The New 8-Week Cholesterol Cure: The Ultimate Program for Preventing Heart Disease – Lower Your Cholesterol and Fight Heart Disease with This Proven Natural Program

Robert Kowalski's personal story is legendary. By the age of forty-one, he had suffered a heart attack and had undergone two coronary bypass surgeries. A traditional dietary approach to lowering his cholesterol failed dismally, and faced with the unpleasant alternative of a lifetime on medication, he created a program that proved astonishingly effective for him -- and legions of others worldwide who used it. Today Kowalski has beaten heart disease, lives an unlimited and vigorous lifestyle, and uses no prescription drugs. Now, with new information about risk factors, exercise, and supplements, The New 8-Week Cholesterol Cure is even more powerful in fighting heart disease. It includes: Arm yourself against heart disease-America's number-one killer-and increase your chances for a long, healthy life with The New 8-Week Cholesterol Cure.

This book gave me some good information about how to go about lowering my high cholesterol. I started the niacin treatment, but unfortunately found that I suffer rashes from it and have since discontinued. I plan to use the other information to hopefully lower my cholesterol.

This classic, highly practical guide is an absolute lifesaver for anyone looking to take control of their heart health through a structured, highly manageable timeline. The idea of tackling high cholesterol can feel daunting, but this book cuts through the confusion and provides a clear, proven, eight-week roadmap that genuinely delivers results.

What makes this program stand out is its perfect balance of clinical insight and everyday usability. Instead of relying on extreme measures or unachievable restrictions, the author breaks down powerful dietary changes, fiber-rich choices, and simple lifestyle adjustments into easy-to-follow weekly goals. The step-by-step approach keeps you motivated and accountable, transforming what feels like a massive medical hurdle into small, sustainable daily victories.

The writing is encouraging, authoritative, and deeply rooted in sound science, making it easy to understand the direct connection between your daily habits and your lipid levels. Within just a couple of months of following the advice, you can witness remarkable improvements in both your lab numbers and your overall energy levels.

If you are ready to lower your risk of heart disease, improve your cardiovascular profile, and follow a trusted, time-tested program without immediately turning to pharmaceuticals, this book is an absolute must-read. An effortless five-star rating for a timeless and life-changing resource!

An excellent resource, thoroughly explains a wide range of options for lowering your cholesterol without reflexively jumping to statin drugs. He explains complex treatment options and physiological processes clearly. His personal motivation to take control of his own health (and his success in doing so) makes every chapter engaging. Reasonable and non-info-mercial-like. The only thing I didn't like was that his only real method for losing weight was low-carb ketosis. No thanks. Still, I learned so much about the impact of my lifestyle and have many more options to discuss with my doctor.

Each line expressing his love of life and his family, as well as his enthusiasm for helping people through medical journalism, proved bittersweet since Mr. Kowalski passed away of a pulmonary embolism only 5 years after publishing this book. Sometimes you just can't beat your own genetics. Still a great book.

My doctor had me read this because he thought I was going to have high cholesterol. I didn't, thankfully, because there's no way I'd do what this book tells you to do unless I thought I was going to die.

A friend gave this to me. Blah blah, less carbs, more exercise. Keto-something-or-other.

In summary, take niacin supplements to control your cholesterol. Otherwise, the rest of the book is standard advice on making heart healthy diet choices and exercising.

This was a pretty good book. Similar to "South Beach" except I liked this one better.

“My Liver Hates My Guts,” is the title of a country western tune and reflects my opinion of this book’s cholesterol-lowering program. A big part of Kowalski’s cure, in addition to diet, is mega dosing on niacin in amounts exceeding 100 times more than the minimum daily requirement for adults. To his credit, he issues caveats that go with this practice. I am not comfortable with it at all, however.
