After the women get home, they move full speed ahead with Aleesha's wedding plans. However, they discover the sexy men of Sin City are not so prone to let the weekend’s happenings stay in Vegas. BRIEF SUMMARY Aleesha meets Marcus at a conference 3 years ago in Las Vegas. She has not seen him since she has returned to Atlanta. Now back in Las Vegas with her two best friends Jerra and Keshia at her bachelorette party, she is in for a shock when she meets Marcus again.
THOUGHTS
I might sound a bit melodramatic, but words cannot express how good...this book was. Get the kids to bed, go to your bedroom, close the door, and indulge. This book deserves a double rating of 10*****stars. It had deceit, secrets, very hot steamy sex, best friends, and one amazing bachelorette party.
What the author did by combing all the characters within the story created the appeal of the book. I think if it involved one couple, it wouldn't have the same effect. The book started out showing a perfect relationship between Aleesha and Amir, her fiancé; by the second and third chapter, nothing is, as it seems. Though there were three best friends, Aleesha, Jerra and Keisha, the story focuses on Aleesha and Jerra's story and everything that happens in Vegas and back home in Atlanta. Let me say, between Aleesha and Jerra's story there was never a dull night in Vegas or Atlanta with the men they met.
Aleesha and Marcus heated up the pages, as they got familiar with each other again. Marcus definitely surprised me with both his professions, but I loved it very much and it made the story interesting. In addition, I was a little disappointed with what Aleesha was doing in Vegas, but it’s sin city. Towards the middle of the story, I was all for it, and it was worth it, especially with what took place with Amir. Jerra and Darrell's story was spicy and good. I think their story almost dominated Aleesha and Marcus' storyline. Their chemistry from start to finish was so... good, and did I mention how sexy and yummy Darrell is *fainting*. I also wanted to point out, while they were in Vegas, the name of the drinks they kept drinking had a life of its own; I was loving the names of the drinks.
This book had a lot of explicit sex and graphic language, but I think the author still manages to give us a plot that allows us to read two different situations and stories, and not make the book just about sex. The author is SK, and I have never read anything by him or her, but it felt as though the author let loose, had fun, and gave a good fantasy within the book. I am in the process of reading book two, and can't wait to read Keisha's story and read more about Aleesha and Jerra. I also wish I knew more about the author and any upcoming books.
Story: GOOD Intimacy: D.R.I.P (Don't Read In Public) & Off the charts GOOD Enjoyment: GOOD Kindle length: 3017 & worth every penny of $0.99
This was on my TBR for a bit and I'm glad I finally got a chance to read it. What happens in Vegas stays in Vegas...or does it? This story was a great read with multiple characters dealing with the consequences of untruths. I'm looking forward to finishing the series.
Okay so here is the deal. This was my first time reading any books from this author. This book was suggested and so I said.. Hey let's read the damn thing.
Now.. (Please note that it is 5 am and I am laughing my ass off trying to type this review) I have never laughed so hard at some of the antics carried on in a book... I am sure most thought the um.....(Trying to keep this spoiler free for those who haven't read it.. but hell these jokers pop up pretty quick so.. oh well) "exotic dancers" were HOT and let me be the first to advise it really was... The scene was so detailed it was like watching a movie but for some reason I think male dancers are hilarious, so as the action played out I was laughing so hard for a couple of reasons.. oh don't worry you know I am going to list them.
1. These women were acting like they would find world peace between these dancers legs.. and the way the author described them... they probably could provide a lot of **Cough** peace in the world LOL!
2.The names for said dancers... boyyyy that thing tickled me!
3.. Okay this is really not a reason but if I had to pick one.. I think eclipse had the greatest intro BWAHAHAHAH okay okay I am done.
Alright Alright back to the review.. I enjoyed the relationships with the ladies, they don't make bestfriends like that anymore. Actually if you sit and think about your group of friends you will quickly realize that everyone has an Aleesha, Jerra and a Keisha in the group...( Advising which one I could relate too would be telling.. and I ain't telling LOL) the author did a great job with giving us (The readers) different personalities in each character which made at least one of them easy to relate too.
This seems simple but I am also glad the author paid attention to detail.. The men were in fact strippers be it part time or full time and I am glad that the author made sure to detail the usage of condoms... you have no clue to how many times I have read a book and those tiny details are left out... bugs the hell out me.
Now to wrap it up.. I enjoyed the growing of Aleesha and Marcus as well as Jerra and Darrell. It was also heartbreaking to read about Jerra's back story.. I didn't know it would be heavy towards the end but it handling nicely.
So.. why 4 stars and not 5. Welp.. simple for me I found myself wanting to know more about Aleesha and Marcus because when I started this book they were more the focus in the beginning, now the story switched back and forth nicely but I would have preferred to have the option of reading Marcus and Jerra's story but you don't really have a choice because they were so intertwined into the story. I actually found myself at one point wanting to know more about Darrell and Jerra and forgot about leesha and Marcus. To put it simple.... I couldn't decide on which set of folks I wanted to pay more attention too.
And here we are at the end of this long review... not because I am done typing but because it's already hella long.
Oh my goodnessssssss.....How in the world did this series get pass me by sitting on my Kindle for far too long!!!!!!
Author S.K. has created a world of What Happens in Vegas, Stays in Vegas but clearly "Buried Secrets" Book 1 didn't get the memo which I just love.
A bachelorette party in Las Vegas for Aleesha given by her two best friends Jerra and Keisha turns out to become more than what either of them bargained for. It becomes a weekend where nobody will walk away the same. Lives are changed and challenged, once doors are opened they can never be closed. Secrets that people believe are buried will come rushing swiftly to the surface of light.
The bachelor Amir Montgomery seems to be the epitome of perfection. He is smart, good looking, sexy, established and wealthy businessman, ex pro football player and has a beautiful and smart fiance that he is about to marry within a few short weeks. But often times what looks so shiny and sparkly on the outside is really, a well worn rusted and dead car.
Aleesha met Marcus in Las Vegas 3 years earlier at a medical conference and what began as a conversation on how boring it was, left to both of them to hanging out together for the rest of the day. Where they agreed to meet up at the dinner banquet. Marcus never showed and Aleesha goes home once the conference is over both believing they would never see each other again. But oh how the fates had other ideas and three years later these two come face to face once again.
Jerra the best friend of Aleesha and Keisha. She is the lawyer extraordinaire, beautiful, business savvy and seems to have everything all together but a deep, dark and painful secret keeps her on the sidelines of never ending pain.
Darrell aka Eclipse many believe that he is just this amazing male exotic dancer who has taken Vegas by storm. Little do people know but for a few is that he is an successful business. With a broken and shattered heart, that know one else knows about but his best friend Marcus.
And here is the beginning of the "Sin City Secret Series" by Author SK that will send you into a world that is non stop, heart pounding and on the edge of your seat. Thank goodness that all of the books are out right now LOL!!! Clearly I would have fainted if I had to wait for Book 2.
I blindly purchased this book 2 years ago based on word of mouth at how great the series was. The one thing I hate is the time wasted not reading it sooner it was absolutely amazing. In just the first couple of pages the story had my mind messed all messed up.
I found myself wanting to beat Amir and kiss Marcus. But Darrell had me feeling some type of way with his alpha male self. The book was very well written and had enough drama to keep you wanting more.
Whatever you do don't sleep on this series. A mistake I will not make again, I have a new favorite author to add to my list. I would highly recommend this series and author to anyone who will listen.
I have had this book on my kindle for a while and not sure why I had not read it. So I started the New Year off right with this one!! It was HOTTTTTTTT!!!!! SK did that! This book had me up late at night reading. I had to go ahead and buy the next book in the series. Definitely recommend this to other readers of erotica.
I found this to be a nice urban fiction love story full of lust, lies, betrayal and hope.

What happens in Vegas stays in Vegas…
Or does it?
When you, by chance, meet that person who you think just might be “the one”, do you listen to your head and play it safe - or open up your heart and hold on tight for the ride of a lifetime...?
Three years ago, Aleesha met Dr. Marcus Bennett at a conference in Las Vegas. The brief hours they spent together were positively scorching - and the man had yet to kiss her! Due to circumstances beyond their control, they never got the opportunity to explore the attraction simmering like a low burning flame waiting to be ignited. I had the pleasure of personally meeting this Louisiana Author a week ago at an event we both were showcased at. I being a native of Louisiana love to meet local authors while doing events all over the state. SK is a gentle soul with a great smile and personality to match. This is the first book I've read by Author SK but most definitely won't be the last. I am a fan! The storyline is attention-grabbing that keeps you wanting more. Sensual, seductive and saucy are three words I will use to describe the impression Buried Secrets gave me. If you are looking for a romance novel with sexual flare, this is one for you!!! The characters are well-developed. Their stories are relatable and you find yourself right there on each page with them. Kudos SK...job well done. I am on to the next book in this tantalizing series. #LouisianaAuthorsRock
Author SK should hold her head up proudly when she tells people she authored this book. Buried Secrets was great! The characters were real and believable, the drama on point but no intellectually insulting and the storyline flowed seamlessly. I haven't devoured a book this quickly in a while and it was well worth the effort. My favorite characters had to be Marcus and Darrell..I like Keisha too cause she was down to earth..It took a while for Jerra to grow on me, but I liked her too in the end. Aleesa was my girl in this one. She didn't do stupid stuff to make me look at her cross-eyed, but she held her own. My only disappointment? I have no clue when SK is going to grace us with part 2 and answer the rest of my questions about Marcus and Aleesha! FIVE STAR READ ALL DAY!!!
This is some of the hottest erotic I have read in a while. The sex scenes in this book were simply off the chain. While reading them you think you are actually a participant because they are just that good. The actual story telling was really good as well. The story with Amir and Aleesha made an unexpected turn which was a delight. Aleesha and Marcus had some amazing chemistry, and Darryl and Jerra super hot. Those two will have you squirming in your chair. This is a must read.
This was a very good read. The sex scenes were very visual and keep you reading for sure. If you're going to have best friends you definitely want them to be like these three women. I enjoyed the entire book but was not able to give it five stars because even though I was happy with the turn out of Jerra's life I was disappointed that the entire book tied you to Aleesha and then left you with no exciting ending for her.
This novel was a very well-thought-out story about three girl Friends of which one was about to be married and the other two decided they were going to give her a bachelorette party in sin city that's right Los Vegas unfortunately not everything that happened in Vegas stays in Vegas.
Lordy, I am not finished with this book but I had to take a break to say that this one is burning in my hands...lol! OMG, sizzling hot this one is!!! The brothas are putting it down ladies!
Buried Secrets was recommended by a fellow reader in a group we're both a part of. I am so thankful for the suggestion. The story focuses on two main couples... Man on man! The story was packed with a lot of meat and potatoes sustenance. What do I mean by that? Well...the story has two heroines and two heroes. Meaty.. Both stories have so much substance that its filling.. Potatoes..Both Aleesha and Marcus's story, as well as Darrell and Jerra's story started with a trip to Vegas. The two sets of best friends began a relationship after what happened in Vegas that did not stay in Vegas... And just so its clear about the meaty part, some of the love scenes were panty dropping hot.. Listen up and hear me out. I'm not throwing shade on this well told story, but a few times the story was a bit winded. With that said, overall the story was meaty and oh so fulfilling story.. Pun intended!
It's good. I enjoyed the book. I would recommend it though the story started off as if it was about Aleesha but took a sudden turn to Jerra. A good twist I guess. Overall I enjoyed the book and I would recommend it
Aleesha is about to get married to a former football star, Amir Montgomery and she can not wait. Her friends have an explosive weekend planned for her bachelorette party.
So, they hop on the plane enroute to Vegas, Sin City.
While in Vegas celebrating, Aleesha and Dr. Marcus Bennett reconnects after three years. Dr.Marcus refuses to let Aleesha walk out of his life again and is determined to make her realize that while she is there. Aleesha on the other hand can't believe that after all of these years, she runs into Marcus again. The last she remembers, he left her high and dry.
A few times, they push the limits but Aleesha is committed to being with Amir, happily ever after or at least she thinks so until the night the dancers aka strippers show up for the party of her life. This night, Aleesha makes a decision and there is no turning back.
Will Amir find out what happens in Sin City? Does Aleesha uncovers Amir own "buried secrets"? Is there a happily ever after?
You will have to one-click to find out what happens next. SK brings the heat and I look forward to reading more from this author. The character development and storyline is on point.
They say what happens in Vegas stays in Vegas but that isn't always the case, especially when the sin is too sweet to resist. Aleesha is soon to be married to the man of her dreams, so her girls, Jerra and Keisha make it their mission to throw Aleesha a last shebang as a single woman in Vegas. There, Aleesha comes a** to d*ck with the sex pot, Marcus who wants to reignite a flame. The uptight Jerra lets her hair down for no one but just maybe an Eclipse can shift her mood. Nothing is off limits in this city of sin but when the trip is over and secrets get revealed, these women will see that the saying should have been, 'what happens in Vegas, stays..with you.'
Rating: 5*
I really enjoyed this storyline. I liked the development as well as the perplexity of each character. Its like who they seem to be, they really aren't in terms of demeanor and personalities. I loved the drama and the little twist and turns of the plot that added dimensions to the main characters.
I first read the Sin City Heat Series eight years ago. I had reread my favorite books in the series several times, but late never this one. So, I decided to reread the entire series.
Darrell and Marcus, stripper/dancers on the side, meet Jerra, Aleesha and Keisha at a bachelorette party for Aleesha in Las Vegas. The ladies and their other friends are from Atlanta. Jerra and Darrell are attracted to each other and so is Marcus and Aleesha.
The plot is not well developed because of the overly graphic, descriptive, erotic sex. Still, you get back stories on Darrell and Jerra and realize that this will be an excellent series because of the secrets yet to be revealed. The sex is a little more than erotic, yet the promise of an excellent series overcome it.
Darrell and Jerra reveal parts of their secrets to each other but withhold others. What secrets are Marcus and Aleesha keeping. What about their girl, Keisha?
Wow! This was a great book...I don't really know where to start...I had never read any books by SK...but I think I will be adding this author to one of my favorites...I was not sure I was gonna like this book...but the spin that it had and the direction it went in...flowed perfectly....THe men in this book were HOT & successful...The author did a really good job with the characters and the story line...I did not see the story about Darrell & Jerra coming..I thought it was gonna be mostly about Marcus and Aleesha..but this author definitely fooled me...This book is a must read...I was impressed by all..the story line...the chemistry with he characters and the whole flow of the story...I definitely recommend this book..I look forward to reading more by SK!
I originally bought this book because I couldn't believe it had so many 5 star ratings. I wanted to see if it would live up to the hype, I honestly didn't think it would but I must say that I totally enjoyed it. I like the three best girlfriends that were strong and were not over the topsteroid of control with the way they acted towards each other or other people around them. I also appreciated the author letting the women get their own sexual pleasure just as men are always written to do. The sex was pretty hot.
So, I am joining the club and giving it 5 stars too because it was a good read from beginning to end.
It took a while for me to get into the book. Took me longer to read the chapters, but other than that. This book was how can I say this, one of the best books I have read. SK, introduces everyone so eloquently without overstating the character, SK gave what is needed during the time you needed. The way the story lines are written it will keep you very interested. Aleesha, Jerra and Keisha are very relatable to the point you can understand them. Marcus, Darryl and Dominique are just say they have the personalities of every type of man you can come across except for weak and unattractive.. You will love the first two books in the series. I'm on book 3 so enjoy.
I loved the chemistry and flow of this book. It was excellent. What happens is Vegas is suppose to stay in Vegas, but sometimes Vegas is too hot be contained in one spot. That's how I would describe Aleesha and Marcus. I wanted them together from the first dance. I thought Amir was a good guy, but that changed quick. Aleesha was quick and decisive I like that, no back and forth. Jerra got on my nerve until I discovered why she acted the way she did. Darrell was a true alpha male personified. A definite must read!!
