Caught Up In Drama

Rate this book
Amari is a dime piece loving the luxurious life provided by her hustlin' boyfriend, Daryl. It's not until she finds herself pregnant and abandoned that she realizes how truly alone she is in this world. But just when she thinks she's hit rock bottom, she discovers a light at the end of the tunnel in the charming, Corey. Amari thinks she's finally found the happiness that's eluded her, but she quickly realizes no one is perfect. Amari's riveting journey reveals the pain, passion, betrayal and eventual maturity that she is forced to deal with. Though we may not like to admit it, we've all encountered our fair share of drama, whether we're dishing it out or falling victim to it, we've all been CAUGHT UP IN DRAMA!

unFOOLish/FOOLish

Amari is sweet sixteen, experiencing her very first love, shopping with her girl and enjoying the day to day of being that chick. A pastor's kid, Amari is the only daughter of four. The life Amari has grown to love takes on a drastic change as she decides that the love she and Daryl shares has ripened enough for the next level.

Daryl is the all star in school and in the streets of Hotlanta. He's making a rise in the hood and his main chick is moving on up with her man, or is she? Afraid to admit that he might have made a mistake, Daryl steps to the next girl and he feels the effects of his decision. Is he man enough to side step the haze?

Corey is trustworthy, sweet, loyal, and not to mention handsome. When Amari realizes that life may be against her, it's Corey that comes through like a knight with a rescue plan.
Caught by surprise, Corey is no longer able to mask his feelings. Is it being facilitated?

Latifah Sanchez first novel, Caught Up In Drama, is not only the best title, but it captures all the pangs associated with first love experiences.

If It Ain't One Thing

At the center of this tale stands Amari, a sixteen year old beauty at a critical point in her young life.

Have fun at school. Become a cheerleader. Kick it with your friends. Spend time with your man. Shop until you drop. Nowhere in life's equation did Amari add get pregnant or subtract her man. But that's just what happens. Amari's house of cards comes crashing down at the very moment she needs someone the most. Alone and scared, Amari must make decisions that will affect her future and the life of her unborn child.

As the book progresses, Amari must turn inward as she deals with her changed world.

But how can you get ahead when you are always caught up in drama?

"Caught Up In Drama" was very easy to dive into. Author Latifa Sanchez lays out a familiar storyline with her own extra added twists and turns. "Caught Up In Drama" is a solid debut effort from a promising author. I look forward to more drama in Book Two of the Drama Series.
