I was fortunate enough to make the cut for reviewing this book for R2R after the author Megan Curd offered up a copy to all of us who complained about not being fast enough to make the cut. Oh, by the way in no way does this affects my review…

Just like most who settled into reading Forbidden by Megan Curd; I thought it was going to be another twist to the fallen angel mythology that has so many (myself included) rushing to read. Gees’, was I surprised.

Well, let me be the one to tell you. This is not your typical tale of fallen angel boy meets human girl with all the harps and cords playing softly in the background while their love grows. No, not for Curd, no fallen here only the damned and the human girl and she doesn’t leap for joy for black winged boy. In fact, Hannah doesn’t know what she did wrong to land a demon and not a guardian angel.

Forbidden supernatural love… it’s the story line young adults, parents of teenagers are thriving upon now, and we can't get enough of our wolves, vampires and fallen angels. Well, Curd begs to ask and answer… What about the demons seeking redemption?

I was rejuvenated to come across this supernatural love story with demons and was elated when I discovered some were still in God's good grace.

Over all its a great read for the whole family, a refreshing twist to forbidden love, that not so forbidden and can save many. I can't wait for the story to continue…

Megan Curd delivered a gripping tail that had me hanging on the edge for dear life. I loved it! Filled with swoon worthy male cast, I will be expecting more from this author!!

I picked this book up as a Kindle freebie; I love stories about angels and demons and the premise seemed interesting. Unfortunately, this one didn't work for me.

You can tell this was written by a very new writer. It wasn't badly written per se but it contained awkward sentence structures that interrupted the flow; the book could definitely benefit from professional editing. However, that wasn't the only issue. The story is filled with implausible contrived scenarios and behavior from the characters that are illogical. Also, the characters are supposed to be sixteen years old but behave as if they are much younger - I would say as though they are 12-13 years of age. Hannah, the heroine, was not fleshed out enough and is sort of a caricature of a very young teenage girl. Actually, all of the characters seem like caricatures. Hannah is also a bit flighty, not too bright, and falls into the TSTL category.

The angel mythology was interesting and I did like Levi, the Hero. The pacing was also okay. I think this story had definite potential if it had been fleshed out. To be honest, this felt like it was still in the drafting stages and there had been a rush to get it published before it was ready for primetime.

In any case, the story didn't work for me but it might work for someone else. I suggest you read a sample before making a final decision.

I have to admit that I wasn't sure what to expect when I started reading this book. I knew what it was about and it was my kind of book, but other than that nothing.
The book was a delightful surprise.

I bet everyone has read a book about angels and demons by now, what with the hype over books like Fallen, Hush, Hush and Unearthed (among many many others), and "Forbidden" isn't completely unrelated to them or to the style, but it manages to put a unique feel to it, that really made you want to keep on reading.

Levi is a Guard. Not a Guardian, not a Fallen. He is a human who committed a horrible mistake when he was alive and he got condemned, but not without a chance for redemption, because in the book's mythology, most people get their guardian by their 13th birthday, a creature watching over them till the day they die, but it's not always an angel, a Guardian. Sometimes it is a Guard, a condemned soul who watches over a human, his Call, trying to do well so that he might become an angel, a Guardian.

I thought that was completely genius and managed to interest me because I had never thought of angels watching over us, not being well...angels. Levi is without a doubt, good, though and we know this not because he says so, but because he really tries to and the book is written with his voice. It's his thoughts, his point of view and it feels real, unadulterated and pretty fresh.

I loved the writing style because without being embellished with "grand" words, instead it was simple and elegant in a way that spoke to your heart. Yes, Levi could sound a bit cheesy at times, after all he feel in love with his Call, Hannah, but even he realized when he was being cheesy but couldn't help it. And well isn't this what love is all about? Having feelings we can't help?
It made perfect sense to me.
Right from the start we understand he has a crush on Hannah, even though he hasn't admitted it to himself yet and it's quite endearing.
I loved how the book started right in the action and you found out about what Levi was, the hierarchy and everything gradually and while "running for your life" along with the heroes.

Hannah is still in high school along with her best friend Angie, who is a kind soul, a good person, but no one has told Levi what kind of soul Hannah is and why she is so special. Love is plausible to come naturally for Levi after watching over her every minute of every day for the past three years, but there's a connection and a pull towards her that he feels and makes sense later into the book. Even so, it doesn't come off as rushed or cliche. I really liked it and squealed along with Levi.
Levi was more endearing to me than Hannah, but it wasn't because Hanna isn't likable because she really is. She is wise and collected beyond her years, but she still carries the vulnerability and the sensitivities of being a teenager. I thought she took the news of Levi's nature a little too well for my liking, but she was extraordinary herself, too and as the story unraveled I thought the whole thing was pretty well thought-out and executed.

Angie was really cool too but my vote goes to Ethan who is probably my favorite character in the book. He is gorgeous and he knows it. He is a Guard, too, and Levi's best friend, but he has been doing this for over 400 years already and still he hasn't gotten the chance to earn his white wings yet, which could be frustrating. Still, as we are taught in the book, one has to be patient and it all comes down to everyday choices one makes and it doesn't matter if you are already a Guardian or a Fallen, you can still swing in any direction. Still, Ethan is cocky, vain, stubborn, but also loyal, witty, charming and has a good heart. How could I resist him? :P

Owen, Reina, Clay are some of the other major characters you should look out for, because they, too, are fierce and compelling.

Apparently, Hannah's special nature makes her an invaluable weapon in the hands of good, but a total liability in the hands of evil, so they want to kill her. It's actually her time to pass away, but Levi, disobeys orders and saves her instead, this in turn causes a major flood of events as evil Guards, demon Fallens and others try to kill her while Levi is initially clueless and desperate. How can a lowly Guard save her from everyone? And will he be allowed to? Why does he have feelings not just of love but several others as well after a hundred years? Why are his wings different? What happens when you get bitten by a Fallen? Why do Ethan and Angie keep bitching at each other? Maybe there's something there? Why does Hannah have such special value?

If you want the answer to these questions, READ THE BOOK!!!!

I for one cannot wait for the sequel.

Huge thanks to the author for giving me the chance to review this!!!!

What I liked about it:

Loved Ethan's wisecracks- he was a smartass but also loveable!
I've read the author's first book (from another series) and this time, the writing felt much smoother.
I liked that Hannah didn't fall "in love" immediately.
the story isn't overly long.

I'd have liked it if the author had delved a little deeper into the mythology she had created for this novel.

Reine's betrayal didn't feel like much of a surprise, neither did Angie overcoming her dark side.

FORBIDDEN by Megan Curd was a fresh take on what seems to be a popular idea for writing books these days. Of course...who am I to complain about the books using the supernatural beings for characters....I TOTALLY love them!! However, Megan took the Angels & Demons idea to another level.

FORBIDDEN has so many different twists, it keeps you GLUED to your chair...right on the edge want ing...no NEEDING to know what is going to happen next.

Megan Curd has done an awesome job of spinning a story that gets the reader totally involved in the outcome.

Thank you Megan for allowing me to review your book. I have so enjoyed it!! I know what you are thinking...If I LOVED this book so much....why didn't I give it a 5-Star rating. I only give 5 Stars to books that provide me with some life altering experience.

Megan Curd provided for me a copy of her book FORBIDDEN free of charge for an honest review. Which is what you just got!!

I really wasn't sure what to expect when I initially started reading Forbidden. First off, props to Megan Curd for writing a first person book from a boy's perspective. It's not something that's really intensely seen in novels, so I approve immensely. I believe that I was hesitant to read Forbidden because of the fact that I hadn't been recommended it and I had heard nothing about it at all. The only bit of knowledge that I had about it was from the summary, and I wasn't sure that I wanted to read it at all.

Looking back, I am so glad that I picked up this book. The days that I read it, I had actually fallen asleep while reading it. That wasn't because it was a boring or bad book, but due to the fact that I had stayed up until almost five in the morning, knowing that I had school the next day, just to see what was going to happen next in the book.

Levi intrigued me. I had almost expected him to be a little frustrating and annoying because his initial personality made me assume that he was going to be as such. It was refreshingly surprising to realise that the entire time that I read Forbidden, I didn't find him annoying or frustrating. Instead, I found his character to be one that grew throughout the book and I really enjoyed the way his feelings for his charge, Hannah, changed throughout the book.

My downright favourite character in the story had to have been Ethan. He entertained me and when I feared that something was going to happen to him, I freaked out more than any normal person should ever freak out when it comes to a character in a book. His personality was wonderful, the way he started out with a nonchalant attitude towards the humans and ended up becoming such a wonderful, starting-to-become-kind character. I really hope to see him progressing in the sequel, which I really can't wait to read!

The plot line of Forbidden kept me clinging to it, and I really was glad that it was a book that I hadn't set aside until whenever I was bored. It was a good choice and I would definitely recommend it to someone who was interested in reading a book about angels and rule-breaking from a male perspective, not that it much mattered whose perspective the book was from. It was wonderful and I won't hesitate to reread it sometime in the future.

What if an angel fell in love with a human woman? What if the angel was actually fallen but was trying to redeem himself? What if that angel and his charge were only 16 years old?

Megan Curd poses all of these questions and delivers very engaging and entertaining answers in FORBIDDEN, the first book in a new YA series.

Levi is a Guard, a fallen angel who serves as a guardian angel to a human. He's been one for over a 100 years. He yearns to transform into a Guardian, an actual angel that performs the same function. While the promise of redemption is always there, neither Levi nor his best friend Ethan has ever heard of anyone actually doing it.

But when Levi is told his current Call's time is up, he knows it can't be right. So he does the unthinkable and goes against The Divine Plan. That's when all hell breaks loose.

Curd has created a marvelous, exciting, and readable book. Her characters are a perfect juxtaposition between classic images of divine beings and modern teenagers. Levi has been dead for a hundred years, but he sounds and feels just as young as 16-year-old Hannah, his Call. Ethan is ascerbic and very funny. The dialogue in FORBIDDEN is fun and contemporary. Curd understands how teenagers talk and relate.

She reimagines the Heavenly hierarchy in a way that makes sense and suits her story. She also understands pacing. The book alternates between pulse-pounding action and heartwrenching confessions of love.

Despite being the first book in a series, Curd doesn't leave readers hanging. She wraps up this story nicely while still leaving room for things to pick up in subsequent volumes.

FORBIDDEN is engaging, exciting, and satisfying. It hits all the right notes and leaves the reader wanting more. I can't wait to read more of Curd's books. This one was outstanding.

I received this book as a R2R - as always, thank you so much to the hard working folks that make this possible (authors AND the PNR/UF ladies).

Being a fallen angel is rough. Its even harder when you are actually working for redemption. Levi has his work cut out for him as he works as a Guard - a sort of fallen angel version of a guardian angel- for his Call, a girl named Hannah. There are simple rules Levi has to follow. Keep your Call alive till their appointed time, and don't fight it when their time comes. Don't let them see you. Don't let them touch you. Don't get attached. For some reason...Levi is drawn to Hannah in such a way, for the first time in a hundred years, he's breaking all the rules. Can Levi protect Hannah and survive the consequences?

Pros: Love the twist on the typical guardian angel archetype. This story definitely gives a different perspective on the work that someone in a purgatory like situation can get. Levi is interesting to watch as he transitions from Guard to Guardian. You honestly cannot help but root for him, and for Hannah.

Cons: A little slow at first, but that is most likely just me - the story picked up just fine after that. Hannah, despite her minor moments of questioning, I felt maybe took things a little to easy-going.

Despite that, I think this is a great book. I can't wait to read more of Megan's work in the future.

Another absolutely brilliant book. And an original twist on the Guardian Angel kind of story - definitely not what I expected when I started it, but I'm glad I got the chance to do so. The story takes you through so many turns and throws so much emotion at you that you can't help but to feel for the characters.

Wonderfully written, the pace is again one that you can follow easily, but you don't find yourself getting bored, or wishing it would just be over with. If anything, it makes you want to keep reading and refuse to put it down once you've started. You can't walk away from it for too long, and you definitely end up finding yourself going back to it.

It wraps up nicely at the end, it leaves you with enough questions that you know if and when a second comes out, you'll be getting it, but not enough that you're frustrated and angry with the way it stops. It doesn't just end abruptly, you get a nice, rounded finish.

You can't help but love certain characters, and dislike the ones you're supposed to, and you never know more than the main character, which definitely adds to the suspence of getting to the end. Overall, it's a wonderful read, and I'm excited to know what happens next.

This book is about Levi. He is a guard whose job is to protect Hannah until it is her time to pass. He is doing his job as a guard to try to eventually transition into a Guardian. He became her guard when she was 13. For 3 years he has been in the background watching, making sure she comes to no harm. When Hannah is in Rome on a trip with her school however, she is attacked by a Fallen. Levi comes to her rescue and saves her. He begins to get attached to Hannah even though it goes against all the rules of the Guards. Levi can't stop himself from wanting to be with Hannah. He knows there is something special about her that he cannot give up.

This is an excellent story. I love the character of Levi. He makes a wonderful transition from being someone with no feelings but anger, hate, and jealousy to someone with a heart that is open to love and compassion. The story had lots of action, some romance and was very well written. I would love to read more about Levi and Hannah and how they continue the fight against evil. Thanks for the opportunity to read this. Good job Megan!

5x5 *with some fallen angel hotness thrown in*

I will probably go a little fangirl on this review because I totally fell in love! First off you get not 1 but 2 Fallen hotties *umm squeee* Along with a totally cool Hannah and her bestie Angela and all kinds of fun thrown in.

Levi *swoon* is a Fallen but his job is a Guard. He got too close to his Call Hannah and things start getting good! He cannot feel and yet he starts getting those back with her. Levi is an awesome character you will fall for him instantly, and the whole book is from his POV which is in itself refreshing. I love books from a guys POV!! You get to take his journey with him and his attitude and actions are swoon worthy. I would also like to point out that he is not at all cheesy or flaky!!

Ethan is one badass fallen! he is totally fun to read! He is a snarky smarty pants who just tells it like it is! Some of my fave lines in the book came from him.

The story is just an epic tale and I cannot wait for more of The Guardian Chronicles!!

Review

WOW, Loved it, this book had me gripped from start to finish, Where do we start, well OK we will start with characters, We should start with Levi, our hero (wish someone was watching over me like him, yum yum) the story is told from his point of view, which I think is fantastic, too many books are written from the girls point of view, to have a guys perspective makes a great change, he is 101 year old guard, someone with black wings sent to look after certain souls in their human bodies until it is time for them to leave this Earth, this is where Hannah Gordon (your average high school student) comes in, she was his call, the one he has been sent to look after, unfortunately he seemed to break all the rules where she was involved, then we have Levi’s best friend another guard called Ethan, who seemed to be a bit of a playboy, but that added to his charm, I loved Ethan, he had most of the classic one-liners, he also had an answer for everything, would love to read his story especially what happens from about half way through this book, as he seemed to get more interesting, can’t say too much or I will end up spoiling it for everyone who wants to read it, but believe me he will definitely be worth reading about, then we have Angie, She is Hannah’s best friend and she was Ethan’s call, she was in it as a best friend in the beginning, just a mention here and there, but as the story progressed she had a more important part to play, there were other characters too but these are the main ones, I loved them all, The storyline was loosely based on Angels, I like that, it made a change, If you like winged things or rather people in your stories this is the book for you, The twists and turns that Levi had to go through for Hannah was astounding, could not put it down, just glad it was a sunny day, so the kids could go outside and play, The love that Levi had for Hannah was all consuming and occasionally I felt it made him a-bit wimpyish, but that only happened a couple of times, so it did not alter the story, He told his side, so I would like to believe all boys go through this stage at some point in their lives, We can only wish right girls? I can’t wait for book 2 I hope there will be a book 2 as its Guardian Chronicles, So I really hope there will be more, I am really looking forward to it. I would give this book a 4/5, you will be hooked from the start, Enjoy.

Another brilliant book by Megan Curd,I also ant to thank her personally for providing me with this eBook!

We were engaged in the story the whole time, and devoured every page. The only query I have about this book is to know who actually becomes Angel (either Fallen or Guard or Guardian) when they pass from their human life? Levi keeps on saying that he is dead, and we are told when he died and how, but why was he and the others chosen to be -let's put it as- "divine"? Yes, he died, but what happens to those who do die. Do they become part of them as well? Is it just a select few that move onto "divine" status? This was the only thing that was unclear within the novel. Everything else was astounding. The plot has a good twist to it with the whole Fallen Angel and Guardian Angel baseline. Ok, it was a little predictable that the whole conclusion and big battle we knew was going to happen from the start at the end of the novel happened to fall on one particular day that something big-ish happened in their life

I would have liked a bit more of a drama in the end and a bit more fighting against the bad guys, but it was only a small part (ok, it probably seemed small because of the feverish turning of pages as we quicken our reading pace at the drama). But anyways, it seemed to be too small as everything was basically leading up to that point. I did have some hopes within the novel but then some of these hopes led to shocks on what then happened within the novel.

In the end, I ultimately loved the story and sometimes laughed because we knew the human thing to do in the situation, and then it was done by Hannah. The comments that revolve around "because she's human..." makes it all the more funnier (not bursting into laughing funny, but laughing under your breath funny). We quickly know and connect with Levi, and his status, but we also connect with Hannah as well, because we are human so we understand both sides and come to understand the situation, the ultimately drives us through the book. Sometimes we want to shake some sense into Hannah Cannot wait for the next installment of the Guardian Series!

Review: Forbidden by Megan Curd provided a very different look at "angels". One reason was because it's from a male point-of-view. We meet Levi as he is watching over his human Call Hannah. In the beginning I was unsure of exactly what Levi was. Was he good, evil, or somewhere in-between? He is known as a Guard, but he was not yet a Guardian or a Fallen. Stuck somewhere between where he is responsible for watching over a human during their lifetime and until they pass on.

Levi was a fascinating character because I could see how much he wanted to stick to the rules of the Guards. Even though it seemed that a force was pulling him towards Hannah, he didn't want to jeopardize her future or his own. Then, he learns that something is after her and it is supposed to be her time to go. Even though Levi has been a guard for a very long time, he just can't see how he can let Hannah go.

This dilemma throws him into a battle to figure out more about Hannah, and more about his own world. It took me a little while to get into this story but once I did, I was hooked. But it wasn't just Levi who helped capture my attention. My favorite character was his friend Ethan. Ethan was absolutely hilarious! Right after he came up with a fabulous nickname for Hannah (BOB--I'll let you find out why), I knew I was in love. Plus, his human Call just happens to be Hannah's best friend Angie. They are thrown together, without true intention from either one of them, and their back and forth banter really brought life to this book. Even though Ethan tried to be "big and bad" he had a soft side too.

The action in this book was intense! Megan did a great job detailing the creatures (good and bad) and slowly unraveling the puzzle of their world. The bond between the characters felt real and I am looking forward to seeing what happens to them next.

Forbidden puts a fun spin on the paranormal and Megan created a group of unlikely friends that will easily capture your heart.

This book is from a male point of view, quite different I’d say than the female pov that I am more used to reading in the paranormal genre. I enjoyed it, Levi is a guardian, not a guardian angel but a guardian with black wings who is considered ‘damned’ and is given a ‘call’ who name is Hannah. He ends up falling in love with her, and is helpless to resist it. His best friend, whose name is Ethan- also a guardian, tries to help him out throughout this ordeal. You see, falling in love and interacting with humans is forbidden, and there are forces of heaven and hell that will do anything to stop Hannah from surviving and throwing the balance of good and evil way off.
I can’t say I’ve read too many angel books and this one had some gritty originality to it. It was frustrating that the beginning was a little choppy and some of the tangents in the story made little sense until further into the story. Otherwise, it kept my interest, was fast paced and had so many twists-I was almost getting quite tired of them. Nevertheless, it makes for an intriguing story. I love how Megan Curd creates another version of the hierarchy of heaven and hell that makes perfect sense for the most part. I don’t particularly like the heroine Hannah-some of her actions made no sense and she seemed almost non-extraordinary to me. Made me wonder what it was that Levi saw in her besides her being a ‘pure soul’. I loved Ethan, his witty lines and sarcasm was fresh and extremely funny. I would love to see what else is in store for Levi and Ethan, they make an awesome duo.
Megan Curd definitely has the supernatural world in her hands, her intense story telling is definitely not your run-of-the mill kind and I highly recommend her books. I will be reading the next book in the series.

Forbidden To You

You’re forbidden but I can’t seem to resist you . . .

In the first ever book I’ve read that was solely one point of view by a male protagonist, first off Megan did a great job writing from a male’s perspective and while we’re still waiting for a sequel of Forbidden, you can read her other books/series Bridger.

Ok now you know what it’s about, it has the vibe of Angels, Guardians, and out of this world mythical creatures. Now I’m a huge fan of theme that deals with Angels, Guardian and such so that why it only took me two day to read this book. If you’re looking for these type of books, some I would recommend are Hush Hush series by Becca Fitzpatrick, Kissed by an Angel series by Elizabeth Chandler, and the Mercy series by Rebecca Lim.

Levi is a Guard, watching his Call (Calls are people a Guard has to protect until it’s their time to go) But Levi’s job got a lot harder when one girl seems to be attacked non-stop[ as restless Levi gets, he knows it his job . . . no matter how much he hates it. With a help of his buddy, they both fight Fallens, and worst . . .Hunters. Just when it was time for Levi’s Call Hannah to die, he stops it from happening therefore upsetting the balance between good and evil. Evil wants Hannah dead and Levi has to find out why they want her dead but also why he’s so attracted to her . . . No why he’s completely in love with her.

There was a lot of 180 degree turn in this book, which was great it kept you on edge thinking “Now What?” “How was this possible?” scenarios. I love everything about this book, and had a few flashback memories of high school.

Forbidden was a surprisingly good read or me. Surprising because, even though this is a book about angels it constructs a unique hierarchy that is easy to understand.

The story is told in the first person from Levi’s point of view. I found it refreshing to have a guy tell the story for a change. Levi is a Guard and his “Call” or his assignment, so to speak, is to watch over Hannah. There are many things that are forbidden for a Guard to do and somehow and without meaning to, Levi breaks the rules. What happens next is an incredible ride, packed with unique characters, action, and an introduction of the world of the Guardians. Hannah is stubborn, curious, brave, beautiful and good, and her life is turned upside down by a fact that is not her fault. I think Levi and her make a really good couple.

As I mentioned above the characters in the book are amazing. Besides Levi my favorite characters is Ethan. Oh boy! He is handsome, cocky, egocentric and rude, but he is so funny and he is loyal to the end. I can’t wait to see what happens next with him! Angie is a conundrum and the dialogue between her and Ethan is priceless! I trusted Clay right away and I hope he makes a good mentor for Levi.

The story is very original as well as the angel lore with its hierarchy and rules. Ms. Curd’s writing is easy to read, well-paced and flows nicely. As you can see I really enjoyed Forbidden and cannot wait for its sequel.

About the cover: Of course the angel in the cover is what the book is all about. I like the play of the light and dark, a symbol for the good and bad (and maybe even gray!)

As paranormal romance with a different twist, written from the perspective of the male lead character Levi, Megan Curd has given Forbidden a refreshing new look to this young adult genre.

It’s not very often you find a novel written from the male perspective and this one does a bang up job of bringing Levi, a fallen angel, to life. Levi, against all rules, falls in love with his human charge which could endanger his century old dream of moving up to the rank of Guardian. As these young characters struggle with new friends, strange occurrences and life threatening battles, the reader becomes captivated begging for more.

The different characters in this novel are so well described you can actually imagine them standing in front of you, or sitting in a tree outside your window. Fallen with glistening black wings, Guardians who glow white light, and gruesome Hunters who prey on their counterparts and their charges.

This book will keep you reading, page after page, well into the night. I look forward to the next book in the Guardian Chronicles.

There are things that go bump in the night. Is it your Guardian watching over you, or a Hunter come to claim their prize?

With its unique and unexpected twist on a Guardian Angel story, “Forbidden” held my interest well from the start. Pacing was good, and easy to follow, with enough action as well as down time to keep you from getting bored. Without extraneous characters to bog the story down, there was room for more depth and emotion from the main characters. The secondary characters all add something to the storyline, which is great after reading books with dozens of characters to keep straight that add very little to the plot or meaning of the story.

I enjoyed reading from the point of view of a ‘teen-aged’ male character, rather than the usual focus on the teenage girl that so many YA authors favor today. I am very glad that I gave this book a chance!! This was the first book I had read by the author, Megan Curd, but it will not be the last!

This book is a YA Fantasy. It is the story of Levi, a Guard (kind of like a guardian angel for the dark side) and his Call, Hannah. Levi's job is to keep watch over sixteen year old Hannah until it is her time to die.

This story tells us what happens when a Guard breaks all the rules because he thinks they are wrong. There is a great deal of imagination about the workings of Heaven and Hell, as well as normal teen angst, lots of action and teen romance too.

It is pretty fast paced and kept my attention all the way through. I couldn't wait to find out how Ms. Curd was going to end it. I enjoyed it.

...It was the first time she'd seemed peaceful since this entire fiasco began. I felt so bad for everything I'd put her through. Was it right of me to keep her past her time?...
"I won't leave...I will stay beside you and watch over you until the end of time, no matter what the cost." Levi

I praise Megan Curd. This was an awesome read. Wonderfully romantic. Original storyline. What a description of characters, events and places!! I loved it and I am waiting to see what happens next. Must read!!

Very good indeed. I was pleasantly surprised with this story line. In fact, I wish it had been a lot longer.:) Like Megan's other novel, Bridger, this book is intended for a younger audience. It's almost a shame. Older characters would have allowed for steamier romance scenes which would have kicked things up a couple of notches. But that may not be this author's style. That aside, I'd reccomend this book to any young reader out there.

What drew me in most about Megan Curd's Forbidden was that it was told from a male perspective. I loved the voice that she created for Levi--it truly felt like I was in his head. The story was gripping, and I liked the dynamic between characters. Ethan was hilarious and kept me laughing throughout the entire book. The concept was intriguing and I found myself rooting for Levi and Hannah, even though their love was something that had been forbidden for centuries. A great read!

I loved the plot of this book.Megan did an amazing job creating the story from the point of view of a male. I found myself being able to predict a lot of the book, and there were times where i felt like things could have been written a bit better. (Awkward parts) All in all, i loved this book, and would have everyone read it at least once!

This was a fun read! My fave part was how the characters interacted with one another, and let's not forget the hot angels ;) I've got the next book on my TBR list.
