big responsibilities, his particular views of the world are presented in text together with outstanding illustrations.

This is a gorgous book. Really cute. Warren is a little pup, always getting into trouble, when he meets Eleanor. He becomes very protective of her and learns to ignore distractions. We should all listen to Warren, because although he is only a dog, he has a simple view of how our lives could be improved. And he is right. The world would be a better place.
Craig Silvey the author of Jasper Jones has a picture book here about Warren the dog. Warren featured in the novel Rhubarb, so this is a look through Warren's eyes this time. A Nicely told and illustrated book. Silver continues to impress, I am waiting for another novel from him! In the meantime this will satisfy a little bit. A very good little read.
The World According to Warren is a children’s book by Craig Silvey, but it is a book that adults will also enjoy, especially if they have read his earlier work, Rhubarb. Warren is the guide dog from that book, a guide dog with attitude. This charming book is beautifully illustrated by Sonia Martinez. The littlies can do their own “Where’s Waldo” by looking for Ewan the Hermit Crab on each page. A delight to read for all ages.
An excellent book. There are so many layers to this text, that it would be a great addition to an English or Literacy class. Kids love to look for the visual references related to Eleanor Rigby and to that extent some Beatles song lyrics that are embedded within the illustrations, which work so well with this story overall. Have a read, and you will not regret it!
That was...weird? I think it was supposed to be sad, but everything other than the story itself was funny, even the bits about the author and illustrator and the title page, so I'm not feeling the sadness. Quite a shot from Jasper Jones, though.
