Like a lot of short stories I find it extremely hard to judge it as whole. The stand out stories here were by Ali Smith, Jackie Kay, John Burnside, and Sophie Cooke. None of them very traditionally what I would think of as Gothic, but I enjoyed the introduction by Bissett as well, expanding what modern gothic is.
