Full-Filled: The 6-Week Weight-Loss Plan for Changing Your Relationship with Food-and Your Life-from the Inside Out

Rate this book
A practical weight loss book for readers inspired by Women Food and God, this unique, transformative guide provides a step-by-step plan that lets readers love themselves slim, sexy, and healthy for a lifetime.

When life coach RenÉe Stephens was diagnosed with chronic fatigue syndrome after a lifetime of obsessive compulsive eating, she realized it was time to make some radical changes in her life. Stephens had tried every kind of diet and weight-loss plan on the market, but it was only when she looked inside and overhauled her spiritual life that she found the solution. Now, for the first time in print, Full-Filled shares the invaluable, breakthrough lessons she learned.

With a six-week program that yields insights every day of the journey, Full-Filled brings readers deep inside their relationship to eating, pinpoints trigger foods and situations, and develops a whole bag of tips, tricks, and self-awareness tools to uncover deeper emotional cravings and find better ways to satisfy their wants and needs without food. In the first and second weeks, readers learn how to motivate themselves for long-lasting change and put an end to self-sabotage. In the third and fourth weeks, they learn the value of “screwing up” and move toward self-forgiveness and self-acceptance. By week five, readers will enjoy eating for pleasure and, in the final week, Stephens helps them put it all together to stay slim and healthy for a lifetime.

Through her Inside-Out weight-loss program and seminars, along with podcasts downloaded more than 3 million times, Stephens has helped countless people free themselves from emotional eating. With Full-Filled, she brings her unique therapeutic approaches and motivational program to everyone who’s ready to lose weight—and keep it off for good.

This book has some good points but I found it annoying. For instance she goes on and on about the power of positive messages and then proceeds to tell you to take a "before" photo and to be sure and make yourself look as awful as possible.

I hate how condescending the book can be. It makes you take a terrible photo of yourself at the beginning, trying to make you feel bad about your old self when you lose the weight. I do like how they do the 10 hunger scales and trying to eat when you are at a 2 in hunger and eat till you are a 4.

Pre-order on Amazon-- this book comes out on Dec. 27th! Though I am not currently trying to lose any weight, Renee Stephens' podcasts (Inside-Out Weight Loss or IOWL) have changed my life for the better. Guided journeys take you into discovering the intricacies of your relationship with food, comfort, worthiness, issues of self-hate and reteach you how love yourself.

This woman changed the way I think about food, my body, and my overall happiness and delight in life.

I am excited to be able to support Renee Stephens' first book, one I hope will change and enlighten the lives of many.

I hope any of my friends who struggle with acceptance of their bodies and eating habits tune into the (FREE!) podcast and then in turn support Renee's mission to end the weight loss struggle by reading her book.

And my little plug for Renee-- I have (without trying to restrict calories OR obsessively work out) lost about 25 pounds over the last year or so. I am kinder to myself. I'm not overly concerned about my weight, but DAMN, I feel good! I love eating naturally, eating my fats, desserts, fruits, veggies, carbs...and never ever overanalyzing my food. I know by listening to my body what it wants and needs, and how to give it that without some crazy "plan".

I AM SO EXCITED ABOUT THIS BOOK!!

About 3+ years ago, I started listening to this podcast that I stumbled upon called 'Inside Out Weight Loss'. I was going to the gym and wanted some motivation to listen to while I was there. This podcast has completely improved my life. I started losing weight, but I wasn't trying! I also know that my relationships with others and with myself has improved because of what I learned from Renee Stephens. I am really excited to finally own her advice in written form.

I recommend this book (and her podcasts) to anyone who struggles with weight and/or self image. Even if you don't struggle with weight, you can apply her advice to all areas of your life. This isn't a book that tells you what to eat or how to exercise. This book shows you how to change your limiting beliefs and let go. Funny how when you let go of the control to do everything right with food that it finally starts to show the right results.
