This is my favorite book! I love getting together with friends to sing out of it at home, and I love going to conventions where hundreds of people gather to sit in a hollow square and sing its four-part harmonies.

And outstanding preservation of Americana music history. A fabulous compendium of music, worship styles and melodies preserved from the 18th and 19th centuries. A wonderful catapult into hymnology for those that want to discover or should I say ReDiscover this beautiful music for the 21st century. Highly recommended.
