The Demon Within
When once proud and powerful demon prince Darius was defeated, disembodied, and reduced to seeking shelter from a little human girl, all he had in mind was hate, rage, and a plan for revenge and redemption. But during his time with the human girl called Maya, he grows to respect her as she endures a life of pain and suffering to fulfill her promise to her one friend, the demon prince.
As a mysterious and handsome man disturbs her usual pace of life, Maya ends up taking a self-destructive route to bring back Darius to the material world and gets saved by the confused demon prince who cannot sort out the feelings he has for the human girl. He flees with the girl as Maya's brother, Auden bears witness.
While the demon prince embarks on his long-awaited journey to claim his throne back with Maya - who proved to be so much more than a mere human - on his side, Auden decides to make a deal with a demon to find and rescue his sister. When the paths of these two demons and two humans converge, secrets buried for millennia are destined to come to light.

Dilshani Yasodhya's mind is a cavernous, dark place, riddled with passageways, each leading to a creature - either wonderous, or foul - to behold. Yet fear of what these fantastical creatures is not what keeps your whiteknuckled grip on the edges of this book, it is hope... yes hope, and love, and even moments of enderament towards both the protagonist and the many msytical beings she comes up against.
Dilshani's creations take on a life of their own; they do and say what they please leaving you wonder how the author keeps a reign on the beasts she hasa unleashed within the pages of her book.
The Demon Within is a marvelous tale, that will take you on an unforgettable adventure, leaving you thristing for the sequel to this novel, Tainted Blood.
