I'm not one to read a book due to some massive ADD issues. I've never been one to be able to wrap my mind around the written word or sink my teeth into it's binding. When I received this book, however, it was different. I sat down to read a chapter. One chapter turned into half of the book. In less than 24 hours I devoured it. Ema writes so beautifully. She gives the reader an opportunity to truly connect with and to find similar parts of themselves within each character. When I reached the last page I remember thinking "Really? I need more of this book". Love love love love it!!!

A superbly chilling read!! The spellbinding Pravus takes you on a rollercoaster journey of love, life and friendship. Transport yourself into a wonderfully gruesome and magnificently descriptive world that you won’t want to leave.

I am far from ashamed to say that Pravus has become my favourite bedtime companion, an inspirational text that I literally cannot put down. If marriage to books were not frowned upon, I’d have Pravus up the aisle faster than, something inexplicably quick; like a squirrel in a trailer park.

Ema Arius is a gifted writer, with a glittering career ahead of her. If you only ever read one book this year, make sure it’s the dark and mighty Pravus. 10/10

Expect the UNEXPECTED! Arius did a wonderful job, I wasn't able to put Pravus down at all when I recived my copy! There were so many twist and turns in the plot that you didn't even expect to happen, it kept me on my feet and don't forget what amazing foreshadowing! You can't help falling in love with the characters, especially with mysterious Damian, the evil, souless demon who has his mind and heart set on Marie. though, there is still the question of why he chose her, but I think I understand why. There was plot whole here or there but overall it was good.

Anyway, from one book, you can tell Arius is one very talented author and is sure to have a good career a head of her in this industry b/c one this is for sure, after you finish reading Pravus, you're left definitely wanting more!

At first I thought, wow this is moving fast. Killing, demons, immortals all running around in the first couple of pages. I wondered how the author could keep up that kind of pace. No problem! It just gets better. All of that action is the set up to the story, one of good and evil existing in everyone. I have always thought that everyone had it in them to be evil if pushed and to be good, even if you are evil. A true love story between evil and good. I loved it!

I read this book at a friends house a couple of days ago and I just had to enter to win the book and I did.

This is a really good book. It's very refreshing and it's eveything a teen romance should be.

A true love story between good and evil.

I think people will either love it or hate it. Very fast paced. Thought it dove into the story very fast, but on a good side it grabs your attention. All the people dying in the beginning I was afraid wondering where it was going but it had a purpose. It really showed how evil and merciless the heartless demon leader (Damian) is. Then the tender moments to show even though he's a monster he loves.

I noticed this book had lots of underlying things happening in the background. I thought that was really cool. You can see a bigger picture coming forward. I noticed the character Kain was multiple characters throughout the book. I wondered if he's the reason certain things happened to Marie, like at the beginning when she hears someone calling her name, her visions, and what happened at the library. Each time Marie was lightheaded and dizzy, which for people who know about the supernatural know that's when a spirit's trying to get in your head. I also noticed he was trying to hide how powerful he was from Damian for some reason.

All in all I really liked it. I didn't want it to end. I can't wait to read the next part of this series.

This was an interesting science fiction book. The character falls in love with a guy who ends up being an former prince who has come back to life. He is very violent with everyone but her. I would definitely recommend it.

This was one of the best books I have read in over a year! I loved how the author made you feel like you were there with her and the picture she painted, you could feel the emotions of each character! I finished it in 2 days, and normally it takes me months to read a book! You could feel the sadness, romance and pureness of it all! I highly recommend it to all of my friends! I even bought a second hard copy for myself, couldnt get enough! Cant wait for more books to come! She is a brilliant author!

I really liked this book. It was very fast paced, and it started a little too quickly, but you really did catch up with the characters. Not sure I agree with the basis of the romance, but with the suspension of disbeleif, it worked out okay. It did leave some unanswered questions, so, hopefully, there will be more to come!!

I will never forget the first time I picked it up. I couldn't put it down. It sparked my interest right away. It keeps you intrigued. I couldn't put it down. I think I read it in one sitting. It is still probably one of the best books I've ever read.

Ok so I totally thought this book was going to be good just reading the initial reviews and the quick synopsis on the back. Man, what a let down this was for my October reading frenzy.

Let's start with I absolutely hate the writing style in this book. The story took off immediately as though I knew the characters and I was thrown into a story line that made no sense. Then not even 30 pages into the book people are dying left and right with no explanation, (main character) Marie has fallen for the "evil one" Damian, and I still haven't grasped the plot. Ok I should probably elaborate more on the Marie and evil guy part. Can anyone explain to me how you meet someone (who turns out to be a stalker and liar) and despite the fact that he's killing everyone insight including your best friend, you have time to notice that he's attractive and you want to get to know him better, you even think (immediately) that you all have something special. There was absolutely no build up for any of the drama in the book. I couldn't even connect with the people until the book was nearly finished. After pushing myself halfway through the book (because I was determined to finish hoping it would get better) the author begins jumping from one character point of view to another even if they're in different scenes, which of course makes the reader feel lost ( or like I had ADD reading this). I finally got to the part for why Damian "the evil one" was killing everyone but I still couldn't understand Marie and her silly choices for wanting to be with him. Their love story should have been build upon a lot better than it was.

In all I never connected with the main character or any of the characters for that matter. However, the story line did to get better and I'm somewhat interested to find out what will happen next. Maybe I can get the cliff notes version, because I would not recommend anyone reading this book.

(Sorry Liz)

I heard from a friend that this book was amazing. Luckily I was able to order a copy straight from the publisher, Tate Publishing. I'M GLAD I DID. I absolutely could NOT put this book down until I finished reading it. It was SO addictive! As much as I tried I just couldn't put it down... I had to bargain with myself to actually stop so I could go to sleep! The story is fabulous and full of substance. The characters are well thought out and perfectly complex. It kept me on the edge of my chair from beginning to end. This is a MUST. Period. I can't wait for Ema's next work!

A Must Read - Highly Recommended!!!
Magical, Captivating, Fun, Scary, Romantic! The strong characters in this book pull you in quickly and keep you wanting to read faster because you can't wait to see what's going to happen next! It's thrilling and unpredictable. It's full of humor and intense feelings. This is a Beautifully written novel that is going to linger on the psyche of readers for quite some time. Hollywood turn this into a movie. Readers BUY this book, it's definitely one to have in your library of great new authors!

GOODREADS GIVEAWAY!!

Needless to say, the cover wasn't that attractive but thankfully the story was, sorta. The pace was moving so fast!!
In the first 20 pages, dozens of people just died and makes you backtrack and say, What the hell just happened?

But I thought that there was more to develop on, and it just ended too shortly.

This book needs mad work, way too many plot holes. I could tell almost immediately that this was a first draft and kudos to getting it published but this was not an immaculately written book. That isn't to say the author wont create art later on.

I won this book as a part of the First reads give away and began to read it right away. I mostly enjoyed this book even though it was a bit predictable, and parts of it were a bit to gruesome and graphic for my personal taste. The story moves at a quick pace to keep the reader interested, though parts of it did feel a bit rushed. The characters were enjoyable and had their own distinct personalities. It ends leaving room for a second or more books to follow which is nice but also always a bit frustrating as a reader wanting to get all the answers. I think this book could use a better editor though, as i found many grammatical errors, almost as if it was only gone over one time. Over all it was an enjoyable quick read, and if you like darker story lines this will probably be a good fit for you.

Really like the story concept and all the descriptive horror in the beginning and not knowing how this was all going to end. I love the idea of the killer being in love with the girl and she in turn falls in love with him. So weird! I felt the grammar wasn't on point though which kind of turned me off.
