Filled with articles on Italian history and culture and written in Italiano. Keywords and phrases are translated in the margins and each section has a comprehension review.

Loved that the translations were on the same page so I'm not constantly flipping back and forth between pages. Just right for my beginner's reading ability. I skipped around and read mostly articles that seemed interesting to me.

This is a fantastic book for those of us intermediate language learners who are past the point of learning vocabulary and short sentences in DuoLingo, but not quite ready for major novels with a lot of slang or difficult sentences. It was challenging but educational, informative and interesting, and many of the articles reminded me of the many many things I love about Italy and Italian culture.

As a note, I spent 8 months in Italy (seven years ago) learning Italian at an Italian language school. I was certified at level B1 (CELI) and reached C1 by the time I left but have lost a LOT of the language in recent years with no one to practice with. Hopefully that helps anyone wondering what level language learner this might be good for!

A great book for practising Italian with interesting little articles accompanied by a glossary on each page and an audio CD of some of the articles.
