With a meteorologist convention coming to the Inn, business is looking good. But when the town's new computer expert is murdered, Quill and Meg have to make sure the elusive killer doesn't rain on their parade.
I got this book from a used bookstore in town, because I love cozy mysteries. Unfortunately, this book wasn’t it for me. It was cute, but there was just to much in between that didn’t have to be there.
The main characters of the book were great. I am usually a huge fan of character build up, but not their entire life story.
I felt that this store could have had so much potential if it was more about the murder than just outside life of the characters.
The over abundance information of the characters life and past life was a bore to me. There needed to be more excitement and guessing throughout the story.
A body is found in the woods of Hemlock Falls and then Sarah "Quill" Quilliam's car is used to run over someone else. Can this all relate to something the Quilliam sisters witnessed back in their childhood? I am enjoying reading my way through the "Hemlock Falls" cozy mystery series. There's great banter between Quill and her sister Meg plus Quill's love life is always interesting. Great cast of characters too!
A Hemlock Falls Mystery, Bk 9, Claudia Bishop, PB-B @ 2002, 1/08. Sisters, Artist Sarah and Master Chef Meg, run the Hemlock Falls Inn, and have an annoying habit of finding bodies and solving mysteries. Bodies keep turning up and they are all connected to a kidnapping/murder the sisters witnessed when they were young teenagers. Okay.
A fun murder mystery? Yes, actually it was. Cute characters, delicious sounding foods, great setting and all kinds of suspects. This book is part of The Hemlock Falls Mystery series and thoroughly enjoyable.
