I visit Edinburgh frequently so this was a really interesting guide to the places that have inspired many writers both past and present.

One year living in Edinburgh I believe that the city must have inspired many authors and this book proves me right. This book quotes some lines from several authors using Edinburgh as their settings so it feels like looking at Edinburgh with their point of view. So interesting.

Dividing the section based on the neighbourhood area, this book’s author makes readers feel like joining a guided city tour. I also learned some places I haven’t heard before. Additionally, I discovered an interesting fact that the coffeeshop where JK Rowling wrote several Harry Potter’s chapters are now the chinese noodle place I often visited since it’s very close to my Uni 😂
