Sheltered is a poem about animals who leave their previous hardships behind to find safety and solace in an animal shelter. Too often people have negative views of animal shelters, as well as the animals that end up at such facilities (usually through no fault of their own). Every page of this book features photos of wonderful dogs that have been rescued; every picture was taken at the Highland Lakes SPCA, a no-kill pet rescue organization in central Texas. All proceeds from the sale of this book are donated to the Highland Lakes SPCA.
