A pretty good angsty read that doesn’t resolve until the last 10 pages. The two MC’S are good ones and we always know what the two are thinking about each other. I liked the secondary characters. I thought we had a good secondary romance happening as well. However when it looks as though those 2 would have their hea they didn’t. To me it ended abruptly in one small paragraph. I wondered if perhaps they would have their own book, but doesn’t appear so. I didn’t think that part was handled well I wanted to see them together. Especially after what they had been through. Other than that the plot was good, if a little predictable, there was some action and it had me turning pages.
I didn't find it angsty 😕as it is mentioned H loves h's sis , which is actually not. H was just captured with h's sis beauty which he thought as love. Plot was good but the actual content was lacking. Lots of issues are there on this book. Firstly , a thing which was confusing was age of the characters. For example Alyssa h's sis 5 years ago she was just a young girl. What does it mean was she 13 or 14 or what? If it is right then it made hero pervert😬😬 Secondly, a/c to me there were lots of miscommunication and misinterpretations b/w the lead characters. Instead of talking they would assume anything they wanted to assume. Besides this Alyssa was not bad as it's portrayed in the blurb. Beside this I really wanted to see how love bloomed b/w the lead characters for example like Kate helping Nicholas in plantation or how they survived harsh time together. Lastly other problem was Devona's character I really felt sad for her and I was really angry Morgan like what he did with Devona's. I really wanted to read like what was their ending it was like incomplete for me.
