The Third Crusade

Rate this book
An eye witness account of the campaigns of Richard Coeur-de-Lion in Cyprus and the Holy Land.

Marvellous colour engravings by Raymond Hawthorn. An anonymous chronicler wrote the original in French, possibly Ambois, a Norman trouvere who went with Richard on the Third Crusade. This edition is based on a translation made for the Bohn's Classical Library version in 1848. A vivid account, accompanied by wonderful illustrations.

Good book that appears written in the English of the times, which does cause some problems. Otherwise a good book.
